RoverRich Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Anyway, decent team, Tugay is in as he should be, the main thing again is the lack of options on the bench. Looks like he hasn't learnt from last week. 3/4 strikers?! Yeah and what's the betting that we see Derbs come on and shoved on the wing or Villanueva played out of position.

T4E Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 ADB: Thats the one. Why even say that, no one had mentioned Ince/Hughes or anyone else. Another stupid, desperate Paulette post.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 As I said, it'll be a matter of time. I'm not pro-Ince, I'm just pro-Rovers. Either way, don't reply here, we're taking this off topic. COYB.
AndyC Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Yeah and what's the betting that we see Derbs come on and shoved on the wing or Villanueva played out of position. he has simpson on the bench. he also has emerton who can move to right back if needed. So that's 2 options in defence. He has the axe and carlos for midfield, and yes - derbs has played out wide, so that's 3 options in midfield. He has roberts, fowler, derbs and carlos who can play up front, so he has 4 options up front. Can someone explain to me, how he hasn't got options with this squad?? Up the rovers!
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 There's a small topic about that in Ask Admin Eddie. It seems not. After it has been renewed it'll probably be a few days before it's back.
T4E Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Off topic? Like the post you made in the FA Cup thread, then? The irony keeps coming. Yeah and what's the betting that we see Derbs come on and shoved on the wing or Villanueva played out of position. Every chance, considering that would only happen if we're losing at some point, and that's pretty likely in itself. Hopefully we can get to HT 0-0 and we'll be able to make a positive move and go for the win.
RevidgeBlue Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Looks like he hasn't learnt from last week. 3/4 strikers?! For heavens sake. Given the players we have fit and available, what other options do we have?

Fair point, the problem being is that it will involve people playing out of position and where they are weaker but I suppose we do have options. You missed one out by the way - Mokoena can play centre back.....but only if we are desperate!
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Off topic? Like the post you made in the FA Cup thread, then? The irony keeps coming. It was about Bournemouth? As I said though, talk about it elsewhere.
T4E Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 It was about Bournemouth? As I said though, talk about it elsewhere. Practise what you preach and I'll play along! For heavens sake. Given the players we have fit and available, what other options do we have? You play 4 men in defence, 4 in midfield, and 2 up front. Yet we've only one defender on the bench, 1 midfielder (an awful one) and 4 forwards. Where are Judge and Treacy? Is Zurab still ill? I genuinely don't know, but I do not for one second believe that we've only 18 fit players, and I don't think you do either. EDIT: Thanks Jan - and bloody Vogel too!!!
Jan Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 For heavens sake. Given the players we have fit and available, what other options do we have? Vogel?
jonv Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 UP the rovers... get behind them and lets get the 3 points CARN
RibbleValleyRover Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I would have liked to see someone like Howarth or Judge on the bench today. Proper out wide players we could have brought on and given them much needed experience. For those that have access to Radio Lancs its on 103.9 FM.
67splitscreen Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 truth is painful ADB aint it ? So is not getting the midfield selection your way, IMO. but you may have the last laugh.

1864roverite Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Rovers v Pompy is NOT being streamed on internet
RibbleValleyRover Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Should have been 1-0 to Pompey, got lucky with a great Robbo save.
andrew92 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 so nelson who was banging on about mistakes, goes and makes one himself and they should have scored!
dopper69 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Thats Nelsen for you. Far too error prone to start banging on about his team mates mistakes.
T4E Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Can no one find a chatroom that the regulars can go to?
philipl Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Close to Crouch og- onto post from Bert's corner
