EwoodGlory Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Have seen this Emana play a couple of times on TV and he looks excellent, hopefully we can get someone of this quality in. Blackburn chasing Real Betis midfielder - Nicko's article

unleaded Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Exactly what Rovers need in Midfeild ...................Big and Strong....................But alas Never going to happpen.....Bigger and better clubs will snap him up......
sloth_frattelli Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 What a kit! I can just imagine that being stretched across some big beer bellies on their way down the Bolton Road on match day.
nicko Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Rovers top spy Barry Whitbread has watched Emana twice in the past week...and I know an agent has contacted the player's agent, claiming to act on the club's behalf. It would be a fair amount of money, but that is another matter. Rovers are watching a lot of games in Europe right now. Obviously planning things ahead of [a] staying up and having dough. We live in hope.

Indeed. I've not read this thread at all recently until clicking on this page today. But what is the point until we know which Div we'll be playing in next season? No decent player or his agent will even enter serious discussions until that is known.

But if we wait to see other clubs will be contacting plares and their agents. Nothing wrong with making an interest known and making tentative enquiries, provided it's done through the proper channels. It may be the guy says, "wherever they play I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole" in which case you don't waste your time and move on.

I would have thought the point being, the leg work has ben done, , players identified in both scenarios, homework completed and interest lodged subject to the final outcome of this season..
SamTheShrew Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 do the groundwork, and then move on it quickly the sooner we get survival sorted I imagine. David McGoldrick is another saints player who I think could make the step up to the prem
super_arran Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...efuse-away.html I know he's had a serious injury, but if he's goin for cheap(ish) in the summer, providing we stay up. I reckon he's be a decent signing.
LeChuck Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Only decent?! Rosicky would be the best player here since Shearer if we got him. There's 0% chance of us ever signing someone like him.
rovers1993 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 even if we do... we don't need another crock on our payroll, we already have a team of em.
andyroversmad Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Emana would be a quality signing, ive watched him play for Betis a couple of times and he looks like a really good player.
broadsword Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Don't know about Emana, but the squad needs an enema if you ask me.
Billy Castell Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 David McGoldrick is another saints player who I think could make the step up to the prem I'd be interested, but I think he has recently been arrested for assault or something, along with another Saints player. Here's a link. The other Wright-Phillips is also involved again, so no doubt his dad will say Hampshire Police are all racist.

SamTheShrew Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 i liked him as a player. cant stand him as a person, especially that talk show with adrian durham who is quite easily the most annoying person on radio
Guest Vinjay606 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Anybody who hates Eriksson is OK with me.
Manc Rover Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 According to 'the fiver' from the guardian: Blackeye Rovers are interested in taking Barry Ferguson back off the red hands of Pope's O'Rangers. As Jimmy Greaves once said "it's a funny old game" but I'd fall of my chair if there's any substance in that whatsoever! Perhaps Lee Carsley's coming back too. I fact, why not Ronnie Hildersley whilst were at it!
Guest Vinjay606 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 I doubt it's true but would BRFC supporters be such a soft touch and tolerate it if he was resigned? I wouldn't accept it. Kevin Davies would be even worse if any attempt was made to sign him.
Billy Castell Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Davies is actually effective though. He may have been a pudding first time round, but he has changed his game and become a solid team player. Ferguson though should never ever return. Whatever ability the mummy's boy had has apparently left him just as he left us. Living on past glories up there in the weegie goldfish bowl.

The same Kevin Davies who is Bolton's top scorer this season and is being looked at by the england coaching staff? yeh, i'd be furious
67splitscreen Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 does anyone else think; apart from bein a good footballer, that Ian Wright is a knob? Yep, but the program of him doing the route 66 on a chopper was a good laugh.
Guest Vinjay606 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Davies is a good player now but that dosen't mean he should be welcomed back here. He's burned too many bridges. The night before the Man United game in 1999 he was out partying. That shows the type of person he is. Some people might think as years pass forgiveness should be granted. That's not something I will ever adhere to.
