Seitaridis missed out due to injury, according to their website. Too bad.

The Santa Cruz reports are annoying, does he know what City actually offered, or are they playing him just like they're playing everyone else?

I'd wish Rovers would just go official with the City bids.

We are linked with Oldham winger Chris Taylor, in the 1 million pound region. Have never heard of him...

Straight away I thought he was a kid I'd read about from oldham who had some promise, its him.

I'm pretty sure he's a left winger though.

Lots of championship clubs have been sniffing around him several bids have gone in and been rejected.

However I have never seen him play.

That was it Iain Dowie was on about him in that cloumn of his about lower league players, but do you trust dowies judgement.

That would be the one Matty, I would stay well clear.

I heard yesterday that Rovers have been trying to contact City to do a deal for Roque.

Janko is lined up as a replacement, and we need to make a move as other clubs are interested.

Obviosly City are busy with other things, and didn't take the call.

Hopefully Nicko can clear this up?

SUGGESTION FOR THE MODS/ADMINS

Given the amount of traffic the site gets during summer/transfer windows purely based on the info Nicko posts, how about giving him a locked news posting thread with rss feeds off that thread. Then "lurkers" can simply look at their rss reader rather than constantly F5. Just a thought

You can already subscribe to the thread as an RSS feed (at least you can with one click in Opera ;) ) although I have not sued it so don't know how good it is.....

Those people who just read it should perhaps just use the lo-fi version instead. Been reading it that way myself today (except for just now so i can post this) and it's perfectly fine to read, and you get more posts per page.

Anywho... Does Nicko know that the site is back up and running? We have missed our last 11 o'clocker :D Seen both £5m and £9m as the price for Janko - i'd much rather the former.

I can't help but ask why the top marks man in europe, who's got a goal a game average of 1.5, is being courted only by Rovers and Betis? Surely bigger teams have been to scout him? why are they not jumping in?

Afonso Alves, Kezman scored how many in the dutch league, and its far stronger than the Austrian.

Keep the devil we know me thinks. I get a bad feeling in me gut when I consider this one keep Roque till the summer sod the money.

Is there a way to donate money for use in upgrading / maintaining the site? Perhaps a Paypal account? I'd be happy to put something in to make the site better and more reliable, especially as my normal first port of call when logging on is to this site, for my fix.

Quick update.

RIGHT BACK - Massive blow that Seitaridis did not play...Sam was at the game. Checking to see where they are this weekend - but this pursuit is a bit cursed after Chretien's game was called off last week.

ZORO - Doubt it.

JANKO - His agent has been over - he is Roque's most likely replacement - but the Austrians want a ridiculous £9 million. They're wealthy. They can ask what they want.

ROQUE - Man City are either taking the mick out of Sparky by not agreeing a fee or they just negotiate slowly. It's the same with Bellamy which has been on the go for weeks too. Farce.

Like in the summer, love him or hate him, it generates a lot of interest.

To start having a Nicko only thread is not hte answer.

Bigger bandwidth is the answer, which is what is in the pipeline with the new server, I assume.

If it means financial support from the members so be it, having implemented it though we would more than likely lose all the visitors, so would probably not need it then. :angry2:

Can I ask do you think they are bidding like this on purpose? delaying the deal till the last moment, putting us/others at a disadvantage due to time to get in replacements. We could sign a lot more than just a replacement for RSC with 18M, perhaps even up-grade on our current targets.

Moneys obviously not in short supply they are paying well over the odds for Kaka, but yet are not willing to cough up for Bellamy or RSC, somethings smells.

And BS going by private jet, according to an earlier post. Didn't know they had economy in private jets. :lol: Hope the cost has not come out of the transfer coffers.
