This was reported last week, but it was from a tribalfootball'ish source and no one else IIRC. Which makes me think it might be untrue.

Seitaridis is in the squad, but not starting tomorrow night for Atletico against Almeria, according to their website.

On a side note, I'm currently watching Barcelona against Deportivo. They're 3-0 up, and it will be more - they're THAT good.

They are FANTASTIC - and Messi is the best player in the world - no doubt !

According to french canal+ we are going to sign Jean Calve - Nancy right fullback.

He's the one I mentioned the other day. Nicko said last year our scouts we're looking at him, the match was on Setanta, so I watched the game and he look pretty good, i was quite impressed.

We didn't make the move and went to Nancy and has impressed while there apparently.

Le Tallec isn't a bad shout. Price is right, only 24 and had limited Premier League experience. Not sure he could be described as "exciting" though.

I was the only one saying Exciting. Nicko didn't say that.

I don't think it was Nicko who described the £1m striker as "exciting"...

EDIT: Beat me to it alexanders...

Portillo is important for Osasuna so no way will they sell him let alone for that figure.

Le Tallec is just finding his feet again, and doubt he will come back to England after his last experience...

Kazim Kazim, hmmm, could be a good shout...

It could indeed, but I certainly hope it isn't. Colin Kazin Richards is just "Jason Roberts Lite"; there's no point us buying another striker of that style.

I'm hoping for a tricky, CREATIVE forward. But I won't be holding my breath.

I asked Nicko about Kazim a couple of weeks ago and he said it'd be a nightmare dealing with the Turks etc. I'm sure he was priced at over 4m too, so doubt it's him.

Where's that come from bud? I've been very impressed when I've seen him, albeit at a low level. Could be another Stead.

Not foreign so not Nicko's striker but that doesn't rule out the possibility of it being true as he may be another option.

As for Nicko's striker could it be another one of Big Sam's african gems? He does like his african players.

Yeah I thought that too. Id never even heard of him really before today.

24, striker, has 18 goals so far this season.

He scored a hattrick in a Sky game earlier this season, I forget who they played but he was sensational. I thought he was younger than that, but he looks a decent prospect nontheless.

EDIT. Just Soccerbase'd it, it was a 5-4 win against Bristol Rovers. Great game.

STRIKER - Metz's Senegalese striker Babacar Gueye is coming in this weekend. Pulled out of his side's game at weekend, watched by Rovers week before. Price agreed. Usual 'test' arranged but looks like a deal. Tall chap who might have a chance but looks like a squad/sub man at first.

RIGHT BACK - Calve has been asked over but there are other right backs being watched this weekend. Calve plays for Nancy and was NOT even in the squad for the game last week when Chretien was due to be watched. Calve's agent heard about this and pushed his player to come over and have a look - while Rovers take a look at him.

MAN CITY - Palacios confirmed by Wigan, Bellamy probably on despite Tottenham interest, Roque seems to be on the list but City playing cool.
