roversmum Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 It's only a matter of time. The question is, will it be soon enough?
bennyboyt11 Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 what a week this would be if he leaves the dingles!
den Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Given the news that if he wants to strengthen the team in Jan, he has to sell first, - I reckon he would be off like a shot.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 If we beat Stoke and Sunderland get Coyle, this week will make up for the crappy 11 months 23 days we have already endured.
Mr Creosote Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Could it be the end of one of Burnleys best start to a season for a long time??? Coyle to Sunderland Oh please, please, please, please, please, please, please Ince for the Facecombers?
Wiggy Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Er ....the sting in the tail is him revitalising the Mackems and leaving us trailing in their wake.
nicko Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Check the date of the story...the 'decision day' has passed...and there has been no contact.
yoda Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Check the date of the story...the 'decision day' has passed...and there has been no contact. Does that mean Sunderland have a new manager?
LeChuck Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Bilic is the favourite at the moment, didn't some bookies suspend betting on him this morning? Apparently they want a foreign manager, I don't think they'll go for Coyle somehow.
nicko Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Does that mean Sunderland have a new manager? Niall Quinn is having a lot of trouble finding agreement on a short-list or a strategy...that club is in a bit of a mess...and they are also low on cash. Maybe another one you can catch if you start winning tomorrow.

JAL Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Just going away from Owen Coyle but staying with Burnley has anybody seen the mINCE PIES box some Burnley fans have printed for christmas. To briefly describe it, its a box the size of six mince pies with Paul Inces head printed on the top of the pies saying mInce pies in a sort of ###### claret and blue colour. On the other side is a picture of Ewood Park ground empty taken from the executive boxes of the Blackburn end with a Mosque printed above and behind the Darwen end saying Blackburn v Stoke City, date, ten minutes before kick off. Seems Rovers have totally peed on them once more with the appointment of big Sam.
Ewood and I Would Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Coyle won't leave whilst the he has the chnace to win the Carling Cup and promotion...as much as I'd like to see it.
thenodrog Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Apparently they want a foreign manager, I don't think they'll go for Coyle somehow. He must have some support somewhere. After all Sland are run by foreigners..... they are funded by paddy's, Quinn is a paddy, Keane is a paddy and Coyle is a paddy.
scotchrover Posted December 19, 2008 Author Posted December 19, 2008 coyle and burnley are foreign Especially when there so close to YARKSHA or some like me say there actually in YARKSHA.
nicko Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Really? So them being linked with McGeady is just paper-talk? Sunderland don't have the money for McGeady any more. And he doesn't want to leave Celtic.
thenodrog Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Sunderland don't have the money for McGeady any more. And he doesn't want to leave Celtic. If thats kosher then i guess the billy big-time foreigners will be backing off and maybe Coyle's odds coming down.
philipl Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 The very last thing we want/need is for Owen Coyle to go to Sunderland before Boxing Day. In fact until we are safe, we don't want Coyle anyway near a Ptremier League club. If we couldn't have him, we really don't want him revitalising anybody else.
allanncd Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 The ultimate decision-maker at Mackems is an American. He won't be interested in someone noone had ever heard of until a few weeks ago.
Drummer Boy Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 ......... Coyle is a paddy. With that accent? Just because he played for them once in the 90's (Jack Charlton even called me to check if I had visited Ireland) does not make hima paddy. Think you're stretching the point a bit!

Maybe bit playing for RoI will undoubtedly tick a box with that lot.
