That I agree with. But he didn't set us up to lose did he? At least, I didn't think he did. No strikers on the field suggests that, and the players didn't do their job. they actually staved off the liverpool players and let them romp. While Torres' goal was Fan-frigging-tastic, we shouldn't have allowed him that time and space. The line-up and tactics weren't ideal, but they weren't 'wrong'. Liverpool were flying high above us and Sam set out for a draw. And the TEAM folded.

Yep, I'm sure I am. At least I go and sing, shout and support my team. I also don't blindly follow Big Sam. I might be boring to you but at least I don't sound like a broken record.

There's a huge difference between genuine criticism of the manager and his tactics and the trite 'Lardarse' 'Hoofball' comments that get paraded on here by certain members. Even those who dislike Big Sam have acknowledged that we are playing better than just 'Hoofball' recently.

1. Our away form is a joke

2. Our style of play is enough to bore you into a coma

3. Our manager has spent a lot of more money (compared to what others have had) and half of that has been wasted on crap.

4. Only reason we are not bottom 3 is because the league is crap from top 7 down.

We didn't have a striker on the field. We had a makeshift centre-half on his own. Let's be sensible here: I'm not suggesting Sam openly told them to throw the game, but his actions spoke louder than words.

3. Our manager has spent a lot of more money (compared to what others have had)(so what? It's CLEARLY starting to work, look at our current form) and half of that has been wasted on crap (exaggeration - Salgado has had a couple of good games, only REAL crap away to everton, so that leaves freebie EVH and Diouf).

4. Only reason we are not bottom 3 is because the league is crap from top 7 down. (And we are better than at least 4 of them, that's all that matters....and how is this Sam's fault exactly?)

Jacobsen – Why sign a reserve rightback? Waste of wages.

Kalanic – Shown potential but if he is worth 6 million im worth half that!

The only pluses I see are

N’zonzi – stays fit and cheap (also keeps Andrews away from the first 11)

Chimbonda – Versatile but everyone knew he has ability

Givet – Wasted at left back but quality centre half.

On the teams worse than us… No its not BFS fault but think of where we would be if we beat someone of the @#/? that are down there. Sunderland, Hull, West Ham instantly spring to mind.

I'm fairly confident that Abbey is right. While his opinion of Sam is far off the mark, he seems to get many of the foundational facts right. My only regret, if accurate, is that I did not take the chance to crack open a six pack to celebrate the Rovers return to the top half. A missed opportunity.

4 out of those 6 didn't cost a penny in transfer fees, we can't expect quality if we're not prepared to spend. I think you've been harsh on Jacobsen too by the way, he's done a fine job at replacing Ooijer.

I think you may have lost touch with what £6 million buys you now, in reference to your point about Kalinic. Look at what the other £6-£8 million strikers signed this summer have achieved, Kalinic has probably turned out the best of the lot.

This weekend is about Blackburn Rovers v Bolton Wanderers.

What we need to do is get behind the team on Sunday and we need to get behind the MANAGER too! lets create a positive atmosphere and spur the lads on to victory. Local pride is at stake and by singing for the team AND the manager we can help to retain the pride we have build over the recent games against all our local rivals.

Personally I am excited about the game, I'm happy that it's lunchtime on Sunday rather than Monday evening and I really fancy us against a misfiring Bolton side.

Come on lads, lets get behind the team and the manager on Sunday and raise the roof, it's a massive game for us.

on another note ,i was speaking to someone who has a 10k box at ewood and has had one since they were available.(local company...no name mentioned...promised.)He wines and dines clients and he has said he wont be renewing if the manager is the same at the reypayment time,as its " DEPRESSING LAUNCHBALL AND THE CLIENTS HAVE EVEN BEEN LEAVING AT HALF TIME".

I'm suprised anybody pays for corporate hospitality these days. We've all done it and bought the T shirt and it's soooooo 1990's.
