How in the sh*t are we???? Boxed into a corner, no decent replacement, no money, players at the departure lounge and the vultures circling...

If he gets a win he stays (Maybe?) but will it be the manner of the performance rather than the scoreline?

JW must know something we don't, as this is one MASSIVE gamble..!!!!

Let me start off by saying that I'm dissapointed with Ince. I expected more. he has shown himself to be woefully out of his depth with no tactical ability and a penchant for playing strikers on the wing and left backs in midfield. Paul Ince has not yet received his coaching badges and they are there for a reason. I think that has been made abundantly clear.

I think he is only on session three - jumpers for goal posts and not session five which teaches that a left back is better playing leftback and a striker is better playing up front so we cant really blame him can we

Crikey! What happens if we win? We aren't going to get rid after a string of losses so there's no chance if we manage to scrape some sort of result out of Stoke on Sat. I guess the players will have to puy renewed vigour into their not inconsiderable efforts to date to get him out.

As for John Williams will somebody let him know that lightning does not strike twice and that Joe Kinnear has been given until the end of the season at Newcastle.

Freedom of the town and arise Sir Paul.

Board must be completely devoid of ideas now as Souness was approached - maybe he gave them a no. If Ince gets a win or two in the next five games sacking him will be almost impossible with the support he's generated after this run.

I had a boss like this - whatever he did he carried on - and some were odd. Locked an office girl in a room once when she wouldn't work extra hours to keep her in the building-and still carried on. Known as the Teflon Man. Doubt if we'd be allowed to use that with Ince but he's getting more fireproof by the day.

if the problem is we have noone in place to take charge of the team come Saturday as we dont have a new man with a new backroom staff too imediately come in - lets just put the T Lady in charge instaed of Ince , Winterburn , Matthais and Knpox as I'm pretty sure even she would ask the players to play in there correct positions but them 4 clowns can't !

INCE OUT NOW - save our club JW before its too late as the clock is ticking 5 points and a inferior goal difference away from safety , not won since a warm sunny September day in Newcastle its now Xmas wake up and smell the coffee change is needed ASAP

I CANNOT BELIEVE HE HASNT BEEN SACKED YET!!!

I will be gutted if he stays for the stoke game, he has shown he hasnt got what it takes, he said we would get the performance from the 'eye of the tiger' but we saw jack. He has to go before it gets any worse.

Hopefully the board and JW saw sense this weekend and Ince will go today. IF not then I will be gutted and wont look forward to saturday. I will also sing anti-ince songs for the entire game, regardless of the outcome or score. Its like we are being told to forget the past and give him a chance all the time. Why should we?? Did Tottenham give Ramos time even though he had won a cup?

I get a horrible feeling he will get the saturday game, we win and then that gets him a reprieve but we then go on and lose the next 3. WE HAVE TO get rid this week, we cannot accept this poor leadership he has brought to the club.

First I was angry, now I'm just sickened.

The Chairman after getting so much right has bottled it. This will cost us hundreds if not thousands of fans, I'm ready for sending my season ticket back now, I certainly won't renew next season. This is beyond the incompetent this is the deliberate destruction of the club by its management.

I don't blame Ince anymore he is just incompetent. The Chairman however is a coward.

By effectively abusing the loyalty of the fans by asking them to support this loathsome ‘chancer’ Paul Ince while he destroys one the club we love not to mention one of the oldest in the world, he is shirking and hiding from his clear responsibility a yet still taking the salary.

This was for me the last chance to turn it around... the three points we lose to Stoke will mean its already be too late. In the event we do overcome the mighty Stoke at home, the situation would be in effect 10x worse (remember one swallow does not make a summer) we would still have Ince and absolutely no chance of survival because of it.

Make no bones about it this club is in serious trouble

• 80-90% turnover is wages

• Weak and conflicted leadership at the top

• 5 points adrift of safety and collecting points at a slower rate than Derby County

• Owners who don't want the club and care very little for it

• Manager who appeared out of his depth on day 1

• Manager who won’t walk away because of the money

• Owners who won’t pay to get rid of the manager

• Ostriches and yes men for directors

• Players who are no longer are playing for the club

• Less than a 50% chance of survival two weeks before Christmas with those odds decaying exponentially with every game

• No backroom structure at the club

• Potentially all new playing staff and rebuilding required in the summer

I just don't see why we can't go in for Sam. Nicko says he'd be interested and if you look at his quotes all he says is that there hasn't been any contact. It's pretty obvious that he'd prefer the Sunderland job but all the noises coming out of the Stadium of Light suggest they'd rather go in for a bigger name than him. I'm pretty sure he knows this too - if Sunderland wanted him they'd have picked up on his statements by now. But apparently some of our board have problems with appointing him which is completely ridiculous.

JW is an idiot and doesn't know what he's doing. The man was an idiot for wanting Shearer as first choice in the summer, was an idiot for appointing Ince over more seasoned candidates, was an idiot for botching the business with the phone calls to Sunderland and now is an idiot for not sacking Ince weeks ago. It appears we gave our chairman too much credit in the past when all he was doing was riding the waves of an excellent manager in Hughes.

David Craig on SSN, who has good football contacts in the north of England [supposedly], saying Ince is on his way to Ewood at this very moment, where he will be sacked.

Please let it be true!!! Stand up JW and be a man, kick the muppet show out of town. That is more like it!!! It will make my day and probably save our club. Pleasssssssse be true.

i was willing to give him even a 1% chance if we lost against Wigan 1-0 after dominating the game.

But, no, it was as convincing a defeat as you will ever have against a mediocre team. I cant fathom why we willing to lose 3 points against Stoke by sticking to Ince. Is it because he said he will walk if we lose to Stoke, thereby saving us a million ?
