Been talking to a few non Rovers supporting friends of mine who have seen him play, especially in the Uefa Cup and they reckon he is far better than Pavlyuchenko.

It looks like he has all the attributes to do well in the prem, tall, strong, good in the air and the deck.

He is definetily a great striker, very good cover for RSC if not even better. But before it´s official I can´t believe he´d come.

Love to know what kind of loan fee we got in exchange for letting Derbyshire go to Greece on his holidays. Especially if we're still working on shipping out Roque - we'd be left with Benni, Roberts and an unproven striker, unless there's more than one coming in.

Tonight's match was definately proof we need to strengthen, no matter what Sam says. I think we could keep RSC and strengthen midfield/defence instead, but without RSC's sale I doubt we'd have enough to spend on anybody decent. Difficult.

Having watched the master tonight (Tugay) in the second half and the fee bid for Kaka, I wonder what a player of Tugays ability if he was 25 would be, make no mistake, Tugay is the best passer of a football I have ever seen!!

Sounds like Roque had a good game tonight when he came on and will further add to the feelings that we shouldn't let him go. I wonder if Pavel is available on the cheap and Sam wants to bring him in without selling Roque... Might explain loaning out Derbs.

He sounded pretty certain that he is staying. There was also talk of Rovers bringing in a defensive midfielder who plays for top, top side in Spain. I will not say who it is but he plays for a team who are currently in the top 4 of La Liga.
