Would anyone be interested in a trial for Xisco? He was fairly highly rated, and may be a victim of the Ashley/Wise/Keegan power struggle. Whilst it seems ominous he is behind the woeful Shola Ameobi in the pecking order, he is at the geordie nut house, so a new manager and team may get him going again.

OK I thought not, but it was a leftfield choice, and only for a trial.

Karemi on a free sounds good though, whatever happens to Robinson.

Would Rovers fans welcome Duff back if Newcastle relegate? There´s also Sam´s former captain Nolan and R.Taylor who was linked us in January. And any ideas which player plus cash would Spurs offer for RSC? I´ve always thought Bent perfect for us. He is not a big club player I think.

checked out a newcastle forum for a laugh, all suicidal  , they really don't rate ryan taylor or nolan in the slightest, scary to think what duffs wages to games ratio must be.............best just to steer well clear of relegated players

Duff's EPL career is over, he's not good enough for the top division anymore. Injuries and age have turned him into half the player he used to be.

I'd welcome Bent here, I think he's a good player who's been unlucky.

that newcastle forum also intimated that there may be off field reasons why xisco does'nt get a look in, suffice to say "hello sailor" may be said a lot in training

Newcastle is a players grave yard. Steven gerrard would success there like Mokoena for us. Hope they go down. Though Rovers benefit 6 pts if they stay up. ^_^

Drastic changes required up front. If RSC goes along with Derbyshire we will need at least 2 fist team quality forwards and that's assuming that Roberts and McCarthy are still here. We have seen this season that you can't just have 3 forwards. We also need full backs and wide players in midfiled....oh and someone who can pass the ball as well. A whole team apart from the centre backs in other words.

sam allardyce was known at bolton for unknown players who turned out to be good(just abit like mark hughes)- im sure there will be a few unknown players allardyce will be targetting..

also-theres plenty of players out of contract who could come in and do a job-from england and abroad-ie sean davis, jermaine pennant, noe pamarot , Fernando Morientes, and carlos kameni..

sam allardyce had a great record at bolton for buying players on limited funds-im sure he can do the same here..

Giles Barnes is out of contract also, Fulham have an option on him at the end of his loan deal.

I have no idea how he has performed since his comback fron the Injury he had. Looked very promising before that though.

Ordinarily that would be a pretty good idea, but we surely can't take a risk on bringing in more injury prone midfielders? Even on a free we'd still have to give him a decent wage to fight off inevitable competition.

I haven't followed his career, I don't even know what injury he sustained, I assumed he had recovered as he played in Derby's second half of the season.

"An injury, sustained in Derby’s play-off final at Wembley in May 2007, meant that Barnes’ first Premier League start wasn’t until October. He scored his first Premier League goal against Newcastle United in December, 2007."

I just thought 20 year old with Prem experience and potential was something we should be interested in.

Edit, just googled him, your rite he seems to have a recurring knee problem.

1. Keeper

2. A leg Surgeon

3. A forward who can run faster than me

4. Some midfielders

5. A right back

6. A Left back coach

7. A quality Acadamy Director

7. Unsign a. The unfit, b. The unwilling.

I wouldn't put a new keeper as number one priority.

Also, didn't know we'd go looking for a left back coach. Can a defensive coach not handle both left AND RIGHT back improvements?!!

anyone else have a feeling that Allardyce will royally gut the team in the summer and as good as start from scratch using the funds made by selling?

I really do think we need a new keeper, Robinson is alright but lets in far too many easy goals and isnt decisive enough in his area. His one talent is his distribution which is about 200x better than the majority of the keepers in the league but one talent doenst make a good keeper. We need better.

I sometimes do think though that the only real reason im not a Robinson fan is coz Friedel set the bar so high. Maybe i just need to stop comparing him to Friedel.

Defensively we need a Right back and a cover centre half (if Ooijer does leave)

Midfield... we as good as need an entirely new midfield. Definatly should be thinking about whether Pedersen is an asset we need as well, would like to see someone quicker and better with the ball in on both wings.

Up front we need a McCarthy style player without the McCarthy style lardiness and a Target man to replace Roque.

above all they need to be clear of injury worries....

should be easy

1. Keeper Got 3 of them

2. A leg Surgeon Got the finest medical team about

3. A forward who can run faster than me - When Rocky leaves the money will be there

4. Some midfielders - Central x 2 and Right x 1

5. A right back - needed

6. A Left back coach - why do we need 11 coaches?

7. A quality Acadamy Director - agreed

7. Unsign a. The unfit, b. The unwilling. - will happen anyway

The one thing we could do with, is a complete midfield, a left and right back and a striker with serious pace to latch onto some quality ball. Our midfield has been a problem in terms of pace, skill and flair. We need to get rid of these injury prone players, as much as they good players but Dunn and Reid have become a waste at the club.

Some are arguing that we also require a keeper, a CB and at least another forward so that makes an entire new starting 11 for next season!

And all this to be done with a transfer budget of £0 unless we sell a player who is qualified for a Disabled parking Badge or Vinjay's critical take over happens

People on this web site aren't asking for much
