I just saw it on the website myself. The board had to act now, before it's too late for us. I wish Paul Ince the best of luck in the future and think that he could be a good manager in the Premiership in time. But we cannot afford to be the team where he learns his trade at this level.

I just hope the board started sounding out replacements a while back so that we can have a swift appointment, giving the new man a chance to assess the squad and any potential new signings before the window closes.

I feel sorry for Ince but, after the Wigan debacle, it had to happen.

I would just like to express my thanks to Ince for putting his efforts into the club. Whatever you may say about his competence or otherwise, I don't think you can deny that he really wanted to succeed at Rovers and seemed to put his body and soul into trying to get us winning games.

It didn't work out but I hope his managerial career goes from strength to strength after this blip.
