He's a VERY exciting prospect, but is still only 18 and has only scored a couple of La Liga goals so even if we do get him in for a season, he probably won't be an amazing addition, just a good addition with bags of promise that we'd never have a hope of signing. Still would really like to see him here though.

Barca have been linked to Ribery and Villa recently, if either or both come in then its going to further reduce Bojan's chances of getting first team football to develop even further.

Its a sound move to loan him out and let him get some experience.

What's really encouraging is that we have been linked with some skillful pacey strikers recently, not the big strong targetmen that is widely expected.

Got all summer to sort out such a move so any short delay over a decision won't change anything.

Not sure about that Vinjay, this is a player with some serious potential and is bound to generate some interest from clubs with more resources than us. I bet Spurs come sniffing, though they have been burnt over the Dos Santos deal and might stay well clear...

The only way i could see Bojan coming on loan is if we sorted out a deal pretty quickly.

Why shouldnt we get Bojan? Most people thought the likes of Bellamy & Bentley would have chosen more obviously glamorous clubs than Rovers but both thrived whilst here much more than they have since. Big Sam got Anelka to Bolton and rejuvenated his career for him. There's plenty of reasons why a season-long loan offering regular first team Premiership football would be an attractive proposition and Rovers are one of only a handful of teams who can offer that.

If the rumours are true I'm loving Sam's 'aim high' transfer targetting. It's going to be an interesting Summer!

In the Telegraph tomorrow:

We are apparantly after Bojan (Yes the Bojan, Barca Striker) on loan for next season. I very much doubt he's even heard of us!

Of course he's heard of us. He's a footballer isn't he?

Both were damaged goods. With Bellamy it was a chance to revive his career with the manager who'd helped him at International level. With Bentley after his escapades at the Canaries nobody else wanted him.

I can't see any obvious links between Boban and Rovers but if Barca want him out on loan then there is a chance.

I wonder if we could interest them in a swap for Santa Cruz...:lol:

The Independent do a list of the 10 players likely to be on the move this summer.

With Tevez, Ribery, Drogba, Villa up there, RSC only makes 10th place and significantly Citeh are linked to all four of those as well as Spurs to Tevez further re-enfrcing my view that we are going to be in for a very long and uncertain summer so far as our Roque is concerned.

The thing is that if.....IF Bojan was available then you can be sure that more than just us would be sniffing around him and we would end up missing out. One to drop I guess but if it is true nice one for at least looking interested.

Could you see Sam talking to him though

Sam - "From what hight can you trap a ball?"

Bojan - " Can you not play it to my feet?"

Sam - "Look here you dont mess me around - Shefki Kuqi is still playing you know and I will drop you in a heartbeat and go and sign him up"

You just have try and sell the club to barca in the best possibly way. Say look what we did with Careers of Bellamy, Bently, RSC etc and explain why he would be suited here, and away from the busy London city and the national press. Offer a decent house in the Ribble of a Flat in manc and hope for the best. There would be a lot less pressure on the player than at Villa everton, city ,Spuds etc. and this could really help develop the player.

If this was to happen (big if) then this could be great for the future of rovers - friendlys, other loans etc.

but at this stage its still a massive IF

If this story is true then hats off to Rovers. About as likely as us re-signing Alan Shearer but it shows we mean business, showing some ambition and looks positive for other targets we might go for. Certainly beats the players we were linked with (and signed) last summer!

Sounds to me like the policy in Jan was - lets be prudent just in case we go down but if we stay up, lets invest in some playing talent in the summer. The future all of a sudden feels brighter!
