He's starting to really do my head in now. Banging on about the tax players have to pay is just insulting and I'm disgusted that he's even suggesting players pay too much - let's not forget Sam claims to be a supporter of the Labour party and a scocialist! I'm also sick of hearing about his Bolton, shut the fk up about Bolton, you played ugly football, you qualified for Europe so what? I'm just glad Hol is around to talk some sort of sense.

You aren't seeing the bigger picture koi. For one thing he is contracted to fill some column space on a regular basis about a subject connected to football, and for another the business of remuneration, transfer values and attracting players is quite an important issue this week for obvious reasons and a subject which will be a hot topic for supporters of virtually every club.

What he's saying is that the changes to the tax laws in this country on top of a weaker pound:euro is making it difficult and consequently more expensive to a. attract players to this country and b. keep players here when their contracts are up. For the same value of contract they get to 'take home' much more elsewhere.

The actual amounts that players are paid and his own political leanings are a complete irrelevence to the topic.

btw who's Hol?

would you pay money for a kitchen extension when an offer on a house was going through?

Doesn't compute. Don't bother with the extension---does the house fall down? --"no".

Leave the club without a creative mid-fielder and adequate strike force till January. Could we be in trouble by then?---"very possibly".

We might be alright of course, all I'm saying is that the analogy is a bad one.

Here's waggy...our little ray of sunshine on a Tuesday.

You are completely right wags...life is good, and far too short to waste on moaning and fretting!

Thanks for cheering me up! :tu:

The analogy is a good one.

Why pay for an extension on a house you don't own? If it ends up falling down...you either knock your bid down or take away your bid.

What you don't do is pay for someone else's kitchen extension.

Not too sure about conservatories, mind...or garden sheds...

You might not care about the home you sell but I thought the Walker Trust always had the best interests of the club at heart?
