The silly bugger should never have left.

Do you think McDonald could do they job?

The players seemed up for it when he was in charge.

He did well at Carlisle but this is the premiership, has a got his pro license?

The lad Burnley missed out on O'Driscoll has and is a top coach, plays football too!!

For me, I would try and get Steve Clarke, may never happen but going back to Sparky I dont think is an option!!

Well Nicko, if there ever was an invitation for the fans to make their discontent heard, in the belief that it could harm the manager quickly, this is it.

And before you get annoyed, I have no problem with fans voicing their opinion, - just pointing out the reality.

All of this before the Villa match... wonderful.

We will get to see how the players feel when they start to play thats for sure.

If they support Sam they will play like maniacs if they dont they wont.

Next game would be the real show though due to this being a cup game.

People need to remember that getting rid of Ince was relatively straight forward as there was an obvious alternative. Here there is not. I dont really care if Sam stays or leaves however, Iam worried that there are no replacements with premier league experience. Id have more faith that Sam could keep us up then many of the other potential candidates who all seem to be coming from the lower divisions.

Interesting but pretty much what has been said on here since last night.

I know this will get me flamed again off the nicko-teens but...........

It is remarkably similar to what has been said on here.

Especially the contributions of Hughesy and insiderover79 on the "Enough is Enough" thread.

Edit: I note our old friend Vinjay has commented at the bottom of the article and managed to turn it round into a rant about the Walkers.

I wouldn't want any of the out-of-work managers who have Prem experience. Unless there's some I can't remember.

Peter Reid especially would be a nightmare. After Ince, Addashite to get him ... I'd seriously consider jumping off of Deal Pier.

Curbishley - NO

Strachan - just got a new job but I'm not too keen anyway, but better than Curbishley

Who else?????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

Souness - doesn't want it anyway, a complete non-starter

Hoddle - really scraping the barrel now

Hool-a-hoop - can't stand him

Megson - oh dear no

Coppell - doesn't set me on fire

Phil Scolari - er, no!

Dowie

Jewell

Mclaren

Southgate

It's all dross out there.

EDIT: Maybe we could hang on until end of season and get avram Grant in after Pompey go down?

Madness - who would of known eh!

Vinjay just makes you laugh -

That main picture shows the man who Blackburn Rovers should have appointed last December in the background. The author of this article stated Mancini did indeed apply after Ince was sacked. This club needs new ownership and anyone should be able to see that Mancini would have attracted attention more than a dour northerner like Allardyce ever will.

I don't hate Allardyce but long term he's not right for this club. He is simply a transitional manager until the club gets decent owners. If he is replaced I can't really imagine who it would be. Jack Walker wanted big name managers at this club so if the owners followed his wishes for once it would have to be a major name. Bigger than Allardyce.

Just as long as it isn't Leslie Hughes. I wouldn't be surprised though I guess the club didn't quite manage to lose him to Man United last time. Who knows maybe another 4 years of pure hell with him linking himself to Man Utd week after week. Never mind the fact that Jack Walker hated them and wouldn't sell Shearer to them apparently we aren't allowed to dislike them anymore. People could complain in 1996 but I'm not allowed to complain now.

Replacing Allardyce still would not cure the main problem at this football club. Any progress that is made the owners will ruin as per usual. Takeover is essential.

my guess for blackburn manager until the summer(i believe he`d have already been approached) is geovanni trappatoni on a short term deal. the club will only then consider long term options after the outcome of our relegation fight.

if i`m right, it`d be one hell of a guess..

I'd be happy with this. He would get us competing. Have you heard something?

McDonald was sacked by Carlisle so why do you think he would do any better for us especially when he claimed afterwards Allardyce had a hand in the tactics and picking the team!!

Why Steve Clarke yes hes a proven assistant manager and is staunch London based so to tempt him up here is a massive risk which i doubt will come off!!

if o.driscoll, clake and mcdonald is the best options for the post i`d rather keep sam in charge. those 3 would DEFINATLY take us down.

Nicko's article in the Mirror says Sam has two games to save his job. Not sure if he is just repeating what we are saying here or he "knows" something more substantial.

I really doubt that John Williams would really give him a "two game deadline" to save his job. But if we do perform poorly in these games, it's only logical he'd become one of the favorites for the sack.

The sad thing is, however, that I don't see how he can turn it around. If he hasn't learned by now that starting with Andrews and playing hoofball to one upfront isn't going to work, then he clearly doesn't know what he's doing.

Here's hoping the last trashing has made him "see the light" and stop expecting performances from people that can't deliver in formation they are in and people that can't deliver at all. But it'd truly be a last-gasp miracle.

Wouldn't Trappotoni play Andrews every match though? :-s

No offence to Nicko, but anyone on here could have written that. No quotes, not even from `An Insider`. I hazard it is all conjecture based on the mass hysteria found on this very website since 10pm Monday night. Even if we loose both games, I would be astonished if Fatty got potted.

I think aslong as we keep our heads above water - then Sam will probably stay - at least until the end of the season.

Yesterday was just a massive reaction to the night before I think. Hopefully a couple of decent results can get us back on track.

Problem for Sam is that he has never had a large section of the fans behind him anyway.

Been trawling through the start of this thread, its been interesting reading. However I have found another example of Hughesy prediction ability, you can't doubt him anymore.

Who didnt get the England Job? Allardyce

Who got sacked from the Toon? Allardyce

Who looks like he is about to die of a heart attack? Allardyce

Who looks like he is a character out of the Royal Family? Allardyce

Who pulled out of the last job? Allardyce

Impressive.

EDIT: In reference to a replacement for Sam, then I'd be going abroad and speaking to the man I didn't want back when Ince was appoinntted,

wallyDM2111_468x819.jpg

He's done really well in Holland since England.

I was keen on McLaren when Hughes went and was laughed out of town. He's not an international manager that's for sure but he's a dam good coach and I think he's going to get a top European club before too long. Sadly, I think we've missed the boat.

Jose Mourinho wants to come back to England..........one can dream!

He'll only be wanting to visit Blackburn once a season though. Of that you can be sure. (Or Bolton, for that matter).
