He sounded pretty certain that he is staying. There was also talk of Rovers bringing in a defensive midfielder who plays for top, top side in Spain. I will not say who it is but he plays for a team who are currently in the top 4 of La Liga.

It's not Sammy from Valencia is it?

After the supposed news that Dunny is sidelined for the season, surely the prioroties have changed to a Central Midfielder/creative player rather than a striker.

Kamy, have you heard the same about DD ?

Also, present in one of the boxes were reps from Villa and Stoke City.

Derbyshire is on a plane to Athens as we speak!Flew from London this Evening!

I really want to know who the lad coming in is!

1) he has to be better than Derbs

2) Has to be good enough to replace RSC if a ridiculous offer comes in for him!

Not sure what to make of Sams comments.. part about Pavel was not on sky sports.. but he did make it clear Derbs was only going if his replacement is signed tomorrow (so discussions must be ongoing already)... and RSC was defo not going.

I probably jumped the gun a little thinking that the replacement was Pavel lol.. must remember not to get over excited lol

This might be worth the wait.

ROQUE - Amazingly there is a rival bidder and an auction. Spurs have come in and are willing to pay £20 million. No kidding. Stunned. Spurs want to outbid Man City and get the player to join them. The snag - as it was with City - is that Rovers want to get a replacement. The price has suddenly gone up. So that might mean it is easier to find a new striker.

DERBYSHIRE - Shocked, but there you go. Surprised it is a loan at first before a money deal.

DERBYSHIRE REPLACEMENT - It could be the Russian but he isn't fit which makes it stranger still. And what is the fee?

ANOTHER STRIKER - Been watched tonight.

HUNGARIAN - It's the kid who was with Newcastle last week but opted to leave them. Shrewd judge. Name of Andras Gosztonyi.

Masses of other tales. Real Madrid are in the country and making an offer for Valencia at Wigan. Benitez has been talking some terrible nonsense tonight...no sign of Keane leaving...Spurs have obviously got another target.

Leaving it at that until the morning.

Not sure I would sell to Spurs, especially when you consider their way of paying for a player (full of incentives, instalments etc.) Plus I’m not sure Roque would want to go there, with all the comments he has been making towards City its clear he has huge respect for Hughes and that’s a big factor in wanting to go there.

And there is the small factor that I hate Spurs with a passion...

I guess when big gob 'Arry' starts saying how great a player Santa Cruz is we know he is up to his usual tapping up routine and the interest in signing him is there.

I think his woeful effort in the 4th minute of injury time against City has affected Sam somewhat. It certainly affected me....

Anyway....can we put Andrews on a slow boat to China.....

The Titanic perhaps.

Seriously though....does no-one want the useless terd?
