Nicko!

Did you heard anything about the Hannover hungarian star's Szabolcs Huszti?

He is a really quality player. I think he is a super singing for Rovers. Huszti is a left foot player and play on the same position as Pedersen.

Pedersen is very leisurely nowdays, so i think he need a rival. :)

They're Podolski's team and he wanted to go home. How many times does it have to be said. He's wanted to go back for ages and now they've taken him. He was never going anywhere else.

I feel it would be wrong to tinker too much this transfer window, the team are playing together as a team and trying to gel new players in the position we are in would I feel be difficult and counter productive.

Sam himself feels that the squad is good enough to keep us up, just some fine tweeking and a little more depth!!

We will use the money we have in the summer when our fate is known!!

We average 45,000 at home and are the only club in a city of 1 million?

i agree generally

as for eveyone lauding kaka for his scruples, the guy is reputed to be on £250k a week already. he doesn't merit beatification for making a decision against severely restricting his image rights earnings potential/sponsorhip income AND his chances of winning anything on the club circuit- nor would this have had a positive effect on his international prospects.

Indeed. Its hardly like a player rejecting Liverpool and staying at Barnet! Its like the idiots who use Giggs as an example of a loyal player. Its hardly difficult to be loyal to a club that win silverware every year and pay you unbelievable sums of money. I am pleased that City have failed to sign Kaka. As Nicko has pointed out, Man City have no class and deserve this humiliation. They are screwing us over Re. Roque as they are leaving us is limbo with respects to the aforementioned plan A or plan B. Either give us the 20million or do one. Let us know where we stand so we can sort our own squad out! Not all of us have limitless budgets!

Still merits some praise for doing what he wants to do though and not being pressured into moving by anyone else. sometimes it's esier to go with what people expect you to do. There was a rising groundswell of opinion that he just might go and that Milan wanted him to and it's hard to go against that. Don't think he's a saint, just that he's managed to stay level headed and think things through before jumping into the mess that's city.

Could say, in that case, that Le Tissier staying at Southampton rather than moving onto a bigger club would be a better example.

I'm just interested in how much City will want Santa. I don't think they're after playing games with us as has been suggested. Perhaps before the Kaka deal fell through but now I think a little panic may set in and it will be important for them to prove to the world that they can still get their targets even if they're not quite in the Kaka mould.

For that reason, I believe they would be willing to part with twenty million pounds, give or take a million. Roque is as good as gone after the Kaka deal fell through and although in an ideal world it would be great for him to stay, lets take the dosh and stick to Sams plan A.

Nicko - anything happening with Diouf to Rovers this January? Or has he settled again at S'land after his chat with Sbragia?

I still think we are a right winger short from being a decent looking team (when no one is injured).

Nigel De John (allegedly) has a summer release clause of £1.8m. Reports say that Man City have (allegedly) had an £18m bid accepted for his immediate transfer.

Roque has a summer release clause of £18. So by "Man City logic" (if such a thing existed...), we should be looking for £180m.

I'd probably take that.

i dont think santa will leave this window. his "i would love to play alongside Kaka" doesnt make mush sense anymore

we need him, and we dont need to strenghten our relegation rivals. it is bad enough having a (on paper) very good spurs team chasing us. Having a very good city chasing aswell isnt exactly a dream situation. especially if we are Roqueless. they can have Julio in a swap for sturridge.

Yes but would you say Kaka is worth in excess of 100million? ....No footballer is worth 20 million never mind that! Citys bids are unrealistic & they want to look like bigtime charlies so I think we should help them build on that image by allowing them make a showpiece 25 million signing!

No he isn't - unless he is the one missing bit in a team hovering on winning the champions league and will make 3-4 seasons of difference - ie. Chelsea (even then the financial payback is unlikely). I just don't think Hughes is stupid enough to keep bidding. At the moment he has bought 2 crocks and wouldn't add a third for that price.

Cook might though - he has £110m burning his pocket out! I wonder if he needs any consultancy doing?

City have certainly ###### things up for themselves during this Transfer Window!

I've heard somewhere that Bayern Munich have put a £140m price on Ribery to stave off City!!! Which would make you think how much Barcelona would put on Messi?

Further emphasising my point, what a deluded fool Cook is.

"We talked a lot about a humanitarian approach and also environmental issues and the statements his son would like to make around the world.

"Unfortunately when we talked to Milan yesterday those issues were taking a back seat and the financial demands were coming to the fore.

"It's a shame he won't be able to join us on our journey."

Seriously, that is what Cook is quoted on the BBC web site as having said.

£50m for Roque and we'll buy some Paraguayan rain forest?

 On the Hicks debt - few sweaty palms there from what I've heard. Due a visit soon so I see what I can fin out. Apparently Parry's a goner.

HUSZTI - no idea, been watched for years but no-one has bought.

DIOUF - gone very quiet which is a relief.

PREMIER LEAGUE SWAP - there's a fascinating swap going down right now...not Rovers related...keep it for the late one - depending on Old Trafford traffic it could be the very late one.

GUEYE - Metz confirm they expect an offer.

CALVE - here for the week.

ROQUE - no word yet, Cook is probably too busy doing interviews explaining how he cocked it up and trying to avoid the Arab dagger heading his way...shouldn't laugh, but I am doing. I hear the 'delay' also includes Rovers finding a replacement.

Man City seems to be concedering Johnson sale. Cash+Johnson for RSC? Great talent and would really help us after injury.

I do like Johnson, but he may be a big-time Charlie.

Sturridge is the one the manager would like from the deal.

Can't emphasise enough that there HAS to be a striker in place before Roque goes.

It's not Cook's fault. Milan "bottled it".

I hear Robinho has a birthday party to go...and Brazilians are not very big on 'team bonding' weeks in Tenerife. Think that is why he walked out.

Talk about a clash of cultures.

On Kaka - Well Robiniho told him not to come.

Has anyone else considered that Robinho may have told Kaka not to come, so that Man City are forced into a move. Either Hughes or him, has there not been rumblings about Scolari wanting him still. He's walked out gone home surely he's trying to engineer a move to Chelsea as he always wanted.

15M + Johnson and Sturridge on loan for the season. And Jim Cassell can be added in as well.
