Kelbo
Shouldn't the captain be organising them on the field? By the time you're as old as Nelsen, you should know how to play, and if you're captain, you should know how to organise. And remember, this is the same captain who begged JW not to fire Ince, that the players would turn it around, then went out and crapped the bed some more. Any player, especially the captain who doesnt support his manager is not worth his salt, but as a coach I will ask you this, when the tactics of pushing forward allow your midfield to go missing and not protect the defence, how do you try to defend five on four??? this is exactly what happened, from the very first game, Sam got us to play with shape and defend in two banks of four which stopped all the goals that were being leaked whilst we were caught out of position, not rocket science but it works and the rest is history. Now we have the Nelsen of old and a much meaner defence despite our failings in midfield.

Amo
Darren Lewis - Paul Ince's friend and media agent - has been at it again in today's Mirror: He [Darren Ferguson] will also be mindful of the experience of Paul Ince, who was thrust into the hotseat at Blackburn after winning promotion with MK Dons, only to be sacked prematurely at Ewood Park. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/200...15875-21399804/ What a schmuck. Amo
Good job, Toots, but unfortunately Mr. Lewis isn't interested in facts. He'd rather fight Ince's corner at every opportunity.
dingles staying down 4ever
Darren Lewis - Paul Ince's friend and media agent - has been at it again in today's Mirror: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/200...15875-21399804/ What a schmuck. The only reason that according to Mr Lewis we sacked Ince prematurly is that Southern biased media types hate us being in the premiership and under Ince stewardship we would not have been. tcj_jones
Then he shouldn't have taken the job. Quite simple really. Shows just how poor a manager he is when he is so heavily dependent on financial backing. Hughes and Allardyce might have something to say about how relative success can be achieved on a shoe-string budget.
Jackson
I'm looking forward to the Ince biography. Should be a short read. Ideal for a trip to the toilet and with a dual purpose.
modes98
During his absence from management has Paul Ince been working hard to get his coaching badges done? No, now why doesn't that surprise me.
Guest benmaxwell
Isn't it funny that he didn't have the finances, when in reality he had more finance then any manager in years here. Whilst here, he almost relegated us, then when Sam took over, we improved vastly... The guy is an idiot, plain and simple...
tony gale's mic
Yep it's what he's said that's really made me hate the guy. If he came, was incompetent but held his hands up and admitted he hadn't been good enough and that he'd learn from his mistakes then that would have been fair enough. But surely any chairman would see that he managed to take a club from 7th and 3 consecutive top 10 finishes to 19th at breakneck speed. Which chairman with money to spend would want to hire him considering he couldnt even recognise his previous failings? What a deluded pathetic man. broadsword
He's completely mad. It's his hubris that won't permit him to see how bad he was, it will always be someone else's fault. That's why he should never be given a top job again, he doesn't have the skills required, but thinks he does. And his mates in the press will be there to cheer him on no doubt. AussieinUk
What a turd.. I cannot believe the nerve of this guy. Grella (£4m+), Andrews (£1.3m), Bunn (undisc) and Robinson (£3.5m) all approx £9m in fees in one window alone....

Hughesy
Basically he wants big funds to cover over the fact that he isnt that great a manager without it (Abit like Keane). He will never be in the same class as Hughes, Sam, Moyes etc. Big ego, thinks he deserves a big chance. You had that with rovers and screwed it up you mug! We now have a REAL manager who doesnt need d!ckhead amounts of money to be successful - thats an achievement!
BRFC1995
john barnes on sky said it took him 10 years to get another job.............make that 30 for ince i think, who on earth does he think will employ him above league
Jan
He's a deluded idiot. Hopefully he'll maybe manage Tranmere 10 years after us. Surely no-one else would be foolish enough to employ him?
tcj_jones
I remember while he was managing us and the club was firmly in the mire, he made some ridiculous comment about wanting to retire within ten years. Weeks earlier he commented how it was also his dream to one day become England manager... I don't think that he was contradicting himself here, I actually think that he believed he could have a spell as England manager AND be able to retire within ten years.
