Backroom DE. Posted January 13, 2009 Backroom Posted January 13, 2009 Fair enough. I was prompted to talk about FM due to our supposed interest in Chretien and Saivet. I will have to remember to pm Al my posts from now on. Don't want him to miss out on any pearls of wisdom. FM's a good tool for gaining knowledge of players, but should certainly not be used to determine their ability or worth. Very pleased with the Givet signing, it'll give Nelsen and Samba a reason to play better, and also give us another option on the left.

PM's are blocked too.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Rovers set to complete Givet swoop That's got to be one of the most unflattering pictures ever. No doubt the LT will produce a saturated horribly contrasted photo to rival it though.

BuckyRover Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 In answer to Bucky's quote above this posting. PM's are blocked too. Unbelievable. Al reminds me of Gordon Brown. If people are saying things you don't agree with, ignore them. Totalitarian stAlin
brian_gallagher85 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Until then 'allez les Coyleistes.' Merde!! This should be interesting tonight then...god it's been a boring window
den Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Ryan Taylor eh? Wants to leave Wigan, but they wont sell him. How can they do that, we all know you should let your players leave when they ask - we do. What's anyone think the chances are, that rovers will sell Santa - without a replacement, or at the very most with a gamble of a loanee?
captainhaircut Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 I hear that Jermaine Jenas might be available at Spurs. Rumours he's been offered to Everton as part of a deal for Arteta, Wigan as part of a Palacios deal and Newcastle for N'Zogbia. Nicko, have you heard anything about this? He'd certainly add plenty of pace and energy to our midfield.

Den there's a difference between tayor and Santa Cruz though in that Taylor's contract runs out soon and Santa Cruz was happy enough to sign a new one not so long ago. I can understand Wigan still not wanting to sell but it isn't quite the same case.

What's anyone think the chances are, that rovers will sell Santa - without a replacement, or at the very most with a gamble of a loanee? Well I was thinking that if we sold Roque, we'd probably go for a loanee until the end of the season. Mr. Nixon said that there is an idea re: a striker if Roque leaves, someone we've been linked with before. I first said Ivica Olic who I didn't know had gone to Bayern Munich. So now my guess would be, Manucho perhaps?

AJW Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 might get told off for this coz its not strictly "on topic" but someone posted a question earlier about givet signing and where he would play and who would be dropped .... what if we went with a 3-5-2 formation ... samba , nelson and givet with emo and warnock as wing backs?

cn174 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Sky Sports Breaking News that Man City have opened talks with AC Milan over Kaka. Surely not
TugaysMarlboro Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Sky Sports Breaking News that Man City have opened talks with AC Milan over Kaka. Surely not Man City: Will you sell him? AC Milan: No (Please don't use that word again) off.
neophox Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Nicko: 11 o clocker now please? need to go to sleep! Cheers!
modes98 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Rovers only please. Kaka talk in the other prem thread.
PAFELL Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Nicko: 11 o clocker now please? need to go to sleep! Cheers! He'll be at the dingles game at the moment.
bob fleming Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Man City: Will you sell him? AC Milan: No (Please don't use that word again) off. They're talks aren't they?! So let's see, "Shall we sign Bellamy? No, not offered enough. Santa Cruz? No, not offered enough. What shall we do now? I know, hows about £120m* for Kaka? What do you think? I think I'll give them a call." * I'm guessing
nicko Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Filing from behind enemy lines, so to speak... I hear Rovers are watching Atletico Madrid's Greek right back Seitaridis tomorrow night. They obviously have not got anyone for that position yet. Givet is looking good to be signed - Zoro probably not. Roque may have to wait for Man City who have not agreed a Bellamy pricve yet and are running around daft after Kaka...what a circus. In another strange business... Everton are trying to sign an Israeli striker called Barda who plays in Belgium for Genk. Best known for scoring the winner for his country v Russia and giving Steve McClaren a chance to make the Euros that he screwed up. Odd one. And Stoke are trying to sign Andy Gray from Charlton...I kid you not. That's it for the night. Got to plot another Cup run with a chum.
