AJW Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 at least rovers are being pro-active and getting replacement before he leaves , i had this horrible feeling city would come in with only a few hours to go , then we'd be up the creek without a paddle what is it with vogel anyway? fell out with betis , ince never played him , now sam wants him out?
novella Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Cant really see roque banging them in for city, hes always relied on crosses and i cant really think of any good crosses of the ball playing at city. Personally i think Janko is a good move. Similar build to roque, looks handy with both feet. cheapish in the current market. why not.....?
allrovertheworld Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Then again he could bang them in like a crazy man and we could have all this to look forward to again next January. His goal to game ratio is awesome, is the league he playing in easy to score in or something? Yes
hawkiiz Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 daily mail says we rejected 15m for santa today - holding out for 18m are they reliable on this one nicko? looks weird to me, but do they really make things up?? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...ye-Hammers.html i had a quick look at the Red Buss site under his "q&a" i found something a bit disturbing.... Something that I am really good at: Injury rehab!!! does anyone know if he is injury prone?? other than that it look like he is a liverpool fan, and a determined guy. im getting excited! http://www.redbulls.com/soccer/salzburg/en...-detail_29.html
philipl Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Even after allowing for some soft and badly positioned defending and less than athletic keeping, Janko certainly has an eye for extremely accurate striking on either foot and with his head:
Backroom Tom Posted January 22, 2009 Backroom Posted January 22, 2009 Certainly looks like he hs all the tools Philip. Nicko is there a strong possibility of a new RW then? I think with good service Janko could be the business.
EwoodGlory Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Also in the Mail.... Blackburn look at Egyptian pair and offer pay-as-you play deal to Zoro Blackburn scouts will be in Cairo on Friday night, when Egypt take on Kenya, to run the rule over home attacking midfielder Mahmood Abdel Razek and right-sided utility man Ahmed Al-Muhammadi. Rovers have offered Benfica's Ivory Coast defender Marco Zoro a pay-as-you-play deal after he impressed on trial at Ewood Park.
unleaded Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Shikabala looks very exciting................also known as "Black Panther"..................... The Black Panther
roversinmyblood Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Some impressive action on youtube The standard of opposition marking was non-existent!! He wont get that freedom and time on the ball in the premiership. Mind you he takes a cracking penalty!!
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Any striker who can put the ball into the back of a net is a player who can add something to any team. If we put Jason Roberts in his team instead of Janko, would he be scoring 5 hat-tricks a season? I doubt it!
BuckyRover Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 The news is early cos I have a tale to check out and can get this out of the way... ROVERS - Going to bid £6 million for Janko and want a quick answer...need to find a replacement for Roque. As that nice Gary Cook said the dynamic is that Rovers need a replacement before they will sell. It's a bit like the Friedel-Robinson scenario. ROVERS AGAIN - Back in for the Egyptian right winger Al-Mohammadi who was on trial under Ince...being watched and may yet be the surprise right wing solution. HESKEY - Villa are going to try to agree a fee, offer him fortunes and get Martin to persuade him Rafa is a Spanish waiter in more ways than one...that was a wee funny. Liverpool want him in the summer and the player was happy with that. Villa want to prove they want him more. MAN CITY - Celtic are keen on Ched Evans, expect to do a deal. No word yet on the Portuguese tale from earlier but thanks for the help. It is too bizarre to go into right now Following up Ince's targets? Is Sam mEnTaL?
modes98 Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Looks like a natural born finisher. I'm not sure what his shots to goals ratio is like but seeing his goal reel is very encouraging. Left foot, Right foot and headers, not to mention his pens. He won't get as many chances but goals are goals no matter who your against and this guy has the touch.

No sure about that stat but 30 goals in 20 games doesn't sound bad to me!
TugaysMarlboro Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Shikabala looks very exciting................also known as "Black Panther"..................... The Black Panther And I thought that Michael Owen only had one foot! I didn't see this guy use his right peg at all. Then again, that ball he curls in with the outside of his left foot is outrageous! I'll be happy if he can do that all the time.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Could be the Austrian version of Marco Negri.
gumboots Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 The standard of opposition marking was non-existent!! He wont get that freedom and time on the ball in the premiership. Mind you he takes a cracking penalty!! Is he allowed to bring the crutches on just for the penalty though?
PAFELL Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Can we sign salzburgs right winger too! I had the same question when looking at the video clips - he did get good service from the right wing - who would also know how Janka plays etc.
Hughesy Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 He looks to have a natural finishing ability which can be put into any league. Yes he might not bag 30 in the prem, but im sure he would still end up with twice what roberts can do. Him for £6m + money to spend on other players like middle and right wing, or roque?? Its an obvious choice to me when one of them doesnt want to be here
Amo Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Yeah but are Man.City actually gonna show us the cash? I mean, where did the Bentley money go??
thenodrog Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 everyone is a gamble... Wrong. Santa Cruz is not a gamble.
novella Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Wrong. Santa Cruz is not a gamble. he was a gamble when we bought him....

I think with good service Janko could be the business. Surely RSC would be the best and proven option if he were given quality service from a quality right winger? he was a gamble when we bought him.... Much lesser and much more acceptable gamble cos we were not fighting relegation then.
