I reckon after a few weeks of giving us all a laugh trying to sign every star in Europe, Hughes will regain some sense and sign Gudjohnsen.

Don't know how to break this to you but Hughes left almost a year ago for Man City. Sam Allardyce is now our manager... :P

Pennant, Bates, Sean Davis, Sturridge, Carlos Kameni - all available for free this summer and all we should be taking serious looks at.

agreed..altho i dont think we need another keeper-paul robinson is coming good..

joey barton if sacked should be added to the list aswell...

Bunn is wanted - Fielding is wanted - Brown is on his way out

That leaves 1 keeper if Bunn goes. Increase the competition, increase the quality, increase the performances!

Barton if on a free also is a good shout (but we wont go into that discussion again).

For the hard of thinking, I meant for City. I know very well who our manager is.

Do you honestly see Rovers trying to sign the biggest stars in Europe when, according to Sam Allardyce the Rovers manager (still keeping up?), our budget means we can't even afford the biggest stars in Blackburn?

The agent's quotes are very careful and leave a lot of doors open for the season end.

The good thing is that the thing is wrapped around a potential move to Rovers so Sam has clearly moved with some intent to get Bojan.

exactly as i read it. The agent wants some guarantees about the lad's future but can't be seen to be pushing openly for a move

Seitaridis has been released by Atletico.

I'd love to think Sam could bring him to Ewood. He'd be absolutely brilliant on a free transfer.

He seems like a stereotypical Allardyce signing as well...I hope so. We could have the option of pushing Emerton into centre midfield then too, almost two birds with one stone.

Seitaridis - position & age? Anyone seen him?

He's a right back, and according to Wikipedia he's 27 (thought he was older to be honest).

He was absolutely brilliant the year Greece won the Euros, I've kind of followed his progress ever since then. He didn't turn out to the world class right back he threatened to be then, but he's still very good; pacey, strong, gets forward well. Pretty much everything you'd want in a Premier League right back really.

According to this report, we were after Seitaridis in January.

I honestly don't remember that at all, and it wasn't long ago...that's a bit worrying. I only found that by accident, if you Google 'Seitaridis' that's the third result.

I remember that alright but the rumour didnt gather much pace, maybe our freind at the mirror may shed some light!?!

I thought Setaridis was going to be world class when I first saw him play for Greece in the Euros. Played Ronaldo off the park in the Greece/Portugal game, he reminded me a lot of the late great Keith Newton. Since then nothing much has happened, but if he's still half as good as he was then he'd do for me.

Speculation has started early this time! Thought Villanueva was the "special one" last year? Now its some 18 year old from Barcelona. We need good, strong, speedy British players who have skill but also have the workrate to go with it not some young inexperienced foreigners.

Don't be a (xenophobic?) fool.

We won't be signing many British players, we don't have the ££££.

Young, inexperienced foreigners is exactly what we need. We should follow the Wigan model.
