Not at all! He's been 100% fit all season. Reason he hasn't played is down to personal differences with Moyes!

That and he's a bag of crap. I always thought he was rubbish when he was playing for Holland, I think he got found out when he went to Everton. Isn't he meant to have a drink problem too? Moyes doesn't seem the unreasonable sort, if they've had a falling out I'd wager the problem was on Van der Meyde's side.

Edit: Didn't realise he was still only 29. That's probably the only shred of comfort in the story though.

If we sign Viduka I will be just as disappointed as when we signed Fowler.

It would be another clear sign that the board have completely lost their way and need to replaced if Viduka and anyone of that ilk (coffin dodger) signed.

LOL! I love having him on ignore. Thanks to all those who PM'd me telling me how to put him on ignore. My mail box was overloaded with likeminded real Rovers fans who have done the same!

There is nothing wrong with Vinjay's last post. It seems as though you are excited about the signing, but the fact of the matter is he is rubbish. Just another load to our wage bill.

Far from it. Not excited by the signing, just about the fact that the info had come to me first hand - I've never had a 'scoop' before. Sorry to confuse you and your friend!

Viduka would be a truly desperate signing, too old, no resale value, relatively high wages and injury prone.

Last thing we need imo.

Van der Meyde - really struggling to see how he would be as good as, or an improvement on, what we have already.

Looking in the bargain bin/free signings by the looks of it, doesn't bode well for next season if this is the best we can do.

I dunno about that SA and BRFC might turn out to be Bartons salvation. Sam to JB could be what Clough was to so many of footballs 'bad boys' 30 years ago. I do think Bartons got a real 'complex' mind, made much worse by the pressures of being a Prem League footballer but if a few analysts reckon that it can be dealt with and he comes cheap then he'd be ok.

BUT

Do we never learn from our pomposity? I rem not long ago various people were offering to chuck their ST's onto the pitch if we signed Bellamy.... Sav..... EHD! Sorry ladies but we are in no position to allow false pride to interfere with our football.

Sam Allardyce is no Brian Clough!

Viduka was my suggestion. Some people appear to think it's mutually exclusive to sign experienced players and young players. It's either one or the other. Viduka would cost peanuts, and the real money can be invested elsewhere. On his day, there's no one better at holding up the ball and making space for others.

Viduka would be OK if he could stay fit, but let's face it, what evidence is there he will stay fit? Everything from the past couple of seasons points to the opposite. His wages would no doubt be huge, too. At 34, he's too old and we don't need another crock in the squad. Pass.

next season would be an enduring season again should we stay up. too many departments needed to be attend to with too little money available. Also for the new guys bought in, they would need sometime to gel together as a team.

that being said, i am hoping qualities and not quantity bought in. we need pace and creativity! we need to start taking gambles.

1) center midfield ( A huge hole! ) - a reasonably creative guy

2) Right winger - pace to burn

3) Right Back - pace to burn

4) strikers X 2 - 1 pacey and 1 strong and have good positioning

i hope rovers will look out of the premiership.

Sort of sums it up- might add:

- a Centre Half as Zurab looks to be off, Ouijer is,

- and I think Allardyce is looking for a keeper - Jaskalinin hit the mark, but there are not that many in your list around of much quality.

There will be options though.

Right Winger

Might get Bentley back on the cheap.

Pennant - doubt it as he doesn't want to come.

Right wingers are like rocking horse dung. Might settle for a youth squad player here I think.

Centre mid- phew!

Ben Watson bossed us about two weeks ago - very impressed but available? Costly

Kieron Richardson is creative and could do a job, he did play there in his youth.

Forwards

Amechebe? - frozen out at Everton now but technically excellent and bags of pace and potential, attitude?

I think Spurs will outbid us for Dean Sturridge if he wants to go and they want him to go- shame.

Owen? Sam could do it as the wages won't be what they were and he live in the NW. Another sick note?

Right Back

Tougher and tougher - Remember were replacing the current Dutch International C/B here.

Mr. G Neville! old, expensive but Big Sam as done it before.

Well the way you came across seemed as though you were/still are excited by it.

He may be annoying and you may choose to ignore his post, however, a FEW times he gets stick for nothing. Give the lad some breathing space.

Give the lad some breathing space.

Why? Has he got asthma?

Amazing how you managed to insult him and champion him in the same sentence!

Again, sorry to offend you and your friend!

vidukas career is effectively over, the fact is its 4 years since he was any good.

these stories linking us with absolute dross are either made up by the agents of said dross or complete tools who put 2 and 2 together due to the fact we have little money.

allardyce is mr prozone, mr sports science..............vidukas body fat ratio added to what i'd imagine are some rubbish prozone stats on running would suggest that maybe 2 years ago sam may have bought him but right now the best place for him is on another clubs payroll.

we have little money therefore i'm certain all our new signings will be unheard of foreigners for small fees on medium to good wages.......rather than hapless drunk crocks on top money where the selling club will be popping champagne when they are out of the door i.e van der meyde, viduka, gerimi, smith, barton, entire newcastle team ffs the premier leage ain't the only place your allowed to by players from

Your attempt at being humerous is appalling.

Sean Davis would be a good asset to our squad, however, we now have to look at our targets and have one question in our minds..." Is he Sam's type of player?".

Hmmm! Yes, where as your "Big Sam's on viagra" song is nominated for both a comedy award and a Bafta?!!!

Kids! Shhhh!

gbax, your attempt at trying to get a group backlash at Vinjay backfired because he said nothing wrong. Move on... This is a Rovers board after all.

Isn't it funny how the 3 D's could all do a good job at Rovers. Simon Davies, Sean Davis and Steven Davis!

Sadly Topman, his day has passed never to return.

Deschamps coached Givet at Monaco. I reckon Givet will remain at Marseille and become a first choice player next season.

That's a pity, as he has looked a really good addition!
