The Harwood Yankee Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 If Rovers sack Ince and we don't have a new manager in place immediately, and given we're in the middle of a season, who would pick the team? Hughes got rid of everyone's favourite caretaker manager, Tony Parkes. Would we bring back Parkes for a brief cameo? Or maybe Tugay as player manager? Or Matt Jansen?! Just a thought...

Billy Castell Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Oh crap. Parkes is sure to lose many games and not turn anything around. Is this how desperate we are now? How about Howard Kendall King Kenny, or Mr. McKay?

T4E Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 A caretaker manager might not be the worst idea - if we could get someone who could take us to finish 17th, write this season off then go all out to make a big appointment in the Summer, that would probably be the best all round.
adopted scouser Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 then go all out to make a big appointment in the Summer Who the hell's gonna come to us ?
T4E Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 I've no idea - I'm just working on the likelihood that we'll be a slightly more attractive propostion then with our PL status in tact than we are right now.

The only thing that leads me to think that's not the best course of action is that right we should have £10 million (ish) to spend in January, and we're probably going to need to spend a fair chunk of that on the problems we have. Personally I think we'd be a more attractive proposition being 19th but with cash to spend than we would in the summer if we've survived but are potless.
modes98 Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Come on guys Ince hasn't left yet, discuss this if/when he does please.
