BuckyRover Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 they are obviously very different, and friedel does probably concede less goals, but he dont take part of the attacking part of the game like paul does. would we have won on saturday if robinson didnt kick long on the second goal? he almost got himself an assist there. thats vital as much as not letting in goals. i think given time, robinson will be a real favourite. ROBINSON BAD FRIEDEL GOOD Argument over

DavidMailsTightPerm Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 ROBINSON BAD FRIEDEL GOOD Argument over A bit harsh - and I do agree that his kicking is probably the best in the Premiership - but I would gladly swap that for Friedels ability to deal with crosses and corners
Billy Castell Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Paul will be much better than the other Paul who joined in the summer. So Nicko, are we any closer to signing anyone?
hawkiiz Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 ROBINSON BAD FRIEDEL GOOD Argument over are you Chewbaccca?
tony gale's mic Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 would we have won on saturday if robinson didnt kick long on the second goal? Yes, considering we were 1-0 up before and won 3-0 in the end. Robbo is an average keeper, not better, not worse.
Hi Mack Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Expecting Kaka........................Get Bellamy!!!!!!!! Oh Man City you got to love them! RSC the Taxi is waiting, Mr Hughes we know you have extra cash now soooo! Get on with it! Ps wonder if Kaka is on our list to replace RSC!!!
hawkiiz Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Yes, considering we were 1-0 up before and won 3-0 in the end. Robbo is an average keeper, not better, not worse. come on. that second goal was crucial. and it was not his first either we are keeping clean sheets, and even though it might be down to Sams ability to sort out our defence, we still get what we want, clean sheets. and he will only get better - whats there to complain about? it is hardly his fault we were left in the relegation zone for so long. i will stop this now sorry.
ebenrocks Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 manchester city are such a joke. Richest club in the world and all they've signed is Bridge and Bellemy... hahahahha. Everytime i see one of their 'potential signings' snub them it gives me one of those horrendous belly laughs and im nearly crippled. Total laughing stock. Good buisness by Rovers ladies to get Amy Kane in today. Excellent young player, looking forward to seeing her in action.
tony gale's mic Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 City's spokesman has just been on SSN...
Hi Mack Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Good buisness by Rovers ladies to get Amy Kane in today. Excellent young player, looking forward to seeing her in action. Haha didnt expect that at the end..........fair play though the ladies have got a decent set up now!
JAL Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 I think Milan wanted him out. He wasnt convinced. Respect to him... City's offer was always an indecent proposal for the lad Kaka, a young highly talented christian, the City deal just wasnt right for the boy and thank god hes not been ruined by this and took the bait.
tony gale's mic Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 http://www.goal.com/en/news/710/manchester...-from-kaka-nego
villadan Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 If I remember correctly were you guys linked with Pogrebnyak? By the way want to swap Roque for Harewood?
jim mk2 Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 manchester city are such a joke. Richest club in the world and all they've signed is Bridge and Bellemy... hahahahha. What's so funny ? We'd love those 2 players at Ewood.
modes98 Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 1 evertons one and only shot on target. Rubbish. Anichibe had a shot well saved in the first 5 mins. Get your facts straight!
tony gale's mic Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 What's so funny ? We'd love those 2 players at Ewood. You cannot compare our situation to theirs.
Kelbo Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 If I remember correctly were you guys linked with Pogrebnyak? By the way want to swap Roque for Harewood? No but Ashley Young and your Abg, cant spell it (striker) whatever he is plus 10 million maybe
philipl Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 well done Kaka. Hughes position must be in grave danger now as he will be seen as not a good enough draw irrespective of Elano talking out of turn if he did. Nobody has commented on City's De Jong bid. Is it true his release clause is 3m Euros in the summer but City have offered £18m to get him now? If so, Sam's £40m for Roque now has a rational Basis in addition to Rovers' own economics which are a perfectly good argument in my book.
ebenrocks Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 had a feeling from the start that City would be wasting their time. Thing is, in Italy, they're unbelivebly proud that they have Kaka playing in their league. Berlusconi, being primeminister would have taken a MASSIVE drop in popularity if he had allowed kaka to go. He would be risking more than just a fan backlash by allowing Kaka to leave i reckons. What's so funny ? We'd love those 2 players at Ewood. you might. Id never have that nutter bellemy back and id pick Warnock over Bridge anyday.
Mc Love Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 GWAN KAKA!! I wouldnt have left for that much money either, waaaaaaay too much pressure
nicko Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 The 11 o'clocker...but can't guarantee these things are not going to change because of Man City's total humiliation... ROQUE - There was due to be a bid put in tomorrow. Who knows now. There could be heads rolling from this - and maybe a whole new strategy. PALACIOS - Due to sign for Spurs. Again, who knows now. City might come back in. ZORO - Going home, possibly never to return. Can't get over the Kaka thing...some of the Man City people are just looking like complete fools...how does Gary Cook talk his way out of this one? Unbelievable.
bennyboyt11 Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 What a relief to not see the most ridiculous amount of money being spent on football Question who's going to be their next target... Messi? Ronaldo? Fowler?

Have you heard anything about the Kaka story? I assume it caught you cold as seemed to be the case with most other journalists and bookmakers - that Guardian article from yesterday was pretty much the only thing I've read which seemed to be on the money in the end. By the way, this is how Cook talks his way out of this one: Whilst Manchester City Football Club has an obvious interest in world class players of the quality of Kaka, we owe it to our fans that such a transfer must work on every level; commercially, financially, in terms of results on the field and within Manchester City's broader community
Amo Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 PALACIOS - Due to sign for Spurs. Again, who knows now. City might come back in. God, why do Spurs have this magnetism for players when all they ever do is underachieve. They're in the thick of this relegation scrap too. Hardly a glamorous position. Must be the money.

Think the Kaka snub has just sped up the Roque deal! heres another one to discuss!(on the correct thread of course) If RSC goes for 18million.............what does sam get to spend? Providing Ince got hardly anything from the Bentley sale!
