:rover: LARD@RSE FOR LIVERPOO :rolleyes::brfcsmilie:

why would he even consider Liverpool. Rovers are on the up and Liverpool are on the slide. Only 3 places the diference last season. Liverpool have to sell their players to pay off debts. Rovers at present do not. Nope the grass is greener where Sam is now.

Maybe we should all sing WAGGY THE DINGLE

You still here Waggy?

He's still in the corner that he painted himself into if thats what you mean. Even though I detect a certain irony and the accompanying whiff of defeat in his posts I don't think he can easily get out now either.

He never stopped digging when everybody else did. :wstu:

Sam was on the telly here on Al Jazeera for their WC Breakfast Show this morning again. Reflected what we all thought about last nights match, but also said he did mention to the FA during his job interview back then that the Premier League is bigger than the national team in this country and that prevents good English players from coming through.

Wouldn't hold your breath on that one, maybe wishful thinking on your part, Sam has achieved more than expected on a small budget.

If your dreams came true and he left to go somewhere else, who would you want to replace him and I'm talking a manger who we could attract, sometimes it's better the devil you know.

Sam's in line for a well deserved contract extension, I would assume.

But if Sam really wants to retire (which I doubt), then I would like Avram Grant. Though prying him from the clutches of West Ham may take some doing. Alternatively, promote Neil McDonald to manager and make Sam chief scout.

Ah yes Sam and his infamous "England interview". He did a "multimedia presentation" you know. On a DVD. :glare:

Sam has the Rovers players back on Monday- the first PL club to be back on training.

He says we weren't fit last season. Whilst confused as to why we were not fit, I have to agree fitness levels were below what we came to expect in the Sparky era and am very glad Sam has decided to get it sorted out.

One of the problems with fitness last season was probably the after effects of the previous season. Ince plus having to work so hard to make sure we stayed up and the nerves around that etc probably meant that we came back less well rested after holidays than we would have done if we'd had a good season. This season we should be more relaxed anyway and then a good preseason should sort us out totally.

I do look at Spurs, I look at the money spent, three 12 million plus strikers to start with and they let Keane leave on loan, I think if you look at the value of their squad it will be close on £60 million plus!!

What would we have done with that amount of cash, wonder if Spuds will go the route of 'Arrys' other clubs, Bournemouth (admin) Southampton (admin) Pompey (admin) West Ham (almost admin) ?????
