philipl Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 City to buy Tevez is my guess. The world, its brother and its uncle's dog would have that one.

BuckyRover Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Villa are in the top 3 with a squad fairly similar to last seasons in quality ......... but with BF between the sticks! Yes, apart from Sidwell, L.Young, Davies, Cuellar and Milner. Approx 30m worth of transfers. But I take your (non) point.
BuckyRover Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 and Heskey and last but not least Shorey and Guzan.
Ste B Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 There's something pretty huge...but it is not Rovers-related. In case of snoopers I will leave it until 11.30-ish. You may not get a chance, I think thats about when our site hosts move the database over !!! Still we may get some performance back on the site then
philipl Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 here is one site saying defoe broke his foot. http://fourfourtwo.com/news/england/24135/default.aspx could be like philipl says, but they could also go mad about keane or any other striker worth £15m or more.... No confirmation on the injury but Defoe has not travelled north for the Notlob game.
AJW Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 considering we only have approx 2 1/2 days before the window closes , if we were to accept an offer for RSC from city or spurs would there be enough time , for any more signings after his replacement

The actual paper work doesn't ake long if it's all ready. I watched a thing on it the last transfer window when nothing much was happening. It's the negotiating that takes the time with the club the player the agent etc. Diouf went through fairly quickly as did Nolan to Newcastle. Where there's a will there's nearly always the possibility of getting it done.
Bennisfromheaven Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 I knew you were looking down at me in the shower last night, Nicko! What were you two having a shower together for!?!?! OOOooooH Sailor!!!
trs Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Another Defoe link http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/foot...FOR-SEASON.html
VillaSimon Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Another Defoe link http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/foot...FOR-SEASON.html Confirmed on ssn as a foot injury not a break , out for 3 weeks
Hughesy Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 QUOTE (Ste B @ Jan 30 2009, 20:04 ) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You may not get a chance, I think thats about when our site hosts move the database over !!! VillaSimon Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 What?!?! Cant they wait until 12pm? Or nicko how about a 11pm because of the above?? or an 8:55pm special bulletin??
cn174 Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 What?!?! Cant they wait until 12pm? Or nicko how about a 11pm because of the above?? I'm sure you can cope just for one day. Or would you rather they moved the database around Monday teatime??
Dunton Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 or an 8:55pm special bulletin?? Nicko can you at least say if its villa related so i dont have to stay up till 12??
andyroversmad Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 does it really matter if its not rovers related
BRFC1995 Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 would the huge non rovers news be tony adams back on the drink, 7m for a spuds reject TAXI for adams
EwoodGlory Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Real Madrid going for Faubert on loan? if so Mail are going early tonight.... Manchester City to splash £45m on Cruz, Given and Toure
brian_gallagher85 Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Silly Season has begun early Crouch for £10million looks a bargain. Although it doesn't seem to match up with Nickos opinion that they need to sell!
colbert Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 I think Hughes is going to resign due to no backing from the owners!!
EwoodGlory Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Is the 'pretty huge' a City approach for Terry?
Kelbo Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Well, I would think its something to do with City or a club going bump!! pompy? hammers? Or Benitez??? resigning or going mad!!! Nicko, Could the Roque thing still happen and if so, how do you rate the link with Crouch? Possible or not?? As a second question, do you think a CM is on the Radar?
LessThanJake Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 would be astounded if City sold Micah Richards. Would be more than happy to see him at Villa or Rovers though, although the latter is nigh on impossible
