What is wrong with people!! I'm delighted to get Big Sam, some people need to realise we're SMALL fry in the football world, there are much bigger clubs in terms of support and history in the championship. Who did people want Jose Mourinio, Wake up. The fear and dread i get when rovers play now will hopefully go away and if Big Sam keeps us up i'll be his no.1 fan. COME ON ROVERS

Absolutely spot on. We have better resources than Bolton had and looked we he did there. We also have a better squad to begin with than he had at Bolton.

The only way Blackburn Rovers will survive in this league is for teams to hate playing against us, to fear coming to Ewood and be ready to roll-over and die at the thought of takin a bruising.

If we're gonna be labelled 'dirty northern bas****' regardless, then we might aswell let em have it!

Rovers have sold their soul - in return for what? Prem football? Maybe...at what cost.

What soul is that then? Do you remember playing Arsenal at Cardiff? Did we sell our soul to Mark Hughes aswell?

It would be interesting to see how many people favoured the signing of Robbie Savage when he joined, and how many after he had left.

It won't be Allardyce.

I am as certain as I can be that he will not be appointed and I have switched from being pro to being against him in the past couple of weeks.

Hahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahaha.

So, now Ince is gone I'm sure you can enlighten us about these dressing room brawls and things you were telling us about to add to your "spot on" observations thus far.

A good appointment. I didn't think he'd come, but I'm glad we got our man. Big Sam can sort out the defence and I am optimistic we can survive.

I`ve always had a soft spot for Sam after hearing him on Radio lancashire many years ago after being sacked by Blackpool. The fans wanted a big name player and his reply was that he had a big name of 9 letters!

I`m glad he`s here as I was always jealous of his success at Bolton and I want a bit of it here. He is a professional, modern manager with fresh ideas and able to manage on a small budget.

I thought maybe for a few days we might get a unified message board but the knives seem to be out already! Give me strength!

I'll enjoy any kind of football that keeps us up! Sam faces a massive task and although I don't like him and was dead against him being appointed six months ago, I think he's one of only a couple of available managers who have the balls to give a real good go at keeping us up. Good luck to him and now he's the Rovers boss, as far as I'm concerned that makes him the man!

My words exactly.

I'm gonna save this thread for future reference and all the clowns in here will see for themselves what they were posting when we go down in a season or so.

I was laughed at at previous predictions all the way back to when we sold Duff, but so far everything bad I've predicted has come true. So when the time comes I'll have this thread ready. Not that it'll give me any satisfaction, but I'm tired of the same thing happening over and over again.

Er...you talk absolute rubbish.

Your most recent prediction was that there was no way Sam would join Rovers.

Made a day or two ago, if I recall rightly.

EVERY post you make is negative. I seriously think you have some sort of depressive illness, just out of interest did you predict any of the really good stuff that happened to us since we sold Duff? The consistent top 10 finishes, the European football, the cup semi-finals?

Thought not. Now get to f.

Could you explain how you would change things? It's easy to knock a club like the Rovers but how do we change things without major investment. Premiership status is surely the only way forward for the Rovers and if Sam can assist us to retain that then surely that's a major plus. As a Rovers fan don't you think it's vital that people get behind the club in these difficult times?

And the key is "...in a season or so". Gives you a nice, open-ended statement. Frankly, when you support any club other than perhaps Utd, any long series of negative predictions is going to have a reasonable chance of coming true at some point, if you make enough of them. Which you seem to do. But you're not alone - there's loads like that on here.

Do you walk round Blackburn precinct with a sandwich board proclaiming "The End Of The World Is Nigh"? Sorry but there's no reasoning with you - I've read posts by people trying. You'd moan if we did the league and cup double and didn't beat all of the big 4 in doing so. "It doesn't feel like a proper victory" I imagine you'd come out with. If you feel so strongly about Allardyce being in charge, please, please do not come to games. We need positivity now and everyone pulling in the same direction, not people constantly whinging.

That is me treating you seriously, the alternative is that you are simply a troll. I suppose it happens to students when the holidays come 'round.

More like Ralph since summer.

No piggy, definitely.

Anyway, judging by where Michael Laudrup my choice this summer has taken his team to, I don't think we would have been in need of a new manager now had he been appointed:

1. Rubin 30 18 6 6 18 60

2. CSKA Moscow 30 16 8 6 29 56 (Laudrup's new club- positive GD of 29)

3. Dynamo Moscow 30 15 9 6 12 54

4. Amkar 30 14 9 7 9 51

5. Zenit 30 12 12 6 22 48

Going from what I saw at Newcastle, terrible manager, Souness was better for us, as is Kinnear, and both are rubbish

Expect to play for a draw away at West Brom and lose. Also take a look at a video of his training methods: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=zmzp1Wt3tkU

Will a modern day player respond to that?

Yeh he's rubbish....................Check out his record and stats concerning managing a club in the premiership.

FFS, pro rata, he's been one of the best football managers the premiership has seen.

As for long ball, is that the same long ball the likes of Gerrard plays week in week out or the same long ball we used to get in to Shearer at the earliest oppurtunity?

Read again. In a previous post I said Allerdyce might keep us up, but he will leave at the first opportunity and we will be back where we started - going down, and relying on a miracle manager to save us. It's not gonna happen every time. As long as we keep appointing people who are not ready to give their all for the long-future stability of the club, we will keep gambling with short-term solutions, which sooner rather than later will bring us down.

This is nothing to do with pessimism, this is simply the reality of our situation. People do not want to face it, and that's why they are blaming Ince for everything.
