Backroom Tom Posted December 17, 2008 Backroom Posted December 17, 2008 ITS OFFICIAL SSN 3 YEARS DEAL
sambo Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 3 year deal CONFIRMED definitely Rovers boss, done deal
gillibrand Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 You won't persuade me. Who cares as long as Rovers climb the premiership table, and when they do I'm sure you will come running to the games!
Lathund Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Never liked him but I can't deny that he did an excellent job at Bolton, and I think he'll do a good job here as well. He certainly has my support.
greggyk Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I'm happy with this...More than confident we'll be ok this season now
Tom 1 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 As an neutral, it's not an appointment I'd be happy with, he's a prick, but lets be honest options were limited and I'd put money on you staying up with him as manager.
Mr. E Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 NO! FOR FFS NO ! This man does not give a **** about us and is here only for his own career. This is not our team anymore. This is sickening.
bellamy11 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 This man...is here only for his own career. Well duh!
CrazyIvan Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Same as with Ince, give the bloke a chance!
john-rover Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 NO! FOR FFS NO ! This man does not give a **** about us and is here only for his own career. This is not our team anymore. This is sickening. thats just silly, Ince was far more for his own career then bfs could ever be....
LeChuck Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Mr E...any manager we appoint would be here for their own career. That's how the world works, not just football. I worry for you sometimes. Delighted with this appointment, let's hope it's not too late. One thing I think can be guaranteed - he won't want 'old-schoolers' like Mathias and Knox hanging around too long, or someone completely unqualified like Winterburn telling the defence what to do.

Souness was a Rovers man, even if he did dump us. BFS is Bolton, our nearest prem rivals, through and through.
gumboots Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Who cares as long as Rovers climb the premiership table, and when they do I'm sure you will come running to the games! Not even if Rovers are winning 10 nil and playing like arsenal at their best. Sorry but I love watching rovers but not that man.
Mr. E Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Same as with Ince, give the bloke a chance! If in 3 games we do not have 2 wins, I start chanting Fat Sam out. People didn't give Ince time, I sure as heck hope they don't give BFS any more either.
bob fleming Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Souness was a Rovers man, even if he did dump us. BFS is Bolton, our nearest prem rivals, through and through. Didn't they both end up at Newcastle?!
LeftWinger Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I'm absolutely delighted! I'm not sure there is a better man for this! Rick
gillibrand Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Big Sam has got presence and will put his stamp on the team, totally opposite of the embarrassing no mark we have just thankfully got shut of!
bob fleming Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 People didn't give Ince time Yes they did. Too much time in my opinion. What did you want another two or three loses on the bounce?
iamarover Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Not even if Rovers are winning 10 nil and playing like arsenal at their best. Sorry but I love watching rovers but not that man. I am assuming you have personal experience of meeting Sam and have a psychological scar running deep inside your soul as a result of that encounter. Nothing else can explain such an illogical response.
gillibrand Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Not even if Rovers are winning 10 nil and playing like arsenal at their best. Sorry but I love watching rovers but not that man. Methinks the lady doth protest too much!
S15 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 If only I could be bothered to look up some of the summer posts made on here. Welcome and good luck Sam.
MI ROVER Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Mr E - You are making yourself look a fool give up now pal
