gumboots Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Diouf about to sign as replacement for Derbyshire good business by Sam that is. Diouf is a better player then Matty I'd love to believe this isn't true.
gazsimm Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I'd love to believe this isn't true. Diouf is a better player then Derbyshire and will help fill the gap on the right wing, so i don't see any harm in signing him.
my_name_is_Earl Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Possbily Harewood? Hit me when I thought that they've just signed Heskey.
gumboots Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Diouf is a better player then Derbyshire and will help fill the gap on the right wing, so i don't see any harm in signing him. except he's obnoxious
LeftWinger Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I can't stand Diouf. But he'll definitely add to the squad. Smart move from Sam for me. He always looked like Boltons best player against us. EDIT: Nicko has said he doesn't like Diouf in the past, hence him seemingly being not impressed with the move.
VillaSimon Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 How about RSC to Spurs, Bent to Villa and Harewood to Blackburn, Seems quite often now that a lot of transfers are a big 'merry-go-round' similar to the gomes-robinson-friedel deal
Hi Mack Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Possbily Harewood? Hit me when I thought that they've just signed Heskey. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOO!
Jan Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 How about RSC to Spurs, Bent to Villa and Harewood to Blackburn, Seems quite often now that a lot of transfers are a big 'merry-go-round' similar to the gomes-robinson-friedel deal That disaster happens and I will personally shoot John Williams
gazsimm Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 except he's obnoxious if he helps us to stay in the prem, i could not give the toss to be truthfull. Derbyshire is not good enough for the prem end off
Taggart Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 That disaster happens and I will personally shoot John Williams would much prefer RSC to Spurs for 10 million and Bentley coming the other way, and leaving us 10 million to spend on a quality replacement upfront ! We definatley need to streghen our right hand side, and possibly our left midfield slot as MGP isn`t cutting the mustard !
herbergeehh Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Right behind you, Jan. We already have Roberts, and we've had Kuqi, we don't need Harewood. The Greeks say Derbyshire is a loan move without any agreed fee, do you know this is not true, Nicko? Not happy if that is true, Matty is still only 22 and does have a future. Diouf must be it. Not pleased. Not totally against it. At least he can play right wing.
gumboots Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 That disaster happens and I will personally shoot John Williams Join the queue
gazsimm Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Join the queue I am sure Sam will not be signing Harewood so don't worry about that one. If he keeps hold of Santa and adds Diouf to the squad i think we be a far stronger team.
EwoodGlory Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Diouf - Don't like him but would be a decent squad addition Harewood - Please god no, we already have Roberts It's not Alan Smith is it, please don't be.
brian_gallagher85 Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I'll be delighted if we get Diouf in on the right He's much much better there than Derbs could ever be and after watching Emerton play there last night (god love him he tries his heart out) but he's simply not up to it in that position. Hell, I'll be delighted if we signed anybody before the window closes
my_name_is_Earl Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 The candidates seem to be, for me, Diouf, Smith and Harewood. Come on Villasimon, get digging........no news is good news
67splitscreen Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 There's only one thing worse than a tease, NICKO
Bobby G Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Could be Diouf...nicko's silence says alot...
PAFELL Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Only points to one man for me, Diouf? I would rather have Kevin Davies back than Diouf - but must trust the manager I suppose.
Oklahoma Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Nicko, any news on Fred? His agent said he won't join Tottenham. Maybe we could sign him.
mohelger Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 The candidates seem to be, for me, Diouf, Smith and Harewood. nicko wrote that the player due in can play anywhere across the frontline - so that rules out Smith and Harewood...
Kelbo Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I think its Diouff, when I mentioned it to Nicko yesterday on here, he mentioned the Disco!!!! Just hoping its not Stellios Or Henrik Pederson
