In fact I would challenge you to give me a BIG NAME foreign coach in the last ten years who has "failed" in the PL?

Easier giving you a list of the ones that have been successful. Wenger, Maureen and to a lesser extent Benitez. There's a clue btw .... regular Champions League money which has nothing to do with us of course.

How many BIG NAME foreign managers have been a success in the PL with our resources?

Well that is a trick question really, generally big name foreign coaches go to big name clubs.

I am not saying that Mancini is even at double the odds to BFS coming here, however if he is available, if he wanted to come and if the board wanted him to come there is no doubt in mind he would bring more success then BFS.

Even with the limited resources, as I said earlier, Firenze and Lazio where in worse condition then us financially and he still worked wonders.

Looks bloody good to me at the moment! :rover:

Sure it does, and of course that should be the goal FOR THIS YEAR, but what afetr that, sorry Sam thanks for getting us out of the ###### but we have to sack you to get a Manager who will bring us success?

Just bite the bullet

While I agree with you on the fact that we need to be looking "bigger and better" than the likes of Curbishley etc, there are no guarantees in football, so surely you must minimise the risks. IMO Mancini would be a risk at this present time, more so than appointing BFS. The right time to go for someone like Mancini, Grant, Ten Cate was the summer when we had something to build on, a certain pull. Six points away from safety, perhaps we've lost that pull at the moment, regardless of being in "the best league in the world".

I hope the the so called fans who voted no have apologised to the Rovers and Big Sam! B)

So some fans had the opinion that they didn't want Sam Allardyce in an opinion poll. You might have disagreed with them at the time, you might disagree with them now if they still hold the same opinion. It doesn't make them 'so called fans'.

I would love Terim, but JW will not risk someone with no Prem experience with the club in it's perilous position, if he does I will be very surprised.

Here's hoping he does.

Mentioned previous, BFS, is the man to bring us back up, if it all goes tit's up. I very much doubt he would be around if that was the case.

BFS sees only the Prem to show case his keyboard football, :D anything else would be a big step back for him.

JW, stated there was indecision on the board as to appoint short/long term, If we go short term, Souey will be the boards choice IMO, but as he has not shown any interest in furthering his management career, preferring the comfy sofa on the TV, this in itself is a concern for me.

So as I believe these two are the front runners, I hope there's a little dark horse coming up on the rails to pip them both at the post, BFS, should be getting used to losing the race by now, and Souey would more than likely prefer to finish his holiday hopefully in one piece, and then return to his sofa.

Who's do I think he will appoint, haven't got a clue, but he will need more than 5m in January, to keep us up, as always I'll back the decision 100% and support the club.

COME ON YOU BLUE'S :xmas:

After Wigan Ince had to go...now he's gone the choice is very limited.

TOP PRIORITY -stay in the division and unfortunately everything, everyone else does NOT matter.

We have gone backwards and are in deep trouble.

Bite the bullet -it has to be Mr Sam Allardyce(local, available and white)

Correct it doesn't Pugg. It does however confirm them as gormless / naive / vindictive / ovine in nature etc etc and if they have any humility at all it should preclude them from giving an opinion this time around.

I don't know if you originate from Blackburn, but we play our football at Ewood Park in a small mill town half way up the North Lancashire Moors, and have very little money to spend, we are half way through the season and one point from the bottom of the division, so what relevance has a manager who's experience is in Milan at the San Siro etc and had lots of money to spend got to do with our present dilemma?

The insularity is stunning.

Correct. Too big a culture clash. Some people are getting ridiculous and resorting to stupidity in desperately searching for viable alternatives to Allardyce.
