According to 'the fiver' from the guardian:

Blackeye Rovers are interested in taking Barry Ferguson back off the red hands of Pope's O'Rangers.

As Jimmy Greaves once said "it's a funny old game" but I'd fall of my chair if there's any substance in that whatsoever! Perhaps Lee Carsley's coming back too. I fact, why not Ronnie Hildersley whilst were at it!

ronnie Hildersley would improve the squad.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO that's a lot of player - he'd look good in blue and white instead of that wishy washy lavender colour.

Haven't Everton put tabs on him yet? That'll be the next thing.

I should seriously be a scout for Rovers, I called emana when he was playing in Toulouse.

What a player 7million would be a snip as well this guy is a top player, think Lampard but the ability to beat a man, maybe not got the shooting touch of Lampard but whatever, on the lucky deflections lampard gets. Been a stand out in the betis team.

Encouraged by this link means Big sam knows what we need, in an entire midfield!

Thanks nicko made my day!

Davies is a good player now but that dosen't mean he should be welcomed back here. He's burned too many bridges.

Some people might think as years pass forgiveness should be granted. That's not something I will ever adhere to.

And yet you've been allowed back on here Mr Pot... <_<

Where did Adriano come from (and don't say Brazil or Inter)?

Been released from Inter after going AWOL. Heard that Inter, in agreeing to terminate the contract, put in a provision that he couldn't play for another European club for a certain length of time. Presumably at least the amount he had left on his deal with Inter, but I don't know how long.

Rovers top spy Barry Whitbread has watched Emana twice in the past week...and I know an agent has contacted the player's agent, claiming to act on the club's behalf.

It would be a fair amount of money, but that is another matter.

Are you hinting at money related to any possible takeover rumours?

hold the phone..........we've one lazy arse upfront in benni and now people want a fatter lazier version in adriano, weird! trust sam to sort us out with a bunch of foreigners we've never heard of that will no doubt all be better than wreckage of a midfield we currently have

According to Sky's teletext he has had 'alcohol and personal problems' in the past. So he sounds like another Gazza-gifted, but has literally p__sed his talent against a wall and let the demons take over. Best avoided unless the coaching team has amazing abilities in matters of mental health and sorting out those who have had real troubles in their head.

And I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Samba type of deal.

Chelsea are willing to listen to offers for Anelka in the summer according to BBC rumours page. Wonder if Sam would try and sign him again and, if he he did want to, would the board back him?

where would he play him?? defence? goal?

samba is ace lol

What kind of offers though? Do you think tuppence and a tube of refreshers might do cos I think we could stretch to that.

Wouldn't want cowards playing for this club anyway and that's what Anelka is. That penalty in the CL final last year it was obvious he was terrified.
