No I stayed on side until the United away game in the cup...or perhaps even the pompey game prior to that when we threw away a goal near the end!

Best to give managers time (See Fergie) rather than jump up and down like some muppet at every single result! ;)

Don't agree with that concerning the likes of Ince. Dunno why everybody with even half a brain cell didn't see fit to write him off at the first interview stage. That decision cost us in the region of a couple of million!!!

In hindsight we should have appointed Allardyce back then. No wonder he withdrew when he saw the numpty that John Williams had him playing second fiddle to. How wrong can you be?

Oh did he pull the cord and matron went running with tactics? We played footy that day so it wasn't the expert..Chelsea ? Was at home...put me back on ignore emma there's a good lad.

Abbey mate why so serious son? Oh you do get your little knickers in a twist don't you BABEY?

BABEY-Question- do you think a manager allows their deputy to pick a side and allow them to play how the deputy wants or how the manager wants, as I think based on your brilliant theory Neil Mcdonald should be Rovers manager...

Chelsea at home I think Macca was in charge too, so I was assuming you would give him credit for that too... Pet.

Not saying he is infallible Gumboots. Why do people pick up on him quoting himself as an expert though? In any interpretation, that's what he is. Like it or not.

He used the term to suggest he should be above questioning by mere mortals like us. Now it might have been tongue in cheek, but I don't think so, and whilst he obviously does know more than us, sometimes we seem to see more than he does. We don't see his reacting to things that seem glaringly obvious to us and so we question his decisions and that seems to irk him, as though being the expert round here, he never gets things wrong. We know he's the expert, but we are the people on whom the club depends - without fans Rovers would not exist - and we have the right to complain if we don't like what we're seeing and we are entitled to opinions, just as in any other walk of life. People pick on his saying it because it was a patronising thing to say if it wasn't said jokingly and people don't like to be patronised.

The reason Sam had a dig at the fans is because after saving us from what looked a pretty certain relegation, four or five games into the following season some fans were moronic enough to be turning on him on the back of a home draw.

If I was viewing it from the outside, I's view that kind of fan reaction as moronic as the kind seen at Newcastle, Spurs et al over the past decade or so.

And, as we sit here in March, ten points clear of relegation, I think enough points have been proved. Away form has been poor this season, but the last two have shown improvement and signs of promise. Home form, magnificent. New, young team being slowly formed.

End of thread really, but no, now we here how ''Me and my 4 mates in the pub think Allardyce is a c***,'' and ''A bloke sat three seats away from me shouted 'Boring' last Saturday,"...

WE DON'T CARE. The anti Sam brigades argument is getting more feeble as weeks go on. As stated, the home form is brilliant, and new young blood has dispelled previous perceptions of the manager. Anyone without a cork up their arse can see the football's pretty similar to how it was under Hughes, however the PERSONNEL IS NOT. If that's what's annoying you, then your issues lay firmly with people above the manager.

A couple of away results before the seasons out and bulls**t comments like 'I've never known Ewood so down,' and 'somethings definitely wrong' will be as transparent to everyone as it has been to at least a significant amount of us for some time...

PERSONAL AGENDA.

Ps. Get Browny is as number two and rename Ewood the 'Umbro Stadium.'

Don't worry the Dark Lord, the anti-christ and their minions aren't getting feeble at all, they are all just slumbering in their coffins and waiting. They'll be back as soon as it goes dark again to torment us and draw the Final Conflict ever closer.

As opposed to some who don't have an opinion on anything but simply come on here to look down their snotty noses at anything that moves?

I'm not having a dig at the manager for the job he's done - just trying to explain to those who still don't get it why his expert remark might irritate even those who are basically on his side. I don't fall into either pro or anti allardyce in that I can't stand what i know of the man but I can't see why we should want to get rid of him as manager. Warm to him I certainly won't: accept him I do. Someone asked why people keep bringing up the expert comment - I've told you why it annoys people - that's all.

Things are starting to come together for us and I think we'll be a lot more capable away from home next season.

As soon as we get a win I think it will turn round, you can see it's a confidence thing.

We started really brightly against Spurs, passing it around well and looking dangerous (the sweeping move that ended with Chimbonda cutting back to Olsson was great) so obviously the pre-match preparations worked. However, after that 15 minutes Spurs had a bit of the ball, then every time we won it we misplaced passes all over the place, so much so that you could hear the reaction in the Spurs crowd.

After that bad spell all our confidence was zapped, the players had less belief to start playing from deep in midfield so the balls started getting long. I don't think the Bale vs Salgado thing helped either, we could never relax (something Sam has to take the blame for).

The result that I still feel disappointed about is the West Ham one, we dominated them in the final 30 minutes and created several clear cut chances, that was a massive missed opportunity in terms of binning this away hoodoo.

It's also worth noting that away from is pretty dreadful across every team in the Premier League. We only have one win away...but then the best the teams from 9th downwards have managed is three wins, so it doesn't take much of a turnaround to match our away form to those around us.

His "I'm the expert, not you" is completely valid and has been taken out of his proportion. If he was a doctor, and the fans were a patient and he was saying "I'm the expert, not you" in response to the patient not following his advice, then I don't think many people would call him a cock for that.

When you're trying to do your job and you constantly have people with very little knowledge of the job trying to tell you what to do and how to do it, it will get a little frustrating. People who keep calling Sam "the expert" sarcastically are just too caught up in their own self-importance.

Maybe try using it yourself? Blackberry's not blackberry but don't worry Pet. I can call you what I like mate is an expression, its not offensive, look back at your previous messages, you called me Emma, see me crying and whining?

You try being humourous then are all angry and annoyed when you get it back...

You don't like it then put me on ignore...

he likes publicly slating his players doesnt he, is this the right approach to boost the confidence of a team which is certaintly lacking it. maybe he should look closer at the style of football he is playing, cant remeber Kalinic having the ball facing forward or a through pass attacking the defence
