According to nicko it's not Sam with the problem - he'd want to come - but it's our board who have issues with appointing him.

Our board have a hell of alot of issues at the moment!

There losing my respect more by the day!The club are in the mire and changes are needed now!

In-we don't like that word, please don't use it-deed

 It took me like 5 minutes to make sense of this!

Then realised it'd been censored HAHA!

I actually tried to replace some essential letters with *, but our good old board wanted to make absolute sure that no one was offended.

Just checked on Souey's first 21 games at Newcastle to lift some boredom.

The record was - 6 wins, 8 draws and 7 defeats. That's 26 points from 21 games.

Put that on top of your total and you reach 39.

Didn't Souness inherit a side from Sir Bobby that had finished 5th the previous season?

Those stats aren't that good viewed in that context.

1)BFS

2)Curbishley

3)Souness

That would be my order of preference!

One point that's bein overlooked is who would be best able to bring us back? Honestly, even with more than half a season to go we look down and out and might be beyond reprieve. I think BFS has won promotion with Bolton three times hasn't he? And of course Souness has done it once. That's a significant factor for me.

I'm starting to feel he'll be here at the weekend. The longer the people in charge go without reacting, you'd think their blood would have been boiling saturday evening and they'd get the cancer out then. But they are probably doing some unrealistic short term math in the following days and crossing their fingers for the stoke game.

They should be working out what relegation costs us and then figuring out how big a win bonus they can give every player to try and get some effort out of them. Or more importantly how big a financial incentive they can give to a top manager to keep us up.

Some of tomorrow's papers suggesting Ince will get a chance to plead for one more game in charge. Looks like between Sam and Souey to replace him.

Graeme Souness favourite to replace under pressure Blackburn boss Paul Ince

Williams, who has so far fought Ince's corner against those on a Blackburn board who would have sacked him sooner, may feel that Sam Allardyce can have an immediate galvanising effect for Saturday's home match against Stoke City and the visit to Sunderland on Boxing Day.

Gets me angry reading this: Ince would not have lasted this long were Jack Walker alive and his persistent talk about the need for more players does not help his cause. Ince effectively declared that he was powerless to change the course of the game after his side went 2-0 down inside 12 minutes

He has had enough chances, some mentioned 4 games to prove himself, some then said Liverpool was last chance, now last chance was wigan. Enough is enough he has to go NOW!!

According to one of the articles the board spent 90 mins together on saturday night so hopefully they have all agreed that his time is up.

I know in the grand scheme of things, my say will never be heard by the Rovers board. But this has been my timeline of this season.

July 18, the unthinkable happens. Mr Reliable (Friedel) is allowed to depart for Aston Villa. Still can't help but wonder if more couldnt have been done to keep him at Rovers. We venture into the unknown with Robinson on board...

July 31, we sell David Bentley, sure we were all expecting it, but what we werent expecting for was Ince to not replace him, and even worse, spend some of the money on players who couldnt bring us forward...

August 2, We loose to Wolverhampton Wanderers conceeding 4 goals, the manner of the performance was the first sign of concern in my head. But i put the result down to the good old fasioned excuse... Pre-season game, and couldnt be taken seriously...

August 23, A very lacluster performance against high flying Hull City, resulting in a draw. Put it down to pre-match jitters and Hull's good start to the season. Fair doo's...

August 26, we spend 5 million on a 29 year old central midfielder. Someone who has never been tested at Premier League level, and has a history of injuries. I personally thought this was a completely barking signing, but was willing to give him a chance. Oh how glad am i that we did?! Ah well, at least we wont sign another ageing footballer who isn't going to add any attacking presense to the team...

August 28, Ince raises some more eyebrows by doing a favour for playing buddy Keith Andrews. 1.3 million is spent... Granted he has had one or two good games. Their is no way he should be in our first team!

August 30, 4-1 defeat to West Ham. First genuine concern for me, a very relaxed performance against a team we have always struggled against away. Ince's tactics and player management baffled me... But still, put it down to his lack of Premier League experience...

September 10, the whole of the footballing world (and just about every Rovers fan) is shocked when Ince hands old friend Robbie Fowler a 3 month deal. Surely he wont play that much?! Nope, he makes 6 appearences in very important matches. Granted, he makes a very good assist vs Grimsby... Still though, their should be players ahead of him in the selection process. Benni and Roberts are overlooked for some time...

September 13, vs Arsenal. One of the most laid back and insanely poor performances i have ever seen in a Rovers team. 4 nil defeat at home. Absolutely sickening!

September 20 to 27, 3 unremarkable wins against a team who struggle away, a team struggling with injuries who are forced to play acadamy players and a hard-thought victory against a team without a manager. Somewhat made me forget about the awful Arsenal game...

Thus follows a rocky month with 2 draws and 2 defeats, including dropping 2 more goals at home to United...

November 1, a fairly poor performance against a very average West Brom team, let in 2 soft goals, panic bells really start to chime!

November 9, dropping 2 goals vs Chelsea i can forgive, what i cant forgive is the fact it is probably the easiest 3 points they have ever won... Not good, not good at all...

