Exiled_Rover Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I daresay Bent has more than one car. I can't see why he'd turn up at Ewood though, surely deals are done over the phone/by agent and medicals would be at Brockhall anyway? Sounds like tripe to me. I doubt he'd drive to Blackburn anyway - the team will have come up together. He'd be a fantastic signing though.

I hope its not Darren Bent, Charlton got relegated with him, Spuds underperformed with him !!! Only telling you what my son saw and he did see that car, he is a graduate and wouldnt get that wrong!!
Billy Castell Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Wait until you hear the Robinho story... I can say absolutely no more. No PMs - no more word. You will find out soon. What a week. Sounds scandalous. Did he go to Brazil for a lads night out with Ronaldo? It reminds me of a story I heard about the cancelled Boro match a while ago. Firstly, Emerson turned up with some random girlfriend, and left his wife in Brazil, whilst someone else's wife was boffing all the other players. All this got to Robson and he got drunk and had a fight in a wine bar. So nowt to do with the 'flu. Legal bit: Of course these are unfounded rumours and not to be taken as the truth. I really hope Hughes stays on long enough for a £40m bid for RSC.
bennyboyt11 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 looking forward to this inside scoop on the Robinho story
BlueWhiteDynamite Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Wait until you hear the Robinho story... I can say absolutely no more. No PMs - no more word. You will find out soon. What a week. The Sheihk said he could go behind everyones back ? leaving MH & MB looking clueless and GC looking like a fool for talking about giving him a large fine ?
Dufflite Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Talk Sport just reported that Robinho had a bust up with Hughes after he had been on the recieving end of a disciplinary for some unspecified reason. It seems he didn't like it buggered off home to his mum. Hughes isn't going to win is he....!?
nicko Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I can't say another word about this at the moment...you will see why when it comes out. Prepare to be amazed.

I can't say another word about this at the moment...you will see why when it comes out. Prepare to be amazed. Cue some Micheal Owen style handrubbing!
Manchester Blue Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I can't say another word about this at the moment...you will see why when it comes out. Prepare to be amazed. But will we get the actual truth or have to put up with more Cook guff and nonsense along the lines of it being a misunderstanding and he had permission all along? I've never known the press in general to be so kind to a shambles of a club as they seem to be doing with Citeh. Apart from the odd story i've hardly read anything negative so Cook or Hughes must have lots of friends or a good deal of influence.

I think Man City will walk into an awful lot of stick over the Kaka failure. They already have - I saw 'laughing stock' in at least one paper today. As for Robinho. Don't ask.

Billy Castell Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 The Robinho thing sounds libelous. Does it involve Peter Mandelson, a pineapple, 3 transexual Geisha girls and a selection of power tools? Whatever the truth is I hope to hear it, as it really does sound juicy.
nicko Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 When will we find out? (Aww c`mon you knew at least one of us would ask!! ) I don't know. It's too delicate. But it is so explosive that someone may do it.
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Though I have lost a certain amount of respect for Hughes - I do hope that the owners back him against Robinho. Player power has gone daft - if he has gone awol without permission (his agent is claiming it was just a mix up - and was actually an agreed arrangement) then he should be heavily fined. If they do anything else - Hughes is a goner - but it also sets the tone for the next manager.
Mr Creosote Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 The LT have a snipet that Wigan face competition for the signature of Reading's Stephen Hunt. That competition is, of course, Tottingham. Ffs is there nobody they dont want or will try to tap up?
brian_gallagher85 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I don't know. It's too delicate. But it is so explosive that someone may do it. So it's fair to say that it's a "good" suprise, (from everyone elses point of view), unlike the "amazing story" that was Robbie Fowler joining us?
nicko Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 So it's fair to say that it's a "good" suprise, (from everyone elses point of view), unlike the "amazing story" that was Robbie Fowler joining us? Robbie Fowler was an amazing story...so much so that you are still talking about it. The other thing is not good news at all. I can't post it - because your website would be shut as a result.
Dufflite Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 From the man himself Robinho says: "I would like to make it clear to the fans what the situation is, so that they can understand my decision to fly home to Brazil." "Earlier in the month I made Manchester City aware that I needed to return to Brazil, because of a family matter. The club agreed and I was grateful to them for this." "Up until yesterday it was my understanding that the club had no problem with my plans." Hmmm - just doesn't sound right.
Jim J Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Re the car at ewood this afternoon, I'm sure it was a Bentley, hence the private reg of Bent maybe??
villadan Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Robbie Fowler was an amazing story...so much so that you are still talking about it. The other thing is not good news at all. I can't post it - because your website would be shut as a result. Anything to do with being in a Leeds nightclub Nicko? If you get Darren Bent it would be a cracking signing he seems a confidence player and Big Sam will give him that Would love him at Villa working with MON

I can't post it - because your website would be shut as a result. Not good news for Rovers? or is it more generic bad news?
modes98 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Sturridge is the one the manager would like from the deal. He's the one from Man City that would make a difference. He would also get a good run in the first team, only worry would be that we would lose him at the end of the season and that would still leave us minus a striker. Still if he liked the setup and was a first teamer then maybe he would sign up.
savage90 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 So its not good news, and it would cause our website to shut...meaning it must be rovers related bad news :/ okay now im confused cause what could possibly go wrong at rovers right now? or am i totally off...and its to do with another club :/
