i honestly dont think it would have affect us at all and will only add another 20 pages of mindless conversation with Icers (no offence :D) asking every two days who it is.

Hahahaha, thats pretty harsh Eoin. I havent been posting much in this thread. I couldnt be bothered guessing anyway, as you know ill only guess if its South African players.

Man City readying a bid for John Carew according to SSN... This could put a spanner in the works with regard to Roque getting the hell out.

However it would open up the possibility of Rocky going to Villa. I would think Spurs would be in for him from the off and hopefully start the bidding high so we can force hands early on.

Wouldn't surprise me if Sturridge went the other way, Villa have been linked to him before and they have a thing for english players.

If Carew goes to City then the chances of Roque staying here will increase dramatically.

Thanks as always for the info (or teasers) Nicko

I like the sound of the type of player Big Sam is going for - someone who is going to be good enough to get straight in the team. Plus his knowledge of European players looks to be top notch. If anyone can pull off a bargain it will be Sam (or Hughes before he got rich at City).

Last year we were discussing Fowler, Danny Simpson, Andrews and some 38 year old goalkeeper from MK Dons.

JON CAREW...won't be going to Man City...sheesh.

ROQUE...won't be going anywhere without a medical.

STURRIDGE...will go where he wants to go as a free agent...not in a swap anywhere either.

Calm down, people.

Due to his age, Man City will still be gaurenteed some sort of fee for him though wont they?!

Man City will get a compensation fee, but it will be minimal. He can't be chucked into a swap - it just couldn't work.

Talk of a swap for Roque in the next window is barmy. I'm sure City will try to offload some of their other strikers. They have enough.

Sparky is watching Diego Forlan which tells me he IS looking elsewhere.

But the way City do business and fail to land targets they could well come back for Roque.

About midnight on August 31, mind you.

Danny Simpson

He plays on Sunday for Man U. All Hull need is a half decent left winger and they are sure to score goals.

That's a shame. At least rocky has had all the operations he could ever need so he should pass one before breaking down again.

Hopefully he will see the lights of Ewood Park as opposed to the bench at Stamford Bridge!

I have seen the BBC has listed them in their squad for Sunday, is he even eligible?

Wasn't he registered to us until the end of the season, much like the Judge, Gally and Derbs situation.

Judge, Gally and Derbs loans weren't cancelled. His was... Ie, the contract went in the bin...

Plymouth would have 'canceled' them to save on the wages, and, we would have took them back for the last few games. Can't be right. Maybe BBC have messed it up?

I would love to see him play, and to later find out he shouldn't have

Simpson was registered on loan at Rovers until the end of the season.

He can't play for Man U at Hull City.

Mind you, the Premier League let some clubs away with anything...

Judge, Gallagher and anybody else on loan at a Football League club COULD play for Rovers because their other club's have finished their season.
