Whatever the outcome of the season, wouldn't it be nice if Brownie invited Paul Ince to the Horderns for one of those Q&A sessions?? Just think what fun we could all have with Paul Ince for a few hours.............

No good him doing an Ewood one like SA last week Jan.... the questions had to be all written down!

I don't think Paul would be man enough to face up to that. I wouldn't if I was as crap as he turned out to be, And to think I was reasonably optimistic.............

Anyway, I do wonder where he'll pop up next. If he had a any sense, he'd go to a 2nd division club with a different coaching team and rebuild his reputation slowly. Someone in the position of Scunthorpe or Oldham. I doubt any ambitious 1st division sides would risk him after making such a hash of us, not to mention the media's mauling of the club should they sack him.

However, I doubt his ego will allow this long term plan, ansd he'll keep applying for Premiership/1st division jobs until he ends up at some basket case club like Newcastle whose fans will be demanding instant success yesterday.

QPR fans on suicicde watch!

I'll say what I said before. He'd make a good Championship manager. He did well with MK Dons, however, the step up to the PL was too much for him. A few seasons with a Championship side will conjure up whether he's made out to be a PL manager or not.

Best of luck if he does get the job.

I agree with the above. Ince was obviously out of his league here, but he's had success in the lower leagues and this could be the perfect opportunity for him to progress as a manager.

I don't hold any malice towards the guy. He was naive in his management of the club, but it was the men upstairs who gave him the reins.

Not necessarily disagreeing with you, but what managerial traits makes you think he would be a success in the Championship?

Not many but the one that stands out the most is his reign at MK Dons, where he was very successful. Most people will look at his time at Rovers and right him off. I'm not going by fact that he would do well at Championship level, but he has been successful in lower leagues, and may just pull it off for QPR.

It will be less of a gamble than the one we took, that's for sure.

He's shown he can get a club out of a lower league by outspending others so just depends whether QPR's owners make bigger funds available.

I think his man-management style will work better with lower level players. I'd also say that the defensive tactics that the previous QPR manager (and Sam) deploy work much better in the Premiership than the Championship.

If you look at tactics, there is nothing that Ince did that Sam hasn't done. (Yes, Ince totally lost the team, but that goes down to his man-management, which worked well a few leagues lower.)

Given Pauls antics and so on (walking out of his badges to play a round) I'm not convinced he will get a job at championship level. He did not go about things the right way at all and I'll wager even those in power at our club squeamed when knox and co turned up. Christ somedays he didn't even come in.

Ince had a golden chance with us, just look at what a difference a top coach alongside an inexperienced manager does - West Ham.

The worst thing of all is that he still thinks it was a mass conspiracy and he was at no fault, chances of becoming at decent manager at present - ZERO

Egotistical waste of space.

If he gets the QPR job, he'll last until Christmas at the most. They go through managers like people change their pants, and 3 consecutive losses will do him in. There is also the fact that despite being so rich the board have not actually given any money to their managers.

Difficult to say, different league, different team, different way of playing football. Whether or not Laudrup would have been a success is debatable. It's more reasonable to assume Sam would have had more success for us, particularly in a league he has been a part of and been successful in... but I imagine many still would go for Laudrup, even now.
