gumboots Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Superb stuff bring him on Sam No chance but would love him. His dad manages Lorient, a team very like Rovers, unfashionable, small crowds but doing relatively well in Ligue 1 on a small budget. Watch his goal celebrations showing he hasn't forgotten his Breton roots. He does a breton dance with his little fingers in the air.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I saw Mokoena score a goal like that in warm up once.
gumboots Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I saw Mokoena score a goal like that in warm up once. Perhaps but this guy knocks them in in matches in the French league on a fairly regular basis.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Perhaps but this guy knocks them in in matches in the French league on a fairly regular basis. I think you missed the irony of the post. Is irony the right word? The joke?
dopper69 Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Perhaps but this guy knocks them in in matches in the French league on a fairly regular basis. Whooooosh
modes98 Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I saw Mokoena score a goal like that in warm up once. Nope I saw that to. He was definitely trying to clear it and sliced it in to his own goal
laughatthedingles Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Just noticed the German press are saying Nuri Sahin has become unsettled as he's not figured as regularly this season and is worried his Turkish place will be in doubt. Can someone let Tugay know please.
gumboots Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Perhaps but this guy knocks them in in matches in the French league on a fairly regular basis. Actually it occured to me just as I pressed the submit button but it was too late and I couldn't be bothered with an edit.
BuckyRover Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Actually it occured to me just as I pressed the submit button but it was too late and I couldn't be bothered with an edit. If you were my teacher and you spun me a similar yarn, I would be inclined to believe you were a liar
gumboots Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 If you were my teacher and you spun me a similar yarn, I would be inclined to believe you were a liar Ah, but if I were your teacher you'd know that whatever els I am, I am usually honest so you wouldn't.
BuckyRover Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Ah, but if I were your teacher you'd know that whatever els I am, I am usually honest so you wouldn't. But these young enquiring minds would wonder whether you had been previously lying. Don't underestimate the kids.
gumboots Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 But these young enquiring minds would wonder whether you had been previously lying. Don't underestimate the kids. One thing you learn as a teacher is to never underestimate kids. However, kids are also fairly astute judges of people and know when you are not being honest and upfront. I am. and no. I'm not protesting too much!
Majiball Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Nope I saw that to. He was definitely trying to clear it and sliced it in to his own goal Perhaps his boyhood hero was geoff thomas.
Majiball Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Wonder if Heskey would swap for us for some green bills, Heskey is similiar but far better than Roberts, him and Benni might be just the ticket.
Bobby G Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 How is Heskey better than Roberts? Roberts gets into goalscoring positions all the time. He misses most, but Heskey is more a lump that gets others into play.
BuckyRover Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 How is Heskey better than Roberts? Roberts gets into goalscoring positions all the time. He misses most, but Heskey is more a lump that gets others into play. Heskey is a million times better than Roberts. Such a threat, much more of a handful than Roberts. He keeps at least 2 defenders occupied all the time. I would swap Roberts and £3m for Heskey. Although he would never join us
Mc Love Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 would echo buckys comments, heskey is far better than roberts
Mc Love Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Yet heskey gets in the england team more than him
benhben Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Peter Lovendkrands available on a free transfer. Released by Hamburg, currently on trial at Newcastle.
islander200 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 How is Heskey better than Roberts? Roberts gets into goalscoring positions all the time. He misses most, but Heskey is more a lump that gets others into play. How can you think roberts is better than heskey?Heskey is an england international, liverpool want him back. The reason roberts plays for grenada is because he knew he had no chance of playing for england.I like roberts but to say he is better than heskey is ridiculous!
philipl Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Have to say that Ivan Sproule playing right wing for Bristol City this evening was very fast and quite tricky. No final balls of note but presumably would not cost to much if we went in for him.
Majiball Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 If its true he'd be a good replacement for RSC. Bendtner on the move? £5M Put him on your wishlist please, Sam.
