DudeAbides Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Not my favourite but as long as he get us out of the $hit I'll be happy. We can at least expect our set pieces to improve, they've been woeful for years. Spot on...
deloreanwfn Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I'm happy with the appointment of BFS. Mr E, i don't know who you are, but you are surely not supporting BRFC.
Hughesy Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Im happy with Big Sam. Best possible manager we could have got in the circumstances. Would not suprise me if he goes after 1 or 2 of his ex-players.
spencey7 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I've got some soul-searching to do after this appointment. This might be the end of a lifetime's support of Blackburn Rovers.
modes98 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Would not suprise me if he goes after 1 or 2 of his ex-players. Kevin Nolan? Given a decent price he may be worth a go.
Manc Rover Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I've got some soul-searching to do after this appointment. This might be the end of a lifetime's support of Blackburn Rovers. Oh come on, who else were we gonna get?
gilstarwood Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 best chrimbo present we could have asked 4 we welcome u sam now come on rovers fans lets get behind the club starting from this saturday v stoke lets crank up the atmosphere
OscarRaven Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 BFS' Newcastle Private Training Session. I wondered how long it would be before that surfaced again!!!! ....and we know how touchy the Rovers players are about training methods (erm... allegedly). Dumb ass footballers what do they know, they will think its space age stuff.... give it em both barrells Sam and if they don't like it make them do a few laps followed by 200 press ups!
RibbleValleyRover Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I've got some soul-searching to do after this appointment. This might be the end of a lifetime's support of Blackburn Rovers. You'll get some flack but I can understand that, if we weren't in the @#/? in terms of the league i would probably have the same view.
sany Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Kevin Nolan? Given a decent price he may be worth a go. Kightly, Nolan and RB..Sell Reid, Moko, Andrews
thenodrog Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 BFS' Newcastle Private Training Session. You simply succumbed to an immature pack mentality like so many others gunner. Read Gouldings 'Lord of the Flies' for further explanation.
LeChuck Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Kevin Nolan? Given a decent price he may be worth a go. I think he might see Dunn as ideal for that role, I think we have far more important areas to fix than a forward-running midfielder. Ben-Haim was a good shout by someone, I think he could be top of the list if City (as we all expect) make signings in January. This probably isn't a name most of us will want to hear...but Nicky Hunt is out of favour with Bolton, he could be a specialist right-back available on the cheap.
walk down bolton road Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Personally not my favourate but now he is the manager lets support him 100%.Im sure the supporters will lets hope the trustees support him with money.
thenodrog Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Im happy with Big Sam. Best possible manager we could have got in the circumstances. Would not suprise me if he goes after 1 or 2 of his ex-players. Anelka'd be good. Seriously though whats Campo up to? Is he still in Ipswich's reserves? He'd prob be dirt cheap, has been a bloody great player and if he's doing nothing he and Tugay could do 45 mins each in that important deep midfield position.
Backroom Tom Posted December 17, 2008 Backroom Posted December 17, 2008 Time could be up for Matty Jansen.... Not necessarily didn't Sam have only good stuff to say about Jansen when he left Bolton?
thenodrog Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Not necessarily didn't Sam have only good stuff to say about Jansen when he left Bolton? Can we move on?
bubblerrovers Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 What is wrong with people!! I'm delighted to get Big Sam, some people need to realise we're SMALL fry in the football world, there are much bigger clubs in terms of support and history in the championship. Who did people want Jose Mourinio, Wake up. The fear and dread i get when rovers play now will hopefully go away and if Big Sam keeps us up i'll be his no.1 fan. COME ON ROVERS
BRFC1995 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Kightly, Nolan and RB..Sell Reid, Moko, Andrews thats priceless..........u should be comedian.....SELL reid andrews and mokoena....... you were either looking for a laugh or spelt CANCEL CONTRACTS AND BIN OFF as sell.
broadsword Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I don't care what the manager's name is, I don't care what type of football he will play, I don't care what clubs he's been at. As long as he keeps us up, I just don't care about anything else. championship=Oblivion.
DudeAbides Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Im certainly feeling a lot more positive now than when ince was appointed, Welcome Big Sam.
92er Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Kevin Nolan? Given a decent price he may be worth a go. I really hope not.
Parsonblue Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I just can't stand him. His tactics, his interviews, the clubs he has managed... As opposed to Paul Ince who was a tactical mastermind and did such stimulating interviews. Big Sam was the man for the job in the summer and thankfully he's finally arrived - six months too late perhaps. Anyone with the interests of the club at heart will get behind Big Sam - starting on Saturday. It's not going to be easy to get the club out of the mess that they are in but at least with Sam we have a chance of changing things around.
RevidgeBlue Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Delighted with this appointment, and for once the Board/Trustees seem to have acted really decisively in getting him in so quickly. Well done to them. I heard a story that the main stumbling block in summer was that Sam's backroom entourage was deemed to be to expensive. Perhaps we've decided to bite the bullet on that and hopefully the Trustees will finally have realised that some serious investment is needed in the squad as well.