November 12, finally! A win in which we did well in. Playing a very understrength Sunderland team, we did very well in the second half, but for what i consider is a lack of concentration or organisation, we conceed another soft goal, and put us under silly presure...

November 15, Sunderland beat us 1-2 at home, bearing in mind this is a Sunderland team who have struggled and were on the verge of parting company with their unhappy manager. This performance was when i came to the conclusion that Ince was the wrong man for the job.

November 23, 0-1 defeat to Spurs, put up a good fight, but my goodness, we look outclassed and out-tacticed (is their such a word?)

November 30, another horrically laid back performance, they score one, i think we will fight back, but we dont, we have absolutely no answer whatsoever! They score again. Then the players and manager seem to suddenly realise they are playing football! We get back, and show a little of the form that had us finished 7th last year. We get back to 2-2 after the addition of a attacking player in Derbs. He seems hungry, but is seriously let down by the lack of a attacking presence behind him. Ince in his devine wisdom decides that the addition of a attacking midfielder should be left till 3 minutes before the game ends...? Baffling... 3 more goals conceeded!

December 3, all the excitement of a League Cup game mounts. Fergy puts out a team made up of 10 players from the reserves/bench vs near enough our first team. We might be able to get a result here! We conceed 5 goals over the match, Manchester United sit back, and we peg them back a bit. They wake up again through not much effort. Tevez, a player who has struggled to stay in the starting 11 bags a hatrick! Not good enough...

December 6, another myserable performance leads to us shipping another 3 goals at home. Ince takes a defeat as a good performance, hey! If we play like that against other teams, we wont be relegated?! No we wont, but we certainly wont get anyway!

On this day, i finally loose my patience, and give up on our managers ramblings, and our other players excuses, and terminate my subscription to RoversWorld... I am more then willing to sign up for it again. But not until our useless manager is replaced...

December 13, Wigan Athletic away. Paul Ince and the players come out and say how important a game it is. 21/22 games left of the season. John Williams declares that 9 games need to be won in the last games of the season. The team lies down, and allows Wigan to steamrole us. BOOM! Another 3 goals conceeded, could have been 4 or 5...

All we can do now, is prey that the little yellow banner comes up on SkySports News, to reveal that we have been spared anymore of Ince's hellish tactics and someone who knows what they are doing will come in and put us out of our mysery...

Agonising feeling keeps popping up, tells me he is going to be given til January anyway, regardless of results. We hear Mr Williams, has set the target of 9 victories in 22 games... Oh no... 9 victories in 21 games. Give it another week, and it will be 9 wins in 20 games... Were bottom of the table. Only 2 points off Sunderland, oh no... Make that 5 points off Sunderland...

The clock is ticking! It's all down to you! :glare:

Ince can't even save himself in the interviews.

"Well, it's not good...we fee sad...but we need to keep believing!"

Believing in what, Ince? That magically out of nowhere we're gonna start looking like a football team? If you are so helpless and clueless as to what to do - leave.

and even if we do have extreme luck and beat Stoke - it'll be just that, luck. It'll give Ince another 3-4 games time to pick up hardly any points, and we'll be left with no chance for survival even before Christmas.

The town of Burnley have already started work on a new statue of Paul Ince ready for May 2009.

"He's going to be an absolute hero in our eyes and it is only fitting that we prepare for that day - such a monumental day when two ships pass each other by, each going in its separate ways." said a spokesman for Burnley FC who are funding the statue.

"We never thought we'd see this day so Mr Ince, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts."

A separate statue of John Williams who stood by Paul Ince as the ship sank is also commissioned but it is felt that Paul Ince's single handed contributions were more worthy of commemoration than Mr Williams's.

You know that is actually the worst thing out of all this mess, if they are promoted and we go down, FFS it would eb liek someone kciked me in the nuts , turned walked away and got a run up to lay the boot in again

This morning's lancashire telegraph reports that Ince will be hauled infront of the board to explain the performance.

More telling are Williams comments he is "very concerned" and this is the killer for me he felt "for the first time there was something missing".

Gut feeling from the above comments is that he is sacked but why give him the chance to explain himself? The more dithering and wasting of time, should just take decisive action.

I can see them putting off the inevitable until after the Stoke game.

Poo poor poor. Explanation? What explanation would suffice exactly?

Ince cant believe the amount of reprieves he is getting for the past 1 month.

Shouldve been sacked around the Sunderland - Pompey matches at the latest, but after the United game, it really shouldve been a foregone conclusion.

Only way I can see Ince saving himself is if he says give me one more match, if we lose, Ill resign...But would he risk a huge windfall?

I really cannot believe this. What will winning at home to Stoke prove? God forbid we dont, we are screwed. But even if we do, we are back to square one the next week. If they are basing a win at home to a promoted team as the basis for a long-term recovery from an 11 match winless streak then they are crazy! :(

Im looking at the table and if we get rid now, we have a great chance of staying up cause the mid-table is so squeezed into each other...
