Backroom DE. Posted December 28, 2011 Backroom Share Posted December 28, 2011 Errr, no. Allardyce was only interested in playing hoofball and his sole transfer target was Kevin Davies.

Seggie
Anti allardyce propaganda!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You know as well as i do he was rubbish, fair enough he was getting points but it all got a bit boring, he only looks good because of his replacement, if we'd have had a real replacement you wouldnt be bumming fat sam Points Or 20th in the league, hmmmm I know what Id rather have. Yes the football wasn't great but with Rovers I want points and as much success as possible, I suffer with every kick with Rovers because its a passion even when we play good stuff, Rovers its about Winning. I watch other games for enjoyment and anyway if you want better football at Rovers you can hardly say the dross served up over the last 12 months better than that under Sam? Errr, no. Allardyce was only interested in playing hoofball and his sole transfer target was Kevin Davies. Wouldn't have been my cup of tea but would have at least had some logic behind it as he would have fitted with the squad at the time, Kean seems to like signing players who play in the same position. thenodrog
Errr, no. Allardyce was only interested in playing hoofball and his sole transfer target was Kevin Davies. Thats odd. I don't suppose you want to hear this but I seem to rem Raul and Guti were targetted until the cheque book was slammed shut in the summer just before he was sacked. Here I think this might be of use to you.... http://www.ultimatememory.com/?gclid=CI3wraPTpK0CFSEhtAodAlFenQ

Rover_Shaun
If only we had decent owners and a competent manager so any talk of Sam could be consigned to the brief footnote in history where it belongs.

Though the names of the individuals who immediately leapt to his defence like their children had been kidnapped were entirely predictable.
SIMON GARNERS 194
I'm sure Sam will be giving Teflon Steve and Venky's the two fingered salute as our respective clubs swap division come season's end....nobody here will deny you that satisfaction big fella. braddock
Apparently there is a 'debate' on him coming up on Talksport now. Ahhhhh, this is heaven.
thenodrog
What an odd person you are Braddock. Sounds like you are enjoying life with Kean under under the Slumdogs and successive desperate relegation battles. I can assure you I'm not. Have you some dingle blood in you? Moving on.... Game of the season Saturday in the Championship. WHU v Reading. Three good teams with just 2 promotion places to play for in that division and with Soton pulling clear recently the loser of this might easily end up in the dreaded play offs with the assorted nearly men 10 points back. We know from experience that is not nice and the 3rd team rarely wins through. It seems although they won 2-0 away at PBoro there were a section of WHU fans singing criticism of Allardyce. They are obviously instilled with the locally held belief that WHU are in fact Englands equivalent of Barcelona .... despite the club winning nowt important for ever. I wonder if even those goons would spend the last 5 mins booing their team playing keep ball in a 3-0 home victory? Then again no I don't, I think I know the ways of the numpty brigade well enough now. West Ham manager Sam Allardyce on fans' chants criticising their style of play: "The perception of some people is deluded as the facts about my teams clearly speak for themselves. It is a tag that has followed me around for a long time and one I'm never going to be able to shift. I can't do anything about that but I can win football matches. We have had to overcome home teams playing with a lot of energy in front of full houses throughout this season. We did it again here and once we got the goals, we out-passed and outplayed Peterborough. " So true but we all know that by gobbing off like that he will not endear himself to the 'crazies' will he? alexanders
This is a sure Reading bet. Unlike how it was at the Rovers; Sam have struggled at Home and won away.

SouthAussieRover
Wham fans singing ... We are west ham we play on the floor One could argue that chant is meaningless given they were relegated last season.
Mattyblue
Wham fans singing ... We are west ham we play on the floor Do they? They have played generally crap for the last 30 years. He's there to get them up, end of.

Anyone with two eyes, a brain and an IQ above 100 can see that this is true. Oh, include 'anyone without a personal vendetta against Big Sam' to that, too. How I wish for the Big Sam days again! Jimmy612
How I wish for the Big Sam days again! A club, packed to the core with people with only good intentions for the club. A well run, organised club with a very experienced manager doing a good job. As much as I would love the Big Sam days to return, I wouldn't half like to go back a little further and relive the Hughes era. Great times for our club. Andy
Absolutely. Though there genuinely are people who prefer how things are now - because Kean gets the team playing 'better football', which in itself is dispelled by the stats. A lot of us were of the belief of 'be careful what you wish for' when people were calling for Big Sam to be sacked and look where we are now... Jimmy612
Wham fans singing ... We are west ham we play on the floor Hahahahahaha they don't half cling to a bit of FA cup success do they! Backroom DE. Posted March 28, 2012 Backroom Share Posted March 28, 2012 Difficult to mock West Ham fans when some of our own made sport of chanting "4-4-2" and booing being 3-0 up.
John
West Ham fans were ripping into Big Sam early on in their match last night, and then they go on and comfortably win 2-0.
Steve Kean's Hypnotoad
Same old. He gets off to a flier and raises everyone's expectation levels, then some fans start using that against him. West Ham were an absolute mess and by no means certain of even making the play-offs before they appointed Sam. He makes 3-4 superb signings, fixes their suicidle defending of the previous season, and has them in the top 2 from the off. And of course their fans forget all this was never originally on the cards. All the good work prior to the present gets forgotten about, and the good football rubbish comes back along with the ridiculous expectation levels. Reminds me of some fans at another club actually...
