Jim Royle Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 So, we might not want Sam out but I think it is important to voice our opinion in a considered way on his style of play and tactics etc. These views must be allowed and encouraged. We must ALL keep supporting and attending the club we will always love. Ok, fine, but the booing of Rovers players coming onto pitch as a sub, the booing of Rovers players being subbed, the chanting of desired formations etc is total crass. What is wrong with the old fashioned whinge in the local after the match, trouble is if I do whinge in the pub I'm likely to be found by waggy whom seems to have his radar set on "Sam detractor" ...as for Abbey..........well, does the bad machine not know he is a bad machine?

Neil Weaver Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 If your local pub started selling cheap watered down ale and become boring would you still go if the beer was crap? Abs, dunno, ask Waggy
tonyoz Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Same here. I'll be renewing every season for the forseeable future (unless personal circumstances mean I can't, for whatever reason). As long as I am within a 20/30mile radius, I will renew my season ticket every chance I get, no matter the cost. People talk about the style of play as if it is the be all and end all of football. No, it isn't. What matters is your love for the club (and indeed it is like relationship!) If you don't renew on the basis of style of play, or who's in charge, HOW can you claim to love the club? It's BS reasoning by anybody's standards! Even MINE! Hi mellison..........here is an article from a Stoke fan who seems to have the same philosophy as you. Don't read it if you are of a nervous disposition! http://www.whydelilah.co.uk/blog/staffsstokieblackburn-h-saturday-6th-february-can-we-play-you-every-week
yoda Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 I grew up on Monty Pythons, which is fortunate as it helps to have a sense of humour when it comes to supporting the Rovers. 11th in the Premier League 3 wins from safety ###### luxury, we had to stand on the Blackburn end in 1970 and watch us get relegated against Millwal 0-2 as another live long sufferer would say GET A GRIP ps Jim Iley is worst manager I have had to suffer at ewood by a long way but it is the club I support, players and staff come and go, not the club
AggyBlue Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 as another live long sufferer would say GET A GRIP That would make a good book title. I agree about Jim Iley too, his tenure was painful.

ABBEY Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Sams horse running today(co owner) come on you trotters.....speaks volumes really.
S15 Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 As does the fact Rovers sit in 11th with him, and Bolton sit 19th without him. Now try spending a day without bombarding us with your boring completely pathetic/irrelevant swipes at the manager.
imy9 Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Interesting that Sam has essentially taken a team that was 19th in the league 5 points from safety to 11th 8 points clear minus 21 million in transfers since that point and some people can't let go of their hatred for Sam!If this was Hughes in charge we would hear that the style of football is currently down to injuries and would change once certain players were back, but as its Sam there is the personal sniping, a shame really as I think he has done a superb job.

ABBEY Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 As does the fact Rovers sit in 11th with him, and Bolton sit 19th without him. Now try spending a day without bombarding us with your boring completely pathetic/irrelevant swipes at the manager. And you could try stopping stalking me ....11th ...do you hand on heart belieive we will finish there? Gotta dash work to do.
S15 Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 And you could try stopping stalking me ....11th ...do you hand on heart belieive we will finish there? Gotta dash work to do. Hand on heart do I think we can finish 11th? Get a grip man. All season you've been saying whenever we rise above 15th ''do you believe we'll finish there,'' well it's mid February and we're actually rising more than we're falling, and building up a pretty large cushion.
thenodrog Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 we have the cheapest season tickets in the premier, what if lardarse is in charge next season and the season tickets go up by 20%.how many season ticket holders will renew,we will still have cheap season tickets but will we still have the same number of season ticket holders Who cares? Financially it hardly matters just as long as we are still being passed the Premier gravy boat does it? And if we'd stuck with your man Ince we certainly wouldn't be getting that and also we'd be down to home gates between 12-15000 too. Whats next up on your pathetic little griping list Mardarse? How about a pop at the club for allowing SA a seat in the JW without having to pay? Why don't you just put up and shut up. Allardyce will likely be gone next season so will you then return to Ewood? Somehow I doubt it. You'll just find another reason to vegetate by sitting in the Walmesley all Sat afternoons.
Backroom trueblue Posted February 13, 2010 Backroom Posted February 13, 2010 Sams horse running today(co owner) come on you trotters.....speaks volumes really. Well he can hardly change the name of his flaming race horse can he? .. and isn't the horse called 'European Dream' anyway?
FourLaneBlue Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 I thought Phil Brown and Sam bought a racehorse together and called it 'European Dream' Never heard of one called 'come on you trotters' In fact...it is....it is called European Dream...and it is Newbury Can European Dream cheer Whites heroes?
T4E Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Sams horse running today(co owner) come on you trotters.....speaks volumes really. Poor effort Abs. The messageboard equivalent of a Jason Roberts one-on-one.
mellison24 Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Poor effort Abs. The messageboard equivalent of a Jason Roberts one-on-one. I was thinking along the lines of a Keith Andrews pass, but that is much better. I actually forgot about Roberts entirely. Not too hard to do I suppose...
thenodrog Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Sams horse running today(co owner) come on you trotters.....speaks volumes really. European Dream. Dunno when his owners listed as 'You Trotters' bought it but the horse is 7 and was born in 03. 'You trotters' being Sam Allardyce and Phil Brown. Do you think for one minute that Hull fans are up in arms too Abbey or does chucking mud at Brown not suit your purpose?
FourLaneBlue Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 To be fair ABBEY was right though...the co-owners are "you trotters"?
T4E Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 To be fair ABBEY was right though...the co-owners are "you trotters"? Doesn't change the fact that it's completely irrelevant to everything.
FourLaneBlue Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Doesn't change the fact that it's completely irrelevant to everything. Well it's not irrelevant to EVERYTHING though is it? Sure...it is irrelevant to the Middle East crisis, the Haitian earthquake and the title race but it is relevant to the name the guys put down as owners of that horse donkey's-years ago. On the other hand...relevance to Sam's job as manager of Rovers...the square root of zero.
broadsword Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Who Sam Allaryce supports is neither he nor there. He is paid a fortune to put his own affiliations to one side and do his best for Blackburn Rovers. That should not be in question, what should be questioned is whether his best is good enough.
