CrazyIvan Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Knox took training this morning according to 5 Live.
ihateburnley Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Don't worry Parkes will rescue us......oh wait.
JAL Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 I think it is Mathias. Told Mathias was sacked last week.
JAL Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Is there any evidence to back this up, i.e. t'Internet articles? None El Tombro did anyone see him near Ince on saturday?
islander200 Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Maathis and kno are in charge for saturday
AggyBlue Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Told Mathias was sacked last week. Just been on SSN that he's in charge on Saturday along with Knox.
mark1875 Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Maathis and kno are in charge for saturday this official mate? where did it come from? its all confusing lol ahh ssn lol thanks
trs Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Mathias on SSN saying him and Knox will be in charge on saturday un less something happens this week.
Majiball Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Your kidding, right, captain pugwash and Frankenstein are in charge, bring back ince! (joke). Surprised they weren't told to do one as well. I would have thought the club would be eager to remove the problem. We could have used the reserve manager at least he was coaching adults at liverpool, Downes even. they where just as much part of the problem as Ince thats why they're called a management team! I'm crapping it for Saturday now!
tcj_jones Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 May as well have kept Ince... Mathias and Knox both know they are goners, how exactly are they going to improve things?
Iceman Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Absolutely ridiculous that,Knox and Matthias will be in charge. We might have given Ince another game then. Cmon get a new manager in please, before saturday.
modes98 Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 I really hope not. I think they are more of a problem than Ince was.
Backroom Tom Posted December 16, 2008 Backroom Posted December 16, 2008 Oh dear, I was hoping we'd have someone in today or tomorrow, I really feel part of Ince's problem was his backroom staff.
Plastic Head Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Was just going to predict a 1-0 on the Rovers v Stoke thread. Now I know the caretaker i'll go for an 0-8 to 0-12 reverse. Dependant on how many throw-ins Stoke get.
gbax Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 JW's statement on official site reads... THE search for Paul Ince's successor as Blackburn Rovers manager has started in earnest. Rovers' Chairman John Williams said: "Appointing a new manager is our total focus. "We acknowledge that timelines are tight for we are in a very worrying situation concerning our Premier League status. "We will endeavour to have a new manager in place for Saturday's game with Stoke City at Ewood Park, but there are no guarantees and we must ensure that we get the right man. "In the meantime, the day-to-day training will be carried out by Archie Knox, Ray Mathias and Karl Robinson. Our coaching staff and all of the players fully understand the importance of this weekend's game. "Our supporters can rest assured that we will do everything in our power to get the team climbing the Premier League table as soon as possible."
trs Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Dont rule out someone coming in before weekend, if it's gonna be Souey or BFS then it can obviously happen. Note.....It's not an official release by the club that they will be in charge it's Mathgias who has said they will be there unless something happens this week. Or may be it is official
Majiball Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 I really hope not. I think they are more of a problem than Ince was. I honestly believe its why he failed.
AggyBlue Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Newsticker on SSN :- Blackburn hope to have a new manager in place before the game on saturday My take on that is - They hope to introduce him to the home crowd on Saturday
hawkiiz Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Dear please God and everything good and sparkling let it be Big Fat fireman Sam Allardyce.
scotchrover Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 "In the meantime, the day-to-day training will be carried out by Archie Knox, Ray Mathias and Karl Robinson. Our coaching staff and all of the players fully understand the importance of this weekend's game. KARL ROBINSON ??? Paul Robinsons brother ???
joey_big_nose Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Mental, it is a race agaianst time then. I wonder how Knox and Mathias are feeling about things? Probabaly don't give a rats ass because their manager has been sacked and they know there is next to no chance of being retained. If we don't get in someone by Saturday it will become a farce!
