Going through the tube in London today, massive advert for the Game pullout in the Times, posing the question about possible managergial changes - picture of Big Sam was in the background.

Also, completely random but came across this from a couple of weeks back: TECHNOLOGY pioneer Sam Allardyce is helping an Irish company launch ‘Reflexo’, an automatic ball feeder used at Blackburn’s training camp yesterday which fires balls at all heights and angles to strikers to help with their goal-scoring.

I just hope the Everton game was the kick up the backside it ought to be!

Having hoped this would be the case many times in the recent past, only to be disappointed yet again, I doubt it very much.

Given the recent reported failings of all things automatic at Rovers I dread to think what this machine might produce... It will probably knock them all down like a bunch of skittles.

You know what? When all is said and done, I'm not pro or anti anyone I'm just sick of watching @#/? football.

I don't like the manager but I still want him to succeed because his success is ours. I don't even mind watching poor football if in the end it's winning football. It's watching poor, losing football or even good losing football I can't stand.

People are comparing the start of this season to the start of last, but for me there's one big difference. Last season I was pretty sure we'd struggle, even after a good start - this season I think we'll be fine, even after a bad start. Not sure why that is, but I guess I just have more faith in Allardyce than I had in Ince.

Others are saying that they're sick of crap football, but at home at least I think we've played some decent stuff. West Ham wasn't great until near the end admittedly, but I thought we played well at times against City and we were totally dominant against Wolves (I won't comment on the away games as I've not been to one yet this season). We definitely haven't played the "hoofball" that some say we have.

Normally I would say you can't judge how a season is going to pan out until the end of October at the earliest. However, I think this season, given the squad upheaval that took place over the summer and the fixtures we've got coming up, the judgement should be delayed even further. If we're still in trouble in December then I'll start to worry, until then I'm fairly confident we'll turn things around.

Could do with a win on Saturday mind.

The season is still early yet. And yes, October will be tough. But I'd rather get a rash of tough games out of the way sooner, than delay them to mid-season.

Sam has made some decisions which are hard to understand. On the other hand, he has information I don't. So I will trust in Sam. And I will be content if we get to the end of October with 10 points, which is very possible and not unrealistic. And with a lot of luck, 20 by the end of the year.

Anyone noticed how little I post anymore, Big Sam and his football bore me. I hate the way he has us playing, the signings look crap, the footy is predictable and boring, OK I've seen one game this season but to be honest I don't think I want to watch anymore if that is how we play. Young Hoillet is a bright spot as is Dunny but FFS long balls over the top against Everton, give me a break. Don't expect us to do much this season and I certainley don't expect us to beat the Dingles.

I think Sam is losing the fans. His confrontational highway-myway outburst shows he is struggling. I want every Rovers manager to suceed, relegation might finish us for a good few years.

Sam in the cold light does know what he is doing and his perceptiveness stands him above many others. However is weaknesses are he studies things too much and can't see the wood for the trees and compounds this with a nervous disposition that over eggs caution and undermines reason. He can take the pressure and the heart moniitor study he ince did confirmed that.

It's no surprise Sam can't produce winning, the best he can produce is teams that try not to lose.

Poor selection and tactics, and lack of a Plan B lost us the game on Sunday.

He will lose the dressing room for sure if he carries on like this.

Surrendering midfield then conceding three of the softest goals you are going to see all season cost us on Sunday.

With the Forest game meaning a departure for Nottingham yesterday, at least there was a certain rationale about the early start.

I doubt they will have travelled yesterday for an evening kick off today which is only a 2 1/2 hour drive away.

Either way it makes it doubly questionable to drag the Alderly Edge set from their beds at ~5am the day after a match, especially when it's also the day before the next match.

I have absolutely no sympathy for any of them, but have doubts they will react the way Allardyce intended.

Grey and overcast with a promise of sunshine later.............. :)

Not the worst weather for a morning training.

They shouldn't be angry at Allardyce for dragging them out early. They should be ashamed by their effort and lack of focus on Sunday, not blaming the manager.

Our "boys" are too far up their own rears and have consistently underperformed for the best part of 2 years. They are in no position to dictate how we should be playing or not. Thats my opinion. Even though I am not happy with one up front, I feel the players who are earning loads have to pull their fingers out and start giving what they are capable of.

Dressing room? Unless I have missed a post you still haven't replied to me on his situation in the boardroom Tris.

It's not what it seems. The rationale is explained lower down the article.

"Rovers boss Allardyce was desperate to put things right - and the two-hour breakfast stint meant he could attend Sir Bobby Robson's memorial service in Durham. "

Bit boring for the Sun really so they had to add a bit of controversy by putting their own spin on things. Why can some people still not grasp the tactics and motives of the red tops?
