MarkBRFC Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Sean Davis is second only to Paul Ince for having consistently bad mouthed the Rovers in the past. Said some hateful things when he was at Fulham. I'd like to see evidence of this, the only thing i can remember him doing is like others have said, that rediculous dance in front of the darwen end back in 2001.

Kutuzov Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Dont see why this hate of Rovers in the past from Nolan, Davis and the like is an issue ...With woman hate can often turn in to love......it often turns back to hate again later though... Yes, usually just after they have emptied your wallet!!
TimmyJimmy Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Accountants out there ... or any other brain box come to that ... please tell me why a high wage bill is bad given that we are a wholly owned private company and presumably a non profit organisation. It's an important concern, if for example spurs and rovers are fighting for say Dzeko and he likes us both equally he will go to the highest wage club. We end up with players other teams don't want and spend another season desperate for points like this one. Serious question, I genuinely don't get it. Guidance please.
BrownieFC Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Sorry if this has been linked already http://www.fansfc.com/story/11254.html Crouchy for 11M

LeChuck Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 And we're not a 'non profit organisation'. I kind of know what you're getting at, but no profit = no money for transfers.
Sparky Marky Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 As I pointed out several weeks ago, Sean Davis is an extremely unlikely Rover. Can't believe this guy's even up for discussion....He constantly gave the ball away down here last week...I even turned to my lad and commented on how crap he was....central midfielder who gives the ball away.....We've already got lots of them...don't need anymore...totally overrated.
Beta Ray Bill Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Iv tried looking on the net for any quotes from Davis but cant find anything. Dont see him hating us like some believe. At that time a very good friend of mine was a senior member (secretary or treasurer) of the official Fulham Supporters Group. That's were I got this info from.
bennyboyt11 Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Looking forward to the revealing of this target Nicko!
67splitscreen Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Looking forward to the revealing of this target Nicko! Me thinks you'll be in for a long wait, at least until we have some money,(RSC) unless he is a freebie, which I doubt.
philipl Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I'm really looking forwards to real signings. Cannot give a monkeys whether they get revealed by the press beforehand and in fact think we stand a better chance of making outstanding acquistions if they are done on the QT.
Guest benmaxwell Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 The Independent has come out with our potential wanted list: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/footbal...Popup&ino=1 Joey Barton, Gael Givet, Marc Janko, Aron Gunnarsson, Jesus Gamez Duarte, Eidur Gudjohnsen, Kevin Foley, Sean Davis, Peter Crouch, Maruo Arnautovic, Steve Finnan and Bojan Krkic.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Gudjohnsen and Bojan up front? I like that. A lot.
AJW Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 wait a minute , i dsitinctly remember gudjonson celebrating in front of chelsea fans when he scored against us AND he has played for bolton so naturally he must hate us........... ..........come on guys sean davis is better than we have , he's available ona Bosman , but some of you wouldnt want him at ewood because 8 years ago he celebrated a very important goal for his own club away at their nearest rivals for the division 1 title????? if we worked on that theory we should never have signed andy cole
Backroom Tom Posted May 19, 2009 Backroom Posted May 19, 2009 Bojan is linked with a loan move to Celtic in one of todays papers. Bigger club no doubt but surely its best he test himself in a beter league.
gumboots Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 That is cheap journalism and not worthy of the Independent. Link any player Allardyce has managed who is available plus a couple of has beens and a few that he's looked at before and put them together as potential targets. Yes, the club will know who they are looking at but I very much doubt many of those names are on the list.

Although if other teams are stupid enough to believe this, then its all good news
Hughesy Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Didnt realise that M'Bami fella we went watching is out of contract in the summer. Maybe some mileage in that link then, especially if Sam & the chief scout went watching him.....
Guest Vinjay606 Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Rovers are after better than him... Somebody on BBC 606 mentioned Michael Owen without naming any source. Absolutely nothing to back it up at the moment but obviously fits into the "better than Zaki" category. Any chance that you could be referring to him? 6f course it could be any number of names. A player named Janko was also mentioned and he's somebody who I believe has an excellent scoring record for Red Bull Salzburg.
Craigman Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Nicko has already said that Allardyce was the only manager to tell Owen he had an injury problem and that there would be little chance of him joining.
Guest benmaxwell Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Saviola could be available on the cheap. He is rock bottom at Real..? Daily Mail reporting that Man City are going to bit £18 million for Forlan, and it looks unlikely they will show any further interest in Roque. Think we can pretty much expect a bid for Roque from Man City then. Getting the impression they are trying to stur it up in the media to force his value down a bit...

If Santa Cruz is worth £20m then Forlan is worth £30m - He's got near 30 league goals in the last 2 seasons... I cant see him leaving Spain.
andyroversmad Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Saviola would be a quality signing, excatly the type of striker we need.
