I guess thats you sorted gumboots. Your long held but completely illogical stance has just been put into perspective and subsequently blown away by our Fife Rover.

Enjoy. ;)

What an uplifting mood has descended on the board in the past 24 hours. Surprisingly from many of the pro PI brigade too. This is the euphoria and positivity that has been missing since June 21. I think the support for the last manager was fomented from blind hope rather than base logic. Lets all hope that the players respond accordingly and pray that we are not too late. All these comments in the media that 17 games was not enough might be viewed as 17 games being far too many come May. Enjoy the experience but rem that we are still very much in a fingers crossed situation.

excellent comments there it looks like every1s singing from the same hyme sheet walking down the bolton rd :brfcsmilie:

Good to see you in good health Fife.

Id also just like to say to the likes of Gumboots, abbey, waggy etc... please just give this guy a chance and get behind the lads. His conference was spot on and he has made a solid start in his first 24 hours.

Im excited - lets get behind the lads on saturday, its only Stoke! COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!!!!!

I don't no exactly why, but the way Ince spoke, I felt bad about being a Blackburn supporter from day 1, I was mentally at a all time low (football wise), I barely wanted to talk about football with my mates.

The way Sam spoke bought so much more believe that Blackburn is a good club, we are not a pile or s***, we are former PL champ's, 5-6 in Europe, league cup winners 2002, established 1875.

lots to be proud of, and smart manager will use the money we have wisely, we will be fine

Thats the sign of a leader.

Very impressive press conference and words from both Sam and the chairman. I know we're still second from the bottom and it'll be a long haul to the end of the season but the positive vibes can only help BRFC, players and fans, march right on to the end of the road (well, Sam is from Dudley!)!

Good stuff :rover:

Totally agree with the sentiments expressed by many on here. Sam's first press conference inspires absolute confidence we've got the right man, finally! A total opposite to the mood when Ince was appointed, which veered between 'Oh God no!' to 'Er, give him a chance he might be ok, fingers crossed, maybe'. I'm looking forward to the chance to welcome Sam to Ewood on Saturday. He's got his work cut out undoing the mess left by that clown Ince but with the fans & players behind him I'm sure he'll do it.

It sort of feels like the last 6 months was all a bad dream!

Well fair play to Gumboots as credit is due that they are able to look past their dislike and get down to Ewood. As oposed to spitting their dummy and going to play golf instead.

Which, if you weren't completely stupid, you'd note that Theno did as well. But hey, why let facts get in the way of a bitch?

Excellent press conference- Sam exudes quiet control and confidence and we have a Manager in charge after being bereft for six months.

Phil Brown's comments at Hull were excellent and completely to the point.

Over to the players and the backroom staff Sam is keeping on to reward the faith he is showing in them by producing the goods on the football field.

Great news from Fife on the health front and the trip down to Blackburn!

If any of you actually knew me you'd know I often get very wound up but am a very calm person once I've thrown the tantrum. I guess I've never got past the terrible 2s stage. If I were a multi billionaire I'd buy the club and get rid of allardyce as fast as I could. Make no mistake about it. I still totally dislike the guy and still will even if Rovers survive. I can't watch him on tv, haven't been able to for years and don't see that changing, but harmony in the home especially at Christmas is important. If the kids weren't coming home, I wouldn't be there.

Cannot get it to play so I don't know whether Megson's comments on Sam are good, bad or indifferent. (One of the submarine cables failed last night so we are on short rations for bandwidth at the moment).

megson said "big sams gone in there and he will raise the bar a little bit, in and around this part of the world, certainly in terms of media interest but from our point of view its nothing to do with us. everybody at the football club wishes sam all the best, apart from when we play them and i hope they can finish below us in the premiership"

Well, just back from 5 weeks in the UK.........guess i missed all the fun on here. I will have to ditch my Paul Ince screensaver and look for a complimentary picture of Sam. I'm gonna stop calling him BFS now he belongs to us. I genuinely did think that Ince had what it takes but.........I had to endure the Sunderland match at Ewood with my brother shouting "Ince out" in my ear!

I think Sam is the right choice for our situation and I wish him well. I am already looking forward to the next match. Wonder what the team will be?

Good luck with that!

I'm with you on the BFS thing. I doubt he'll like that if / when the BBE get it going. As someone has already pointed out on here - would you say it to his face? Mind you he's not as big as they make out - five foot seven without his heels on.

Just telling it like it is. Not after Brownie points or anything. I'll be at Rovers on saturday purely because my kids want me there.

I wouldn't listen to a word that man has to say. He says science has no place in football because he didn't need it when he was playing so why do they need it now. Hence why your going to take our place in the bottom three. You stupid ginger twasock.

I have had trouble with my internet recently and also have been too depressed by the situation to even build up the anger to post. ( or even to follow up what was being said )

What is there to say about Ince. He was a disaster. Just so pleased that he has gone.

I think Sam Allardyce is a great choice in the circumstances. It is amazing what the benefit of hindsight can do.

What did Ince say about going? I hope he appologised for what he had done to the club and gained a bit of dignity.

I haven't heard him say anything since the weekend? All his mates are sticking up for him though, telling everyone how badly we have treated him....

come on to say what it appears dozens of other have already said:

Sam made exactly the right noises at the press conference, he's made me massively more confident and I'm mad keen for tomorrow to roll on. I feel somewhat euphoric already just from that video and the reaction it has rightly got. This must undoubtedly impact on the lads as well. fantastic.

Tell your mates that he started it!

A warm welcome to Sam Allardyce : I hope he stays 5 years or more and is a resounding success. I'm sure he will be.

A note of caution however. We are in a perilous position and the odds on us surviving are not good. Allardyce has one hell of a task to turn our season around.

A tall order, but 6 points from the 3 xmas games is the bear minimum return we need. If we can achieve that, then we go into the new year back in the pack and then we've every chance of climbing the table.
