:rover: because we play manu on sunday, and lard@rse has a chequered past :brfc:

They are both racehorse owners and obviously interested in racing. They are supposedly friends and in the same line of business too. You find it worthy of malicious comment? When are you going to mature?

btw I understand it was Fergy who was doing the brown nosing! :P

I hope he reads this and contacts his solicitor. :xmas: No, on second thoughts the site would cop the blame. Worst of your increasingly stupid posts Waggy

You must be a bit sad if one of your chief pasttimes is finding any old excuse to slag off the manager of the club you're supposed to support..even though he's doing a good job.

Get a life.

The good thing about this is that the wagster is now running out of ways of abusing Sam. He now has to comment on Sam PRIVATE life away from the club!

Wagster, stop living in denial, either support your club or keep your pathetic comments to yourself. Opinions are one thing but your disliking of our manager is twisted. How can you dislike somebody who is good for our club?

I have been involved in football and other sports all my life, I hate losing, even Ludo with my kids, if I am losing the board gets kicked 10 foot into the air, I dont know of anyone in football who would throw a game, well, maybe the odd few, but Sam isnt one of them!!

What a superb job Sam has done in a short space of time. So many people in recent weeks have been saying to me, good result for you today, and what a decent season we are having.

We were a sinking ship when he took over, but there is no doubt the pride is slowing returning.

Yep. 10th would be brilliant as it'd mean top half, but given we have a few tough matches in the run in, it might prove difficult. I did the predictor and had us 11th. Still we won't finish below 12th now which is a good achievement.

I was dead against conversations about our style of play earlier on this season as results and consolidation were the two most important things this season by far. However now we've achieved stability and we don't look like having any vital big name players leaving this summer (and even if our biggest asset Samba goes, it won't have anywhere near the same impact given who we have in reserve), we can look at building on this next season and maybe mixing it up a bit. Bolton at their best under Sam weren't that bad a team to watch at all and had their fair share of entertaining matches, but that only happened once he had the team fully shaped in his image with two or three flair players in there that he'd brought in.

Sam has brought a much needed solidity to our side, hopefully the next phase is adding a bit of creativity as we know he's done it at Bolton previously.

He needs to be given money in the summer. Get some pace in midfield to support Kalinic and a central midfielder that stays healthy to play alongside N'Zonzi and we're a top half team.

He isn't going to say we need better strikers, is he. :)

Anyway, Robbo says he's the best manager he's ever played under. Are there any Paul Ince fans still around?

Nope at least none who are out of an asylum. Problem is there are still loads of Sam Haters around. They've gone mighty quiet recently of course but they are just biding their time to put the boot in as soon as we hit a bad spell as all teams do from time to time. I even had to put one right who was talking complete @#/? on the concourse at half time yesterday. :angry2:

Our defence is very solid and they all will be here next season too. Sam has done great job there. Now he must find some pace to midfield. We couldn´t do any counter-attacks against Utd because of lack of pace. There were few good chances. Actually it´s easy to play against us because you can always rely on the fact that we can do none fast counter-attacks. There is the chance to turn draws to our wins. I have faith on you Sam.

I wouldn't be too sure about keeping Samba next season He was excellent yesterday and has been since Jones came into the side. I hope we are going to get Jones signed up pronto as well. He looks a lot better than Smalling and United just shelled out 8 million for him!

We defended excellently yesterday but Niko was very isolated. He needs some help whether that be in the form of a partner or better support from midfield...

Sam's doing an excellent job, I hope the board see that giving him an increase in funding would be an investment.

You may be correct about Samba, but I think that is a reason Sam tied him down to a long deal recently. If he goes Sam will have the money to replace him. I just hope if he does go that he doesn't go to Aston Vanilla or Spuds and goes somewhere with a realistic chance of winning something! If he stays I think he will replace Nelson as captain next season.

Sam has made some excellent signings and some odd team selections to get us to joint 10th in the table, this has got to be a success for this season. Well done Sam, I for one am looking forward to a good solid season next season, it may not be pretty but needs must.

Keep up the good work Sam!

I agree with you there. We're looking like an Allardyce team now (take that how you will) with our commitment and organisation, whilst frustrating the big boys. That extra piece of quality is what separates us from a mid-table side to European chasers. If Sam can find the right players and give us something to cheer about on the road once in awhile, we could be dark horses for Europe next year.
