No major news, but a couple of small items.

Man City are still sure they are landing Roque...that is from a high-up.

However that will take Rovers finding a replacement at the right price. Plan B will be watched this weekend - sounds like Janko may be too expensive.

Found out that Sam's sulk on Friday was because he wanted to sign a player last week - for a fee and big wages - and was knocked back...

Oh dear.

Micah Richard`s by any chance Nicko  disappointing by the board indeed, I think Sam has proved enough so far to have the backing of the board and has gained enough trust, if what you say is true regarding players wages.

Was somebody "economical with the truth" during Allardyce's interview?

Couple of minor items that I forgot to mention...

OOIJER - AZ Alkmaar want him to sign a pre-contract with them for the summer. Rovers won't let him go earlier without a fee.

ZIGIC - Linked in a paper today and was watched last weekend. That's not the striker Plan B I heard about, but it could be right. Hopefully not. He's a stump.

SAM'S TARGET - It's gone and it's up to the manager to come out with the details. I know there is some unhappiness about it, but that's for them to sort out and hopefully starting signing before the window...no point in worrying over it until the lack of spending becomes a real issue. Time to assess that is on February 3.

It is certaintly looking like that. Why appoint Allardyce then not back him with enough transfer funds.

Was all the money spent in the summer ?.

If we sell Santa Cruz will all the money go to team rebuilding ?.

How much transfer money have we got for this transfer window before any sale of a player.

the problem with the trustees is the majority of them couldn't care less about us beyond the threat of relegation reducing the value of us as an asset. there is a couple of the trustees who really care passionately about us and honour jack's legacy. unfortunately they are in the minority.

Was this one Janko, or was there another one in the tangled web.

Has the offer of 6m been turned down, as reported in the press, his club stating, he will not be leaving in this window.

As each day passes I get the feeling, BS will be blown out of the water, with about 1 hour to go in the window. :angry2:

Rovers were at the Santander game last weekend, so there may be some truth in it...hopefully they have realised he is not the answer.

I see Viduka was linked with a loan to Spurs today. Could it be worth a gamble? Sam signed him for Newcastle and his quality, if not his fitness, is undoubted.

By the way Nicko, has there been any update on Shay Given? Did we negotiate a sell on clause? 10% of 14m would add nicely to the coffers.

Watson is Wigan - despite them denying it on Thursday night. Squad man, no more.

Don't know about a Given sell-on clause...think the fee will be about £8 million. Somebody made a mistake letting him go all those years ago.

The Viduka-Spurs thing has to be wrong. He started one game this season and walked off after an hour. Crocked. Officially.

Some of the tripe in the papers today makes me howl.

We're not in a position to gamble, we've enough players who spend more time in the changing room than on the pitch at the moment. Good player who can be great on his "day" but for all sorts of reasons doesn't have enough "days", not a relegation battler either.

Try watching that Sunday supplement with those smug gits on there.

Could have been worse, they could have had that Lovejoy fella on.

Still.....one of em did say he thought RSC would be off this week for 20-22 million..... NOT A BLOODY CHANCE!

That's alright then- I think there are only two named trustees although I stand to be corrected on this one.

David Brown hardly looked dispassionate when he was caught on TV at recent Rovers' matches.

Why are we being comfortably outspent by the likes of Wigan and Bolton?

Not having a dig just seeking some reasoning.
