It's the team suit, all the players are required to wear it to and from Ewood on matchdays. I prefer the manger to wear his own suit to be honest.

Watching MoTD2 and I'd suggest Sam will be in line for a fairly hefty dry cleaning bill by May.

If as now seems likely, Sam not only keeps us up but also secures a fairly decent league position and grabs a few more £750Ks place prize money, nobody could possibly argue that Sam has done anything but a truly remarkable job and pulled off a major achievement.

What is the compensation system for teams in the Premier League?

smoss, half the money is divided equally, a quarter is divided according to number of televised appearances but every club is deemed to get a minimum of 11 live games even if they don't and a quarter is given out as prize place money.

The out turn is the bottom club gets about £30m and the top team about £50m.

Place prize money increases by £750k per place and TV coverage very approximately increases that to £1m per place.

The city clubs get more TV coverage as do clubs which are doing well. So I think Rovers are probably going to do quite badly on the televised games fees- our end of season games look promising from the standpoint of getting points but I doubt any game other than Liverpool and Chelsea are getting live coverage- in fact even those might be missed.

PS glad my post about Sam's achievement has been so well received.

He's doing good, but we all know what's gonna happen if he does too good. So it's best that...well, I don't know.

Hopefully he's feeling "once bitten twice shy" about that prospect.

We'll replace him with Owen Coyle!

Anyway, I doubt he'd go to a massive club like Newcastle (sic), as it is not worth the effort of moving unless they are one of the big 4. Villa nearly got there, but have faded away, and the likes of Everton Citeh etc. will never break into the top 4 for a variety of reasons.

Sam was on Jeremy Kyle's talksport show yesterday afternoon and he said "I think I could manage any club in the world." A bit tongue in cheek maybe, but lets hope he's not going back to his old ways and starts touting himself for bigger jobs. He also added that given the right backing, he would get success anywhere....Where have we heard that before?

He also kept referring Rovers as "them" and not "us" which was odd, seeng as he's our manager. Finally, Kyle asked him why people should support Blackburn Rovers. Sam replied "because we try and play football in the right way." Hmm, not sure about that one Sam!

BFS? Talksport? Jeremy Kyle? Never expected to see those words together! Did Jeremy Kyle slag him off for being unemployed for a year, or put him through a lie detector test?

I also wonder if BFS was in a tracksuit and baseball cap, and wore sovereign rings.

Yeah not exactly a serious football debating platform is it!

He kept saying 'Bolt err Blackburn' last Thursday night to.

I'll tell you this much, he is still ambitious and if he does well here he will be off like a shot. His ego will want a big job and ultimately the National job ... imo. In nfact I'm sure that he'd still be at Newcastle and doing a good job now but for Shepherd getting ousted soon after his appointment. With fat beer swilling man of the people Ashley around the sword of Damocles was always going to be over Sams head.

I noticed he kept nearly saying Bolton as well, and same as Manc Rover says he did refer to us as them and not us a number of times.

That might be our epitaph Aggy.

Ah... so you do understand the frustrations of Tris then Theno

Considering you where on full warp against Ince its a bit kettle black scenario you having a go at somebody questioning Sam and his methods.

Don't think anybody wants to see us go down , however worrying factors suggest what was on on offer against Spuds could become more of the norm next season if we stay up if Sam continues with this stat /prozone intimation like nothing else matters. .

His comments re the percentage of goals from corners is exactly the point I was getting at with regard to too much reliance being placed on them rather than the issue at hand in what we actually do with the ball (and the one re Derbyshire only scoring goals - something we struggle with at the moment)

We are in serious need of a lot of player change for next season - at least 6 imo for the 1st team alone. As for the players injured - Reid is a write off and there has to be questions whether the injury to Emerton will affect his speed and if it has his effectiveness as a Premiership player.

Yes it may be by any which way for this season, but there has to be serious consideration for next if we still wish to remain competitve to a degree.

Personally, I don't care as long as he doesn't throw any matches against Bolton and does his best for Rovers. He may well go in a few years time, but then we will have to appoint someone just as good. Hopefully we'll do better than last summer!

Oh and what ddid the DNA test say? Was he the father? And if so, will he pay for the kid and see it?

Nope not at all Capt. As usual time has proven me right and the others who criticised my stance between Mid June and Dec wrong. To date 0.76 points per match for Ince and exactly double that at 1.5 points per match for SA is graphic testament to my judgement.

We are not safe by a long chalk but at least now the issue is in our own hands......... or more accurately those of the medical staff.:(

No doubt about your judgement Theno as I have openly admitted eating humble pie on here but to question somebody else for what in itself mirrors your comments re Ince is a little hypocritical.

Its been a bad season... think what some are trying to point out is that they don't want next season to be on par or even worse and that we just need to win those home games as I have mentioned before - still don't like the way Sam is playing and still feel he his playing dangerous game though.

Fortunately for Rovers now this season (but its not over until the fat lady tunes in) - it would appear Boro seemed to have given up the ghost and Ashley Utd appear to be running out of time and games.

Rovers where lucky on Saturday , lets hope its stays that way until the end of the season.

Not particulary me Capt.... it's the facts that stand against criticism. What cannot speak cannot lie. See the 3rd sentence of my last post.

Ince did it out of choice Waggy, Allardyce is doing it out of necessity. Would you prefer us to still have Derbs or Diouf and Givet?

At the end of the day results speak for themselves. Allaydyce might not be a genius, but he is certainly making Ince look like a fool.

Ince lost the games with players in the wrong position - Allardyce didnt - Thats the difference. Also like someone already said Sam had no choice.
