I don't care about Harry Redknapp, I care about Blackburn Rovers. The players are paid to represent Blackburn Rovers, not only represent them in League games, they have only played TWO league games in the last month. It's hardly going to derail our season.

You missed my point, it being that if other Premiership managers do it then you can't say he's 'obviously' doing something wrong, it's your opinion, and seemingly a minority one at that.

Edit: The point is the risk of them getting injured by the way, not the extra few games they would have to play. Also, they're paid to play when selected, and the manager is paid to decide who to select.

Also, can you explain why he hasn't made a right winger his number one priority?

I'll answer at at the end of the window, we don't know whether he's after one or not right now. The Roque situation probably has to sort itself out first because then we'll be in a better position to know how much we have to spend.

I can't believe everybody falls for it. No wonder FA Cup attendances are down, if every team players their bloody reserves. I don't understand how it has come to this.

Any team from 8th downwards has to worry about relegation. Are we to assume non of them are going to take the cup seriously? Have we reached a point where OUR only aim is to not get relegated. No chance of winning the league and no chance of winning any cups. Very sad indeed. Doesn't really make me want to run up to Sunderland with my hard earned money.

Especially seeing as this was described as Ince's gravest mistake.

We all care about Blackburn Rovers but will you stick to your guns if RSC, Benni, Dunn, Grella etc, (key players for us til May) get injured?

It has come to this because relegation will cost us an inital £40 million and the effects of that will cripple us and threaten our existance.... but then again it is the mighty Sudnerland away

Finally Ill wait til the window closes before we start on the "right winger" situation, ultimatley Ince was the person who sold the one that we had, Id rather wait til the summer than waste millions now, Dunn and Emerton can "do a job" there for the time being.

And there again we are not rising like a bubble of air from the depths of the oceans. :D

it may well be Waggy that we have at last got a manager who knows what the hell he is actually doing.

Come on down waggy lad and see for yourself.

We score goals, pass to each other and keep clean sheets.

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Big Sam's doing a fine job but strange how he has:

Signed a player from a League 2 Club Ince was looking at

and

Not signed a right winger

i.e. exactly the same as Ince but there's not been a murmur of protest!

People wanted our former manager burning at the stake for signing Andrews and not replacing Bentley!

I think the right person is not available at the moment. I'd trust BFS on signing players a lot more than Ince. I know what you mean RB, but in 4 or 5 games BFS has done much more with the same players Ince had than Ince did in 6 months. We have shape, tactics, confidence and we remember how to defend.

Slight differences here, important ones too, first, the division 2 lad is one for the future, not to slot into a top 10 premiership side!!!

Secondly, we are dealing with an experienced manager who from the onset has shown he is up to the job.

And finally, management is putting the right people around you, Ince didnt and Sam got rid of them.

If Ince had got results, he would have been fine, but he had no tactical nous at all.

There is a slight difference in the price tag for your first point and we have to remember that Ince had already spent more money than I thought he would get. The players that he signed were not bad but it did put a bit of financial strain on Big Sam's budget, if he has any left at all. A right winger is still needed but as we spent money already I have a horrible suspicion that we have to sell Santa Cruz before we see any amount of money over 6 million. Even the six million is in doubt as that is supposedly money from the Cruz deal (if it happens) also.

Not to mention Ince got how many points in how many games? Big Sam has already almost got the same amount of points that Ince did in the entire time he was here.

Good point Rev. Then again I actually believe this fella knows what the hell he is doing. Ince never gave that impression. I also still think that's he's waiting for the RSC situation to sort itself out, the sooner the better obviously. We clearly don't have many pennies to play with otherwise. Until then, in Bert Mk II we trust. He's doing a fairly good job actually. As are the rest of them.

As for the reserve team player we signed from Macc. Erm... he's a reserve team player, at the moment.

I am more impressed with the 16 year old we signed via Cambridge academy!!

I do hope this is a sign that our youth development will prosper!!

despite my spat with Majiball, he is a good un and I can tell you both he and I believe we can as a club move forward with a good youth policy!!

But I think it needs reviewing, we need someone like Rob Kelly back, ghe was excellent!

You have well and truly painted yourself into a corner now as I said you would waggy. You have left yourself wide open to p1ss takes all round whatever you do. It could be another 2-3 years or so before Allardyce goes and you can come out blinking in the sunlight and set off for Ewood again. Unless you are simply growing out of supporting BRFC?

Oh this will be much more fun that nicko's 'guess the transfer target' games.

Ok, first guess: are you Mark Robinson?

LOL,

No, I'm pretty good at biomechanics though.

You do realise though that even if I was Mark I would say no.

Anyways I've removed the giant stick from my arse and me and Kelbo have had a good chat and sorted it all.

PS what makes you think I'm a man?

Everyone to their own Waggles but you cant help but hate pointless and unhelpful posts like this from one of our own so-called 'supporters' especially in the clubs present dodgy position.

Give yourself a pat on the back of the head big man.

Waggy, I can understand why you may not like BFS, his style of football etc. but by abandoning your club at this time is a bit strong. He is a proven manager who can, and will get us out of a hole that Mr. Paul Ince so enthusiastically dug us into. We are not in the position to say 'we don't want Mr. X because his football is ugly, Mr. Y because he used to play and manage a local rival or Mr. Z because the BBCsaid something about something.' We need winning football, however it comes right now, and BFS has been doing this.

I don't suppose you could give me the money you would have spent so I can see a few games ?

unbeaten up to now under Sam, a great appointment and he has given us every chance of staying in the premiership. Last night under Ince we would of lost that match no doubt about it. The comeback showed great togetherness amongst the squad and with that in our team now, hopefully we will be seeing premership football at Ewood again next season.

Gaz you say that but remember under Ince, we came back from behind to beat Everton (last minute), drew at West Brom (last minute), came from 2 behind to get back to 2-2 at Pompey(lost though!), equalised against Boro (last minute) , so may not be new this team spirit thing.

In the last week I have to say I have quite enjoyed BS jostling with City. His latest comments, time is up for City, only puts more pressure on MH.

A couple of weeks ago he was asked about the pressure MH was putting on him, I think his reply was, he couldn't or he does not know how to.

What ever our fans think about Sam, I can't see many getting one over on him.

As a figure head for the club I'm impressed, now turn the draws into wins and where on our way.

Sam amd Sbragia have a chat.

It suddenly struck me that Ferguson and Sam are at 2-2 in the progeny as Premier League Managers stakes now.

Sam- Sbragia and Brown

Ferguson- Bruce and Hughes

The difference being that Sam's two were backroom boys in Sam's management team whilst Ferguson's two were players. In fact none of Ferguson's erstwhile Managerial backroom boys have made a go of it anywhere else.

Well...McClaren did win a domestic trophy, get to a UEFA Cup final, manage England (in a way), and now is at a Champion's League club...so he's not done too badly. Kidd was a disaster though, I can't think of any others who have tried and failed.
