Kelbo Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Vitor Perreira is now playing in Cyprus...not him. Vukcevic is interesting...bit of a hot head but a talent. More likely to be for the agent's 'other' club than Rovers if it is him. Still searching. Nicko, Is the agent Mariano Aquilar?

nicko Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Is this player coming to Rovers, Nicko? The agent is tight with Sam, so he could be working for him - or for the other club he is close to. He is English and I don't want to name him...in case we are being monitored by rival outlets.
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Neil Warnock claims there has been two accepted bids for Ben Watson, SSN (not the best source i know!) reckon Rovers and Wigan are the frontrunners. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11676_4833547,00.html Warnock said: "I can tell you that West Ham and Fulham aren't." "We've agreed fees with a couple of clubs and obviously Middlesbrough have got the opportunity to speak with him first. "I don't know if he's going to speak to anybody else but once we agreed a fee other clubs can quite rightly match the fee and talk to him." === Heard anything Nicko?
The Rover of Finland Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Is this Watson any good? How much? CM or winger? Sounds very different than Nicko told this afternoon. He wasn´t suppose to be coming.
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Is this Watson any good? How much? CM or winger? Sounds very different than Nicko told this afternoon. He wasn´t suppose to be coming. Never seen him play myself, perhaps someone has and could shed some light. I am pretty sceptical myself on us being interested, especially if his value is rumoured to be around £2 million. We have been linked though and there has been some bids accepted for him so I was just wondering if we are one of the clubs that has made a bid.
roversnick Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 creative / attacking mid looks decent when i seen him play - quite lightweight tho My mate is a C Pal fan and rates him highly

Reading...mentioned a while back...think Boro favourites.
bennyboyt11 Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I think we should be aiming for better than Ben Watson IMO, from what I have seen of him he's not what we need right now...
philipl Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 BBC- Watson having medical at Boro now So not going to Rovers. The clubs around us are suddenly beginning to do business- most doing little more than shuffling the deckchairs. This Colombian forward going to Wigan might be a bit tasty. If true Bullard moving to Hull is presumably on a creative contract with a relegation release clause but could be the bit of class Hull have been needing to start hurting opponents again.
Oklahoma Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Nicko, the most recent news here was that Man City are preparing a bid for Veloso, Sporting Lisbon midfielder. Moutinho is also a possibility since he has been linked with Everton before. Both would be expensive. 20 million € or more. Vukcevic would be a big possibility a few months ago. He had a lot of problems in the club and only recently started playing again. Would be a good option since he can play as attacking midfielder and as a striker. But if it is cheap, maybe Adrien or Pereirinha, young players from Sporting. Been playing some times and seems to have a good future, according to portuguese press. Sporting have a lot of debts, they need to sell. From Benfica, maybe Di Maria that was linked with Chelsea a few days ago. Balboa, player that came from Real Madrid, is definetly the weakest link and failure in the team so he could be loaned out or sold. all the others, i dont't think Benfica would sell before getting in a better player for their position.
rundereim Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Nicko what about kightly do nobody have interest in signing him (mabe to expensive)
nicko Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 KEIGHTLY - Wolves can't dream of selling right now. PORTUGUESE TARGET - Think the agent is working on Veloso...but at £20 million...no way Jose...still not sure who the clubs are...that fee narrows the field.
Oklahoma Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Somebody in the 'cheap' and 'available' bracket...probably not him. An agent who does a bit for Rovers and another Prem club has just been to Lisbon to do a deal. It's stumping me at the moment. Moutinho - definetly not - too expensive veloso - definetly not - too expensive Vukcevic - possible - Adrien and Pereirinha - possible - balboa - possible - available for around 4 million€ Di Maria - definetly not - too expensive Binya? - possible any more clues about the player?
thenodrog Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I think Eagles would be worth a punt considering the squad we have, do you think Coyle would sell him given the right offer? He does get some good reviews and imo our priority by quite some distance is right wing.
T4E Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Moutinho - definetly not - too expensive veloso - definetly not - too expensive Vukcevic - possible - Adrien and Pereirinha - possible - balboa - possible - available for around 4 million€ Di Maria - definetly not - too expensive Binya? - possible any more clues about the player? We're signing Rocky's wife??
SuperStella Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Eidur Gudjohnsen's father and agent Arnor has dismissed reports linking the Barcelona midfielder to a reunion with Allardyce, who managed him at Bolton. "He is not going anywhere, 100%," he told Setanta Sports. "[Coach Pep] Guardiola said at the start of the summer that he wants to keep him for the whole season. "In the summer he has one year left on his contract. Then we will see what happens, but I think he would like to play his contract out in Barcelona. "I have not heard from Blackburn."
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Isn't Binya the Cameroon player who got sent off against Celtic in the Champs League? He's the Rory Delap of Cameroon with his long throws.
Oklahoma Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Yes, that's him. Agressive player but useful in the midfield. Nicko, are you sure it is a lisbon-based player? Just read the news about Pele, young FC Porto midfielder that came from Inter Milan. He is not an option there so could be cheap. Could be a good option for Rovers, if he played for us like he played in Inter.
Barrymaffia Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 We're signing Rocky's wife?? Thats Great!!!
The Rover of Finland Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Nicko, any news on Bullard? Sky says only that clubs have agreed but nothing about personal terms. And you´ve always mentioned he might have problem with medical. Anyway I´d be quite surprised if he really goes Hull.

And you´ve always mentioned he might have problem with medical. Anyway I´d be quite surprised if he really goes Hull. I'd be amazed. He wants £65,000-a-week...and he fancies himself as a 'big club' player. No harm in trying, but I suspect this is Fulham getting the news out to spark an auction to sell Bullard and get some dough in for Delph at Leeds. Call me Mister Suspicious.
mohelger Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Vogel might go first.. Do you know if any specific clubs are interested in Vogel then - and would Rovers let him go at a free? Surprised me that he wasn't even in the reserves' squad last night (unless he's injured again) - could mean he's on his way... Looking forward to that 11 o'clocker - as always. Thanks for taking the time
nicko Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 For the benefit of the Villa fans who just jammed my PM box...I will put the Heskey update in the 11 o'clock thing. Clue - he's not signed yet. Until then, just hold it. Ta.

Though he is really good mates with Phil Brown. They went on a golfing holiday together last summer.
