I am very impressed with the link to the Russian. I wonder if it really going to happen? Sounds like an incredible deal - move Derbyshire out, sign him and keep Cruz. Only problem would be a complete lack of pace....

Hmm. We shall see what happens. Nice for someone exciting to talk abou though. And Sam does have a fair bit of experience in bringing in comparatively big (in a number different ways...) names.

Well there's a balance. There has been an obvious upturn in results since Allardyce has taken charge, but there are still also huge points of concern when it comes to the nature of some of the performances.

I agree. It was Sam's decisions that threw away 2 points against Man City. We have done very well since he started, better than I thought we would do. But that doesn't mean that if anybody mentions any perceived faults, that they should be shouted down.

As somebody pointed out to me earlier it is a "Messageboard". People can have their opinions without people having a "go" at them. People keep saying "with your job", or "with your career". I only mentioned that because I was derided as an idiot for wanting to sell our wantaway striker for a record 18m. Just for saying that. How else can I come back after being called an idiot? Maybe I should have said "No, you're an idiot".

How will this post be perceived now? We will see :)

ROVERS:

If we sign Pogrebneyak, I would jump for joy. Although the post nicko raised about him being unfit is a very valid one.

But, he is a big name and I believe is destined to do very well. He is definitely built for the Premiership. That would be the "bums on seats" signing I was moaning about earlier.

I would be very happy.

I scoffed at the Derbyshire to Olympiakos link earlier. The weird world of football.

well surely this means we're bringing someone in? Surely this throws the Santa deal away as even if we bring in a replacement for Derbs we will still only have 3 strikers if Cruz goes.

At this moment we have two strikers if Cruz goes and we dont do any business. We must have something in the bag to have let Matty go.

I thought if we got the money for santa Cruz and rotated with Derbyshire plus our front two we might be able to limp by until the summer, this changes everything. Unless we have decided to balance economics with tactics and are planning to opt for 4-5-1 approach.

Dont rule out Sams Plan B - sneak Kevin Davies in under the radar

There's a picture on the right atleast.

Text translated with one random translator:

The FC OLYMPIAKOS announced its agreement with the Blackburn Rover for the half of 22chronou international lending British offensive, Matthew Anthony Ntermpisair.

Exciting stuff at last. Bolton tonight and Debyshire for a Russian hitman will do it. ;)

Anyone think we should be signing a pre-transfer agreement with City now to sell Roque in May? £18m wont come along very often now and it would keep the pressure off us an on City 'till the end of the season. They look like getting short of strikers while we seem to be getting our act together. If anyone would do it they would! B)

Really need a right winger and a creative midfielder unless Dunny stays fit though.

It is also on teamtalk.

It also talks about Zenit discussing our bid for Pavel (easier to spell than his surname).

Exciting stuff indeed. He is very highly respected, very strong and has a good head and left foot on him. I don't know what it means for Roque though, seeing as Derbyshire has already gone.

Strange...

Interesting timing with our bid for pob.. Derbs news is not on the english version yet.. well at least not for me.

Loaning Derbs gives Sam the excuse to not let RSC go even if we do bring the Russian in :)

Would be rather good business all round if we pull that lot off.. still think Pob would be on too high a wage at Zenit though.

Isnt there a deal though that if he goes in the Summer he gets 5mil.. ?

Not that I am saying we should sell RSC, and personaly I still think Hughes has already gone he just does not know it yet.

I can't also don't believe Hughes will be there in the summer.

I am much happier now, we have finally bid for somebody!!

I am a business analyst. I certainly wouldn't describe myself as a big shot, but I would say in my opinion I shouldn't be descibed as idiot (although that doesn't really carry as I have previously worked with many idiots!!)

Hmm..... panning out a bit now. This russki in for Derbyshire plus Diouf or similar on the right with RSC funding it all.

Still leaves us one short up-front though. Unless perhaps Blackman has impressed Sam?

Doesn't it leave us with 4? Smells about right to me.

How very bizarre. Wonder what his girlfriend thinks about that - unless he's taken her with him on a 6 month holiday!

6 months in Greece. Yes please!
