gillibrand Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 i think bfs is more off a man than that, why would he go to a club whose fans did not want him 6 months ago?it's not like he has only a couple off hundred left in the bank!!!!!!!!!!!! Only some of the fans, a lot did want him, but also a lot of fans wanted a continental manager wth the hope we would play like Real Madrid!

MCMC1875 Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 According to this morning's Sun, Allardyce is very interested in the Sunderland job. Plan C was again.............?? er....there was no plan C Rev!
joey_big_nose Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 er....there was no plan C Rev! Why whose that I see ridin in on the dawn? No, it can't be?S..S..S..Souness?I never thought he would be back.... mental.
MCMC1875 Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 er....there was no plan C Rev! Jesus - its Souey and Tugay!!!!
dr_awol Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Jesus - its Souey and Tugay!!!! Tugay/Souness sounds ok to me, maybe our players need that slap on the back of the head just before each game, short term anyway, then when tugay is ready to take control after being showen the ropes he can step up.
EwoodGlory Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Ince Out. Souness in until the end of the season. We stay up, Souey get's a long term deal. Perfect
Bobby G Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Tugay in a suit running up and down the touchline, or I should say coasting up and down the touchline...Not the worst thing that can happen...
Amo Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 How good is Tugay's English? Never met him or seen him in an interview.
The Prof. Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 How good is Tugay's English? Never met him or seen him in an interview. Tugay's English is great - but he is totally incomprehensible. Even when he talks Turkish no other Turks know what he's on about apparently. Rovers will make him press officer.
yellowsubmarine Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Tugay's performance wasn't outstanding but he stood up above nearly all the Rovers players tonight. It's a shame, we still need a near-40 year old man to lead the way. He got the sponsor's MOM award by the way.
Hughesy Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Ssamba was probably our best player today, with Tugay a very close 2nd.
Bobby G Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 The People are reporting that the players are split into two camps of who they would prefer, with Tugay supporting Souness and Dunn supporting Allardyce. Firstly I hope that in whichever scenario, the other player doesnt get marginalized, but on a more pertinent point, we never had a poll on Allardyce but this may be more relevant. Can someone make a poll here please. Personally Id go for Allardyce...Although sentiment for the good old days makes it a tough choice. But what swings it for me is that players never have bad things to say about Big Sam, or his techniques...

If thias really is the choice then I want an option that says "find someone else" as we have no chance of survival with souness and as is well-documented, I hate allardyce
Clitherover Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Would prefer Allardyce, but isn't he going Sunderland?
Roost Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 If thias really is the choice then I want an option that says "find someone else" as we have no chance of survival with souness and as is well-documented, I hate allardyce Me too Gum
gillibrand Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Me too Gum Who would you prefer Jose Murinio perhaps?
Mr Creosote Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Who would you prefer Jose Murinio perhaps? Are you going to have a big sulk when Allardyce goes to Sunderland?
scotchrover Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Anyones better than them two. Look Below Frank Clark- Forest where bottom when he took over and a season after they finnished third, when we finnished as champions. Dave Bassett could also be a name. Had success at wimbledon. Ron Atkinson could also be a possiblility David O'Leary had experiance in the prem (kept Villa up with no money) before and in the Champions League final John Gregory had a limited amount of money at Villa and when he left they where top of the league. George Graham- Dull but will sort the defence out and should stay up Terry Venables kept boro up all those years ago behind the scean David Pleat- Prem experiance Successful at Luton Greame Taylor- It won't be nice and certainly watching but we wil stay up with the turnip. Also had a limited amount of money at villa. Peter Reid- kept leeds up with a win at Arsenal on the last day of the season NO MONEY Howard Wilkinson- Won the league with Leeds many moons back. Joe Royle- took City from the second division into the prem. Lennie Lawrence- Used to a relegation battle, managed Grimsby and Boro kept them both up. (No money at Grimsby) Eddie Gray- Gave Leeds a fighting chance in the prem after they seemed to be dead and buired. NO MONEY These blokes have all managed in the prem before and may just get us out the mess where in. As you can tell though it has to be anybody BUT Souness and allardyce for me How about you.
whittle blue Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 To be honest Scotch Rover, I'd have anyone except them! (That doesn't include Ince, of course)
Hughesy Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Bruce or Allardyce for me, with Tugay involved no matter who gets the job.
gillibrand Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Are you going to have a big sulk when Allardyce goes to Sunderland? Most probably.
Shevchenko Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Before Newcastle did us all a favour we were headed towards an absolute train wreck with Souness, who had completely lost the plot. Allardyce did well over many years with a club in similar circumstances (town club, limited budget etc.) and on paper looks like the obvious choice and better candidate. So of the two, I'd take Allardyce please.
AndyC Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 big sam. no questions. came within a whisker of getting the england job after years of sustained improvements at bolton. forward thinking. heavy emphasis on coaching and new techniques. gets the best out of players can't believe that anyone would go for the man who almost destroyed our club! people on here have incredibly short memories!
EwoodGlory Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Souness until the end of the season. If we finish safe then an option for a longer contract.
