Hi Mack Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Any chance of us going in for Joaquin of Valencia - he played very well when he came on as sub in the Spanish cup? Pipe dream!

Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Can't see why it's so unlikely since we were after him in the Summer. And I'm sure I read he was up for it too.
The Rover of Finland Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Any chance of us going in for Joaquin of Valencia - he played very well when he came on as sub in the Spanish cup? He doesn´t play in France
MancVillan Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 No Darren Bent in the Spurs squad tonight. He could there for the taking for Rovers if Santa Cruz goes. Wouldn't mind him at the Villa.

donis1410 Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 wouldn't you see him as a more similar player to Benni? I would say if we sold santa we would need a player similar, like janko, who was just as much a threat in the air as with their feet
HemelRover Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 For anyone not watching the Spurs/Inbreas game Big Sams in the stands watching. Cant remember if weve got Spurs coming up soon or not? If not, who could he be watching? Tottenham 16: Alnwick, Gunter, Woodgate, Dawson, Assou-Ekotto, Bentley, Zokora, Huddlestone, O'Hara, Modric, Defoe. Subs: Cesar, Bale, Pavlyuchenko, Giovani, Campbell, Taarabt, Rocha. Possibly Gunter or Huddlestone for Spurs, could only be Eagles for the Inbreds? Edit: Weve not got Spurs until April.

If not, who could he be watching? Edit: Weve not got Spurs in April. wouldnt he be there anyway? as manager in the PL he cant attend enough matches but if he was looking, Nicko: who was Robbos buddies at Spurs? do you think he have tipped sam of any of their players, or possibly talked about the idea of Ewood to any of his pals? or for that matter, do you think we will see friends of Grella or other relatively new signings?
nicko Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 but if he was looking, Nicko: who was Robbos buddies at Spurs? do you think he have tipped sam of any of their players, or possibly talked about the idea of Ewood to any of his pals? or for that matter, do you think we will see friends of Grella or other relatively new signings? Think he was looking for tips... And, sorry, you are not getting Blakie.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 I thought you'd be at Ewood cheering on the chimps Alan? 'Arry hasn't got a clue, he deserves to lose this, the clown. Hopefully not though.
Wolverine Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Bentley is not necessarily such a crazy idea. I know for a fact he regrets leaving. Of course, as ever, it comes down to money and would 'Arry be happy to strengthen a rival? Very unlikely - but then we know from experience Bentley can engineer a move.

ScottishRover Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 I know for a fact he regrets leaving. HOW?
LessThanJake Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 that'll be the 11pm-er going late then...

RibbleValleyRover Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Maybe Sam is looking at Chris Eagles. Looks a good player, iirc Fergie didn't want to sell him but he wanted first team football and Ronaldo was the competition. I've also read that United have a first purchase option on him if he was for sale...
laughatthedingles Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
herbergeehh Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 I've also read that United have a first purchase option on him if he was for sale... Why would they want that? A decent player, by all means, but he's got nothing to offer Ferguson. And if he does want him, surely he will get him.
